Brief History: Adopted by two of the Zaitha Archives’ scholars—as far as any of them were concerned, they were just as much of a family as anyone who was blood related. However, most of her early life was spent managing a chronic illness; often unable to travel far from the Archives, she took to reading, and eventually writing, fairytales and folklore. As her condition grew worse when she was 13, her parents hired Seldir to keep an eye on her while they tried what they could to help her. After a while—when they knew their hopes were more like fantasy—a spirit came and cured her. Even as she recovered, Seldir stayed by her side; by now, perhaps the only sign she’d ever been sick to begin with is the way her parents worry whenever she gets a cold.
