He stared at his crippled legs for a moment. He was completely dumbfounded. Qing Shan would've stared for much longer if it wasn't for the fact that the throbbing in his head suddenly increased. Like a broken dam, memories rushed through him. Sights he has never seen before and people he has never met flew pass his eyes. New ideas and concepts. A language he has never heard of.
Qi. The energy of nature. It flows through every living creature and certain special materials. An illogical and 'magic' energy which seems to define most laws of physics that he knew of.
Demon Beasts. Creatures who are empowered by the use of Qi and possesses fantastical and terrifying might. With the stronger ones capable of destroying entire countries. They were walking WMDs.
Cultivators. Humans who have learned to harness Qi. Although generally weaker than Demon beasts, they are able to overcome the differences with technique and equipments.
Tai Di Continent. A name referring to both the world and the singular continent it has. It was massive in scale. The planet was likely twice the size of Earth with the continent over three times the size of Pangea.
The Endless Realms. He didn't know whether or laugh in joy or cry bitter tears. That a bunch of nitwits, who still use basically coal and timber for most of their energy needs, discovered and traveled the multiverse before him. Most of these idiots are still dying from smallpox for God's sake! ...Wait does this mean God was real..?
A thought for another time when his head wasn't liable to spontaneously explode.
Sects. Generally similar to what is seen in the novels he reads and online games, they are a group which trains Qi users in combat and other mystical arts.
Spiritual Treasures. Special tools whether through natural predisposition or ancient methods were granted the ability to use and manipulate Qi, some gain quasi to full sentience and are in tune with the flow of the universe.
Nian Zhen Long. His older brother who is an officer in the army.
Fei Hong Long. His talented older brother who was said to be gifted by the heavens. Born with a supreme body for cultivation and martial arts, The Heaven and Steel Body, was quickly recruited into the Iron Bull Sect. The body type allowed him to passively attune himself with qi, absorbing it and saturating his body even when he wasn't trying. He literally ate and shit Qi! The Iron Bull Sect was well known for their physical martial arts and defense they were a well respected and feared group. Basically super powered and legal, though morally wrong, thugs and assholes. Joy.

And finally was Chang Long. His father, or more accurate to say, sperm donor and warden. The previous Qing Shan Long was pitiful youth. Raised within the small courtyard all his life he has never had a friend. His family shunned him because of his state as a cripple unable to cultivate nor walk. He was born with what is known as the Null Curse. A special constitution which made him unable to cultivate.
In fact, not only was he unable to cultivate, the real kicker was that those of his type was considered an ill omen. Not only could he not absorb and make use of Qi, but his very presence would slowly degrade the spirituality of an area. Even an elderly old man who has far surpassed the age recommended for training would be able to make use of Qi if provided with enough instructions, but he couldn't even manage that. In this world where tradition and superstitions were intertwined with facts and the existence of magic, he might as well had the word "Pedophile!" branded across his forehead in terms of interacting with society.
Worst yet, in some countries it was even illegal for him to have offspring!
His 'curse' was genetic, and unlike other constitution types, it was almost a guarantee that it would be passed down. He was all but disowned by his family, living in a small almost abandoned courtyard with a few hired hands who only made sure he was fed three meals a day. Although they were servants in name, they did not truly listen to him and held him in contempt. After all, where else would servants like them gain the opportunity to stand above one of 'noble' blood?
The Long family was one of the 4 major clans controlling Dong Jing City, named the Capital of the south it was one of the major cities rich in natural resources. They export an enormous amount of supplies each year and was a prosperous and wealthy city.
Those were the majority of his memories with small glimpses of other unimportant facts or indiscernible snippets. Flashes of sensations or fleeting conversations from long ago. He couldn't tell if it was because his inherited memories were damaged or if his mind was just too overloaded to continue.
"Status!" He shouted. Nothing happened.
"System start!"
"Mysterious old grandpa..?"
"Dear ancestors, please stop your joking and help this junior?"
Only silence and the chirping of crickets answered him.
"...Are you serious? I've been reincarnated without a cheat? Where is my golden halo of the protagonist?! Where's my lucky charm, my Plot armor? Where are the scenes where I trip and get cushioned between two soft pillows?! WHO THE HELL WROTE THIS SHITTY SCRIPT, COME OUT MOTHERFUCKER! THIS GRANDPA PROMISES I'LL ONLY HIT YOU ONC- NO, ONLY THREE TIMES!"
