Falling throught the ground to an unifamiliar place was a novel and terrifying experience for Lenore and probably for humanity as a whole, he confusedly looked around.
Her surroundings were strange, made seemingly of gold and Ivory, grand halls and rooms forming a place straight out of a fairy tale castle and at that moment he realised that he HAD to be dreaming right? But even with this surety she just had to be sure, she tried counting and could do so easily, she tries thinking but she could do so flawlessly, she even tried pinching himself and she felt the pain normaly 'this is not a dream' she concluded with a too calm mind for just an instant as the metaphorical dam holding her panic back broke.
She started breathing quickly with her heart almost leaping out of her throat and her entire body becoming as stiff as a statue as she froze, in a sudden moment of cold clarity Lenore realised she was paniking but at the moment she didn't know if she even cared.
While Lenore panicked she was slowly and calmly approached by a cocky figure "so what might you be?" The figure asked curiously to Lenore who didn't even have the presence If mind to acknolege them.
"A mere mortal dares ignore me?!!!!" said the figure enraged that a mortal would dare to ignore them, when Ichcozstly THE god of luxury magnamously gave them a fraction of their precious time and attention, this deserved punishment.

The god extended their arm in Lenore's direction and in a flash of yellow light teleported them to a desolate desert as punishment.
Only after some time passed, Lenore unfroze and realised that he wasn't in the same place, he was now in a desert with Rolling hills of yellow sand and nary a sigb of life.
As he calmed down from his panic the memories of what happend flowed through her mind Lenore let out a small joyless chuckle at the sheer absurdity of it all.
When she stopped chuckling she realized how hopeless the situation really was, there was nobody in sight or even signs of life and he was all alone in an unifamiliar place and maybe even an unfamiliar world.
But still she moved, and tried to survive even knowing that she would probably die, because no matter how unlickely It was she could still at least hope for a miracle to happen and save her.
In the brink of death Lenore simply took the booklet and pen she always carries with her and started writing about her life, her childhood as a student and avid reader, her adulthood as a librarian and the things that lead at last to her end, she even added what she knew of sciences and the world to the booklet, she used the book so she could at least leave a legacy in something she loved.
And so the story of Lenore the librarian ends in a tragic death, but the the world goes on as the end of a story is the start of another.
