Chapter 3: Reveal

Chapter 3: Reveal

The room fell into a heavy silence as all eyes rested on Toshinori, awaiting his revelation. Before he spoke, he took precautions, making sure all the blinds were drawn and the doors securely locked. He turned to his family and said, "Okay, what I am about to tell you is very dangerous and important, so I want you all to agree to never tell this to anyone, okay."

Tamo, Izuku, and Inko nodded in agreement, their curiosity piqued. Sensing their readiness, Toshinori continued, "My quirk is a special one. I wasn't born with it -" "WHAT!?" Tamo and Izuku exclaimed simultaneously, their surprise evident. The revelation that their idol and father were quirkless, just like them, was a shock.

Toshinori raised a hand to calm their outburst. "Let me continue. Just like Tamo now, I was given this quirk. I am the 8th user of One for All, and Tamo is now the 9th. That is the big secret of my quirk: no one can be born with it. The user of One for All is selected by the previous user, and it gets stronger as it gets passed down. Tamo, I have selected you to be the next user of One for All."

Tamo's eyes widened as the weight of the revelation settled upon him. Izuku, while feeling a twinge of jealousy, couldn't help but be happy for his brother. "YOU DID WHAT!?" Inko yelled out, her voice filled with shock and concern, and the room went silent as they all turned to look at one another.

"HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT, AND TO YOUR OWN CHILD, TOSHINORI?!" Inko's anger was palpable. Her emotions ran high, and her accusations were cutting. Toshinori was momentarily stunned. He had never seen Inko this upset since the time she had watched him in the hospital bed, recovering from his injuries due to pushing himself too hard during his hero training.

"Inko, please let me explain," Toshinori began, trying to calm the storm of emotions that had erupted.

"YOU JUST PUT THE BIGGEST RESPONSIBILITY ON OUR CHILD'S SHOULDERS. HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY EXPLAIN THAT?!" Inko's words were a torrent, pouring out of her, fueled by her motherly concern.

Inko yelled out again, and Toshinori was caught off guard. He realized that he had caused immense distress to his wife, and it pained him deeply. "Inko, please listen to me. Tamo has great potential to be a great hero, as does Izuku, but more for support. When Izuku was attacked by the Sludge Villain, Tamo rushed in on his own to help him. And when I defeated the villain, I had the chance to look at the journal that Izuku had written in. He had documented the quirks of numerous pro heroes and how some of them could be used to enhance their abilities. Both of them have great potential to achieve remarkable things."

Inko sat in silence for a moment, pondering the truth in her husband's words. She knew that the potential for greatness existed within both of her sons. "It's okay, Mom. I'll accept this responsibility," Tamo said with determination.

Inko was surprised to hear this, and Izuku, too, was taken aback. She turned to her eldest son and saw a small but resolute smile on his face. "My dream is to become one of the world's greatest heroes, and with this power, I can achieve that dream!" Tamo declared.

Izuku chimed in, his voice filled with determination. "Yeah, my dream is to become the first quirkless hero. But being the first quirkless support hero is just as important, and it will be a great stepping stone for other quirkless people."

Inko looked at both of her sons and smiled warmly. "Okay, then, if that's your dream, I'll allow it, but please be careful."

Toshinori and the boys exchanged smiles of relief. They cheered, "Alright, starting tomorrow, I am going to begin your training, so let's all get some rest."

Tamo and Inko headed upstairs, leaving Toshinori and Izuku alone. Toshinori was about to head upstairs when Izuku stopped him.

"Dad, is there no way for a quirkless person to become a hero?" Izuku asked with a touch of sadness in his voice.

Toshinori looked at his son, his heart heavy with the truth. "I am sorry, Izuku, but as I mentioned before, you do need a quirk to become a hero."

Izuku's face fell, and he was clearly disheartened by the revelation. Toshinori embraced his son. "Get some rest," he said before heading upstairs. Izuku followed his father's advice, heading to bed with a heavy heart.

As Izuku prepared to sleep, he heard Tamo's voice. "That's not true." Izuku turned to see his older brother waiting for him. "What All Might said is not true. I am sure you can become a hero, bro."

Izuku offered a small, grateful smile. "Maybe, but being a support hero is not that bad either."

Tamo sighed and patted Izuku's head. "Get some rest. We have a long day ahead of us."

And so, the Midoriya brothers went to sleep, their dreams filled with aspirations of heroism, support, and the bond that tied their family together, even in the face of uncertainty.
