|Chapter 5|
~.-.-A Cave?-.-.~
----------------------------------------
“Magic Constructs - A Beginners Guide... “Magic Constructs”, also known as Materialized Magic or Conjuration; Is a fairly simplistic concept. Normally requiring nothing more than sufficient mana and technique with a few exceptions, this form of the Arcane Arts is a real game changer. By evoking a magic construct’s runic composition in the correct configuration via the mind; One can conjure objects composed of neutral mana to fulfill its designated purposes. In contrast to spells formed of elemental mana, a magic construct is formed by null-charged particles. Thus they abide by widely different universal laws; With notably less restrictions. But this comes at the cost of its detailed formulas and eccentric behaviors... - Klauscii Tripache, “Magic Man - Witch Doctor””

??? - POV -
‘Glurgllll...’
Sluggishly, I retracted my splayed form inwards, shifting my gelatinous mass around my manastone. Finished reforming myself, I groggily shift my perception upwards; Reluctant to mov---’!!?!’ Recalling my previous memories, I bound upwards; Hurtling towards--
‘BANG!’
Stunned, I slump back towards the ‘ground’. But instead of landing in the pile of decaying leaves that once cluttered my hole; I landed on top of a frigid, incredibly hard surface. Dazed, I slowly begin to examine my surroundings.
‘...this is NOT my hole...’

In fact, this doesn't even remotely resemble the forest from which I once resided. The room was composed of what looked like dead trees and weirdly symmetrical gray rocks, laid in a Running bond pattern. All of which reside in a slightly offset cubic hole; Intermittently lit by strange, tapering objects protruding from either side of the strange cave. But the most intriguing thing, as well as the most concerning; Was what I was laying in.
Slithering across the fairly limited space in which I now occupy, I couldn’t help but become increasingly bewildered. It was like nothing I had ever experienced before. I’ve been in plenty of other caves and holes, but this is new. The object was made of numerous reflective, near flawlessly smooth stone bars. All cleanly melded into two flat, similarly reflective slabs of stone; Corralling me from all possible directions. The entirety of which wreathe in a perplexing; Almost mystifying green light. Trying to bypass the shimmering oddity, I find that I’m immediately impeded. Repelled by an invisible force likely due to the strange yet fascinating oddity.
‘Where was I?’
Pondering, I wobble side to side; Utilizing every ounce of the profound intellect residing in my
lustrous, magnificent core. And after much needed rumination, I came to a conclusion.
‘I don’t know...’
There was no conceivable way that a Noisy One could have found me. I had expertly covered my tracks from my latest expenditure. And there were no caves near my hole that I could have unknowingly stumbled upon. Thus I was at a complete and utter loss—

Nuki - POV -
Finished eating my seared Piscoruscis and potato wedges; I stood up from the inn’s rickety dining table. Heading off for the cellar, I make my way through the crowding groups of grisly guildies. After grinding through the tightly packed rabble, I at last manage to pop out and into the passage way leading to the back door.
Dusting myself off, despite there having been nothing there; I walked around to the cellar door. With a dragged creak I pulled the old, hinged wood flaps. Stepping down inside, I continued forth and through the, now clean, spiraling corridor. Upon reaching the bottom, I glance slightly to the right. Only to stop as my eyes rested on my newest, light blue, amorphous blob.
