Sonic let out a bored sigh whilst stretching his arms and legs; Sonic glanced behind himself before disappointingly shaking his head.

"Talk about same idiots different... reskins, remaster?" Sonic said to himself while crossing his arms. He looked down at the tangled Rough and Tumble.

"What do you guys think?". Rough angerly sighed. Tumble placed his hand on his chin and closed his eyes, while he thought.

"Gimmick?" Tumble replied, with Rough yelling at him to stop talking to Sonic; Sonic snapped his fingers at Tumble's response.

"Yeah, that sounds about right....". Sonic smirked as he got an idea. Sonic hopped off a chair made of ice, that swiftly melted away.

"Well Tumble, you're clearly the superior poet but I feel like Rough's kinda holding you back," Sonic remarked with a fake, but convincingly, sympathetic tone. Rough gave Sonic the stink eye.

"What's that supposed to mean!" Rough yelled.

"He does have a point, ya know, most of your rhymes don't actually rhyme, Rough.". With that Rough started to yell at Tumble, goating Tumble to start yelling back at him. Sonic chuckled quietly to himself, making sure the brothers didn't hear him.

At the top of the construct, Surge watched Sonic walk away from the stunk brothers while angrily clawing her fingers against the glass.

"Urrgh, what's wrong with the doofuses, they couldn't even hit him once." Surge yelled. a screeching noise echoed throughout the observation room, making Kit cover his ears with his water tendrils.

"Come on doctor, just let her go, please?". Kit continued to plead with the masked doctor, as the doctor continued to watch Sonic trash more of the Egg-pawns and Badnicks. The Doctor sighed and snapped his left fingers and a dark orange portal formed. Surge saw the reflection of the portal in the window and she smirked. Surge quickly spun around before homing attacking through the portal.

Sonic spin dashed and pierced through the several Egg-pawns before they exploded. Sonic landed on the ground and his ears twitched. He quickly sidestepped and Surge careened into the ground, creating a large EMP that launched the entangled Rough and Tumble into the air. Bolts of energy raced across the floor letting off crackles as they dispersed.

"So we finally meet, Sonic The Hedgehog." Surge proudly proclaimed while pointing at Sonic. Sonic tilted his head, making Surge tilt her head in response while she slowly lowered her arm.

"Have we... met before?" Sonic asked. Surge didn't humour Sonic and instantly tried to hit him with a spin dash, but Sonic easily evaded her attack. Surge quickly stopped rolling before springing to her feet. Surge turned to face Sonic but realised he was gone.

"Your moves look awfully familiar and you know who I am, though I have saved the world multiple times so that's a given," Sonic remarked as he ran backwards and ran circles around Surge. Sonic dawned a surprised expression as a thought entered his mind, and he snapped his fingers.

"Oh I know, you're a fangirl or maybe a stan?" Sonic joked as he put his fist into his palm. Surge gritted her teeth and dug her feet into the ground.

"Don't flatter yourself you glorified pinball; as if I'd... I'd be a fan of you!" Surge barked. Sonic smirked at her, which only made her angrier.

"Knock it off!" Surge yelled before surrounding herself with neon cyan energy and boosting at Sonic. Surge swung a kick, that Sonic swiftly dodged, and a curved energy blade exploded from her foot that sliced a group of Eggpawns in half. Rough and Tumble staggered to their feet, in a dazed state.

Rough quickly snapped out of it and spotted the energy blade speeding towards him, he quickly grabbed Tumble and shoved him to the ground, right before the energy blade raced over them.

Rough and Tumble watched Sonic and Surge continuously homing attacking into each other. Rough quickly got onto his feet and picked up a broken-off Buzzbomber tail. As he aimed it at Sonic, Rough heard two thuds behind him, making him raise his head.

Rough was barely able to turn around before he was smacked in the face by Amy with her Pikopiko hammer and sent flying into a group of Eggpawns.

"Why you!" Tumble yelled as he threw a punch at Amy but his fist was sent flying back by Knuckles, with a devastating left hook whilst covering his fists in chaos energy.

"Why don't you pick on someone in your weight class," Knuckles remarked as he punched his chaos energy-covered fist together.

"I'll have you know, Tumble only weighs 2kgs now," Tumble stated as he stood up.

"Oh..." Knuckles said while lowering his arms before Amy lightly chopped Knuckles on the back of the head.

"Don't go dropping your guard, Knux," Amy stated as she batted away a buzz bomber projectile that struck Rough in the face. Knuckles rolled his eyes at Amy's comment before rushing at Tumble. A gaint energy blast erupted as Sonic and Surge collided into each other. Surge crashed into the ground while Sonic gracefully landed on his feet.

"Damn that hurt, is what I would say if I could feel physical stimuli," Surge snarked as she struggled to her feet.

"Heh, your pretty good; If you weren't a bad guy I would definitely invite you to join the upcoming SpeedsterFest," Sonic remarked. Surge tried to lunge at Sonic but her arms and legs were suddenly slammed into the ground, followed by her face, which knocked her out.

"Geez Metal don't you think that was a little harsh?" Sonic rhetorically asked as he glanced up at Neo Metal Sonic.

"It's Neo Metal Sonic, and I do," Neo Metal Sonic stated callously as he landed next to the unconscious Surge and surrounded her with a black shield(Metal Sonic's black diamond-shaped barrier ability). Sonic peered around and noticed Amy and Knuckles talking to each other, while Rough and Tumble had their stretchy arms wrapped around the wreckage of a large badnick. As Sonic began to yawn, he heard Neo Metal Sonic mumble something causing Sonic to dart his head at Metal.

"Got something to say, Senior?" Sonic smugly asked. Neo Metal Sonic instantaneously spun his head 180° and glared at Sonic, who gave Metal a cheeky grin.

"You do not have the authority to address me by that, Copy" Neo Metal Sonic stated as he spun his body around whilst keeping eye contact with Sonic.

"Don't be like that, Metal; I'm still an official member of the Eggman Empire, or are you doubt the word of your litt-," Sonic remarked before stopping mid-word, with a grin on his face, when a metal sword formed in front of his face. Metal continued to glare at Sonic as the sword slowly morphed back into a hand.

"I suggest you head to the top of the tower before Shadow steals your glory," Neo Metal Sonic stated before blocking a swarm of sharp water tendrils with a black shield. Sonic turned around and called out to Amy and Knuckles.

"Yo Knuz, Amz, can I leave you two and Metal to deal with the rest of the tower's outside defences?" Sonic asked as he transformed into Ice Sonic(the form where his quills turn light teal and his eyes turn yellow).

"Naturally," Amy remarked as struck a badnick behind her with her hammer. Sonic gave the two a cheeky thumbs up before he slammed his foot on the ground and launched himself into the air with a rising ice pillar. Sonic detransformed as he homing attacked onto a grind rail before boosting on it up towards the top of the tower.

Meanwhile, at the top of the tower, the Masked Doctor had his arms crossed while angrily tapping his fingers.

"It appears they've exceeded their previous data since their trip into space; I'll have to recalibrate Surge and Kit... again" the Masked Doctor stated as he watched Kit get overwhelmed by Neo Metal Sonic, Knuckles and Amy.

"Is that so?" Shadow remarked as he appeared in the room. The masked Doctor let out a sigh and turned to face Shadow. The Doctor did a quick glance at the ground.

"It's infuriating you're not standing on the trapdoor," the Doctor remarked as he took a step forwards. Shadow quickly looked down at the floor and saw that there wasn't anything close to his feet that could be considered a trapdoor. Shadow heard a door opening sound and by the time he raised his head, he saw the head of the Doctor falling into a trapdoor.

"I can't believe you fell for that!" Sonic shouted surprisedly as he raced into the room and over to the trapdoor. Shadow scoffed and teleported over to the trapdoor as Sonic was peering into the drop, that the trapdoor led into.

"At least it-".

"Do you have to always bring up the ghost incident?" an unamused Sonic asked as he glanced up at Shadow. Shadow rolled his eyes as he kicked Sonic into the trapdoor before jumping in after him.
