[C-Rank Mission – Border Patrol Overview]
Team Yuki has successfully patrolled the border of the Yanmaru Clan.
The path Team Yuki took to patrol is now marked as the border of the Yanmaru Clan.
While any respectable Shinobi group has at least one group patrolling at any given time, the Yanmaru Clan is currently still too small to support that effort.
The next Border Patrol mission will be assigned 12 hours from now.
Once assigned, there is a thirty-minute window for you to start the quest before it’s deemed as a failure.
[Rewards: 75 Ryo, Clan Territory feature]
In short succession, another blue screen popped up in front of Hattori. This time, it was one he had never seen before. The Clan Territory feature.
[Clan Territory]
View Clan Territory
View Regional Map
View World Map
View Clan Relations
Create Blueprints
Assign Schedules
Hattori clicked through each, one by one. The View Clan Territory option was simple; it showed an in depth map of the territory that Team Yuki had patrolled On the map, the patrol routes were marked out. Hattori modified them slightly before confirming the changes.
In the same vein, View Regional Map simply opened a map of the province. Many of the things on the map were things he already knew. Bukai, and the Shinja Clan, were not shown – they were in The Land of Water after all. This was a regional map of specifically the Taka province.
Since the World Map was grayed out, along with the Clan Relations, he skipped past both and dove into the Create Blueprints function. The feature was… exactly what he expected. He was able to generate blueprint designs based on keywords he typed into a box.
‘A blueprint for a standard hardened Clay house, in the modern Land of Fire design.’
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Four different options popped up, and he could simply choose the one he liked best. Hattori liked this feature. Although, he did have to hand-draw the blueprints. Once he had the blueprint design in the system though, he could slightly randomize them, giving diversity to the structures he could create. He could also save them for future use if he didn’t want to draw the blueprints at that exact moment. The main issue, he sighed, was going to be hand-drawing them.
The Assign Schedules tab, in Hattori’s mind, was the most interesting and useful of the three.
A Shinobi’s Job is Never Finished.
Assign Schedule
Create Custom Schedule
For some reason, he wasn’t able to create custom schedules. The only option he had available was to assign a schedule. With a humm, he checked it out. There was a single option, with various empty slots below them. Hattori could not add anything to the empty slots, so he simply chalked it up to not having access to the Create Custom Schedule feature. The only schedule he could assign was for border patrol.
Without hesitation, Hattori assigned Team Yuki to the job. The other two teams were gone, and neither would be back for at least a week. Team Yuta would likely not return for two weeks. Team Mei would probably arrive back in just over a week. Hattori went back to the missions tab, contemplating.
Should… he take a mission?
He opened the missions tab, and eagerly clicked on an A-Rank Mission. He had unlocked the option when he’d reached the rank of Jonin, However, he had never touched it… until now. His finger trembled over the letter.
For several seconds, his finger was paused directly above the A-Rank Mission. Eventually, he sighed before dropping his hand. If C-Ranks were a considerably lengthy task, what would a B-Rank be like? What would an A-Rank be like?
So far, Hattori had never backed out of a mission after he had generated one. He had always completed them as soon as he had the System create one. The man was unsure if there was a penalty. So, with a frown on his face, Hattori decided not to accept a mission for himself.
Two days passed, without any drastic change. Team Yuki was becoming more comfortable with patrolling the border. What had once taken them hours to patrol, now only took just over a single hour for an entire go around.
The surrounding territory of the Yanmaru Clan was advantageous, defensively. The territory Hattori had marked out with the border patrols were almost entirely outlined by thick rivers. On the banks of the river, in Yanmaru territory, was around two hundred-fifty meters of clear ground before the foliage began to pop up. So, while the border patrol could remain hidden in the leaves, anyone attempting to infiltrate could be easily discovered.
He nodded sagely. Yes, he had picked a perfect spot for his compound. It wasn’t by coincidence at all. Like that, another week passed by quickly. It was on the dawn of the ninth day when two major changes occurred.
Sukuna Yanmaru (S-Rank Potential)
Miwa Yanmaru (C-Rank Potential)
[The First of Many]
One of your Clan Members has perished in the line of duty.
Chunin Seigo Yanmaru died on their (1st) C-Rank Mission – ‘Escorting Ju D. Hopps’
One of those was a blessing to wake up to, the other, a nightmare. Hattori didn’t know how long he blanky stared at the screen. The man was deeply conflicted about how to feel towards these humans, born from the Founder’s System.
What he knew was that Seigo Yanmaru was like a friend to him, He may have just been a child, but he was a child that Hattori vowed to never forget.
The boy had been with him since he became a Clan Head. With a deep inhale, he looked towards the two new five-year olds. Their appearance meant that Team Mei had completed their mission and were on the way home.
The death of Seigo… meant things were looking grim for team Yuta. With a heavy heart, Hattori left his cabin. The sun had not yet risen; Team Yuki was on patrol at the moment. The man looked towards Sukuna and Miwa.
These were not replacements for Seigo.
