Joseph was about halfway through Upper Cloud's Crest Trail when he heard the boom.
The crest gave a wonderful view of the valley, and he could see the rockslide from where he was. He didn't care.
In the nearest town, Coud's Crest, survivalist tendencies are the core of the community. They didn't have enough of an economy to attract money, so they usually had to hunt to feed themselves. Joseph was renowned as the best of the bunch, and he was confident that he could carry through, whether they were trapped for days or for years. he decided that he needed to take stock of the human resources that they had though, so he started heading to the entrance, given that it was the most likely place that he thought people would gather. So he started running. He'd be there in about fifteen minutes.

Liam was fishing in a small cove at the bottom of the lake when he heard the boom.
It startled him significantly, and he dropped his rod into his lake. This was the exact moment that a rather large fish decided to bite, and take the rod to the bottom of the lake. Devoid of his rod and rather irritated, He decided to walk to the entrance, to see what happened.
When he got there, there were two others already there. One male, relatively strong, but not overly so, and probably 5'9". One female, small, but seemingly competent with her way of movement, and probably 5'2".

He decided to stand back and listen to what they were saying. They appeared to be talking about the rockslide in the way of the entrance.
"Hello, what happened?"
They both jumped, but less so then when the female showed up.
"Hi. It seems that a rockslide has blocked the entrance."
Liam could see that already, but he wanted them to let their guard down. Just then, Joseph arrived. If Liam remembered correctly, then Joseph was a renowned survivalist around the area. He was visibly buff, even though his sweater, and Liam thought that the sweater was slightly too small for this particular reason. He had clearly exerted himself to get here, he was breathing a bit deeper than was standard, and he was probably 6'2".
"Rockslide?" He said." That isn't good. We'll probably be trapped for the foreseeable future, at least until next spring, if I had to say, Though that is just a shot in the dark."
The male debriefed him on what they knew so far.
Liam interjected here. "Well, there isn't anything we can do for now, so we might as well take stock of our resources. That would be alot easier if we had names."
"I'm Wayne."
"Erika."
"Joseph here."
"Liam."

Chad was, at that point in time, walking back to the entrance. He was concerned. His meditative exodus had been going very well so far, but he would fail if he did not return in time. He picked some berries from a nearby bush, thanked it for its assistance, and continued walking.
