Kill
Vanya looks around one of the shields. Arrows still rain down around them, but they are completely safe. She had stopped her warriors from firing a while ago and told them to collect every arrows still usable. “Let the enemy fire as much as they want, as long as we fire now and then we will keep their attention focused on this side. I just hope Aldowin and Slyfer are okay.” The thought makes her frown, Slyfer is supposed to be her enemy, why is she hoping for his well-being.
At this moment near the other entrance Slyfer is staggering up. “Where is Fira, I must get to her, I must keep her safe.” He gathers his wits and looks around. He spots the mangle body of the horse instantly, and next to it; “The tin can actually survived!” His heart starts to beat in his ears, drowning out the sounds of battle not far away, He looks towards it.
One of his warriors put his lance in a human face, the wolf under him is taring at the mounts neck, and with a shake of its head, breaks it with a snap. The man lets out a battle cry and the wolf rushes toward their next victim. Ban’s voice can be heard gathering his troops. “To me, to me soldiers. Form up, let’s kill these dogs! Don’t let them pass.” Slyfer turns away and he sprints toward the Tin can, drawing his sword at the same time. with its deathly ring!
Fira coughs and gasps for breath. Her mind calls to her mount, but is rewarded with no answer. Worried she takes stock of herself. “Nothing is broken, but it hurts everywhere!” She grunts and sits up, causing the settling dust to stir a little. Red blood from somewhere flows into one of her eyes, making her curse as she try to wipe it away.
Shwwwing! The unmistakable sound of a sword being drawn rings out close to her. “The body of the horse is nearby, that means the shiny bastard is also here, somewhere.” She gets to her feet, her senses alert while she starts to gather magic. She draws her sword and curses at herself for being so negligent. Her magic had obviously not worked on the human and she had not paid attention. She makes her way around the horse, limping on one leg.
A flash of steel is the only warning she gets, and she blocks the descending blade that makes her wrist protest in pain. Her hand feels numb and she looks at the human. Like before his face is grim. She gets a bit of distance by stepping back, but he is on her. "Fast!’"his blade cuts from the side, aiming for her hip. Her sword descends to block again with a clang of steel. The pain in her wrist only intensifies, but the human in his shiny armor pushes on. Attack after attack she blocks, unable to counter.
His blade suddenly slips past and cuts her thigh, making her scream in pain. Slyfer hears the scream and an energy that was not there before but tightly locked away, starts to boil. He pushes against the ground covering the remaining distance in a split second. His senses pick her up instantly and he volts over the horse nearly crashing into the two in their desperate battle.
The captain jumps back just in time to save his neck from Slyfer’s ringing sword. The captain’s face finally changes from his grim faced mask to one of acceptance. “I apologize Martha, please take care of the kids.” With his little prayer finished he lunges forward! Slyfer smirks and his fist lashes out connecting with the tin-cans jaw and breaking it. The man spins twice in place before hitting the ground with a crunch! Fira, angry, steps forward to finish him off. “Wait, we need him.”
She looks at Slyfer while he takes off the horned helmet and struggles with herself. She can feel her dragon’s feelings inside him, he too wishes to kill the cockroach, but he resists. ‘How can he feel like this and still resist?’ After taking a few calming breaths, she lowers the sword, her venomous eyes still not leaving the crumpled up human. Slyfer steps forward and bends down touching her thigh as he inspects it. The look she has turns into one of surprise.
“Don’t… don’t just touch me there so unexpectedly!” He smiles then plants a kiss right above the cut! His eyes don’t leave hers. She blushes and looks away. “You should be more careful my flame Princess.” As he says this, a bedraggled and dusty Grey King appears, he then walks over to Fira’s wolf, smelling at it. He looks at them. “That horse must have one hard head, this one is knocked out cold!” Slyfer stands up smiling at the still blushing Fira and picks her up. She doesn’t reject him and instead puts her arm around his neck.
Grey king leans down and he puts her on his back gingerly. “We can come back for her later, right now we need to go help the others.” He takes one more longing look at Fira before putting on his helmet again. The atmosphere changes, as he puts one arm around her middle. “You ready?” She nods.
“Let’s go finish this!” Grey King moves on with the two mounted on his back. They head for his lance first, and then to where the fighting looks the worst! Ban has his warriors collected into a tight group, they are tearing up the enemy, by the time Slyfer arrives most of the enemies are already dead or dying. “Ban, send a warrior to go and secure the captain who is back there. Do not hurt him, he is now our prisoner.” Ban doesn’t question, he doesn’t ask, he just obeys. A warrior heads of to do as he was told.
Slyfer looks at the rest of the bloody dirty warriors and wolves. “Well done! But the fight is far from over! Form up on me. Let’s go free this town of its rodent infestation!” As soon as the ranks are reformed, Slyfer counts. “Seventeen warriors and eighteen wolves, the training and equipment paid off!” The group starts to move into the town at a brisk pace. “Watch out for archers, don’t get blindsided.”
In the house with Aldowin, Jade has regained some of her spirit and his trying to treat Aldowin’s wound to the best of her ability. So far no attack has come, but Aldowin feels it’s only a matter of time. A call that brings a smile to his pale face comes from the front of the house. “I can see the juggernauts, they are inside the town!”
Jade gets up and heads toward the window, she gasps when she sees the mounted group. “Somehow the look fits Slyfer perfectly.” She smiles for the first time in five days. Her smile disappears, not far ahead, a group of enemy soldiers are gathering in front of Slyfer with pikes and any kind of pole or sharpened stick they could put their hands on.
Slyfer’s grip tightens around Fira, he whispers in her ear. “Conjure magic around my lance, let’s make these fools wish they had never stepped past the mountain.” He lifts his lance into the air, giving the signal for a halt. He looks around at the dead bodies of villagers. “Lives so easily destroyed and for what? What kind of threat could these poor sobs possibly have posed?” Fira feels her anger increase along with Slyfer’s, until she can’t tell the difference between the two!
Slyfer gives a hand signal. The others look confused, but the answer to their confusion is soon given by the trio in front’s actions. Slyfer’s lance suddenly starts to burn. Causing everything around to heat up and simmer. Slyfer laughs, and Fira finds herself giggling as well. “Humans, we have come to give you the answer to your question, we have come to give you death!” His voice booms through the town covering every inch of it, no one that is there can possibly have missed it, no one that is there is not affected!
Some of the humans want to turn around and run, not willing to face the demon from hell and his valkyrie! Grey King lunges forward and Slyfer pulls the lance back. Humans cry out in fear as they descend upon them. Their hair and skin gets burned by the heat even before Slyfer reaches them. After giving Slyfer a head start in order not to get in his way, the other juggernauts start to move as well, just like he ordered. Slyfer feels his magic surge and with a though an explosion erupts in the front line.
It sends body parts and humans flying causing the ones further away to topple over. He laughs louder as they enter the now broken ranks of the enemy. Swipe! Swipe! Swipe! With each swing of his weapon, Slyfer takes lives, those that don’t die because of the lance die because they get burned just by being near. Fira increases the fire with every swipe, turning the scythe into a bigger one made out of flames, it shoots out molten hot waves, as it gets swung by Slyfer behind her! Together they turn into a god of war, untouchable, unstoppable, terrifying and terrible to behold.
Those that are in front get trampled by Grey King as he rams through them, some of their pole arms get past, but they break on his armor, or only cause light wounds. He growls as he takes of another head that dared to be in front of him. He uses his paws to crush the spikes on them, stabbing and breaking bones as he rushes through what looks to be puny two-leg ants to him.
They cut through the group of around sixty warriors like a hot knife through butter, and before they know it, they reach the other side, but the screams don’t stop, they only intensify the other juggernauts are now also in the fray, mowing down troops as they make their way toward their war god. “Maim, kill, burn! Maim, kill, burn!” They hack and slash. Wolves bite, tearing off limbs taking of heads. It’s a painting of death and the juggernauts are the artists doing what they were meant to, what they were trained to!
By the time they reach Slyfer, not a single human is left standing. Without a word and still laughing, Slyfer resumes their stroll of death through the town.
Vanya had heard Slyfer’s voice boom over the town. It gave her goosebumps, but it also brought a smile to her face. “The beast is okay! Forwaaard!” Her warriors had each grabbed a side of a shield and picked it up, carrying it forward, grunting with the effort. Whenever archers had tried to turn toward Slyfer and his group Vanya would unleash arrows on them.
They made their way closer to the town behind the shields, keeping the enemy archers pinned, killing one now and then. The cries of people dying also filled up the town and then it became deathly quiet. Vanya had reached the wall by now and had seen some humans running away, her warriors have no mercy and keeps shooting. Two of the male warriors run to stand next to a building bending low and readying their hands.
She runs, takes a deep breath, steps on the hands and jumps as they thrust upwards carrying her up over the wall, as she goes by, she draws her thin blade! White faces greet her on the other side. Soldiers still unwilling to run hiding in ambush! Vanya is not the only one that jumped, others followed! Daggers fly past her, impaling the nearest soldiers she lets out her own battle cry to get rid of the fear gripping her heart.
Vanya lands on a body, nearly tripping, but she rolls to break the fall it carries her over and she stabs the person in front of her. The thin blade makes a sickening squelch as it enters the stomach of the man who had just aimed an overhand blow at her head. Two more wasps land followed by more and they join the fray. Daggers fly, aimed at necks and eyes they can find, most killing upon impact, other just cutting them. All of this is followed by a desperate close quarters combat.
The wasps don’t fight one on one, they jump around in what looks like crazed berserkers fighting, but in reality this is all planned. One blocks while the other stabs, one kicks while the other punches. They suddenly switch targets in the middle of battle stabbing a soldier behind them or to the side, all the while jumping around erratically.
The style of fighting looks reckless and dangerous but one is never left uncovered by the others. Even with the training two wasps still die. It angers Vanya and she redoubles her efforts, the fear of killing gone now she only needs to survive, she needs to save her warriors, they trained together, lived together, ate together, she knows each one by name. “You dare hurt my warriors! Die bastards, die!” Her cry gives the others heart and they push harder, fight faster, stabbing, throwing, kicking and punching as they move around in what looks to be a beautiful dance of death!

Only when a wasp touches her shoulder does Vanya realise that she is sitting on a man while stabbing him in the ribs repeatedly. “My lady, it’s over, it’s over.” Vanya stops, tears are running down her face along with the blood of her enemies. She rubs at it feeling dirty, but her hands are also covered in blood and it only makes it worse.
Her eyes go still and she feints her last thoughts being “What have I become!”
Nearby, sweaty and stressed, the commander is glaring through the window as his forces are executed and destroyed. The voice he heard had finally drawn him away from torturing the last girl he had brought over. He quickly dressed and started to finally realize the situation. His pudgy eyes grow cold. “How dare they, how dare they, do they think they can attack me and get away from it? My father will destroy them, he will kill them all!” Just then a thought dawns on him. Yellow liquid flows down his pants with this thought and he shakes his head making his cheeks wobble. “My father…. My father is not here, yes he is, he is always there when I am in trouble, daddy always saves me! Daddy will come yes daddy will come.” He shuffles in his pee on the floor from one foot to the other, as he repeats the words to himself.
He says it again and again, trying to calm himself. A ragged laugh starts from behind him. He turns to the bloody and crippled girl he had tortured a moment ago. Even with half her leg cut off and an ear missing she still has the eyes he hates. Eyes that he has known from a young age. Eyes of disdain, eyes that look down on him, he hates it….. He hates it!
Even now he can hear the teasing of the other kids and the girl, the one who had fooled him, made him believe that he was special, only to rip it away in front of everyone. His sad crying face turns into a smile as he remembers her screams. She was his first victim. He had followed her for days, relentlessly spying on her till he had his chance, till he could make the bitch pay for what she had done to him! Her death was too quick though. After all he was new at it, he didn’t know how to make them last, he didn’t know if you made the blade searing hot, it would stop them from bleeding out too fast.
But he learned, oh yes he learned, he made them all pay, but his father found out and sent him away. With the same eyes, with the same look as the others, he sent him away. At first he cried and cried, but soon he realized the benefits! He could now do as he wished. When he reached this little town, it was like a dream becoming true!
He scowls at the girl as she looks at the yellow stain on his pants with her condescending eyes. “You, you are going to die. Far… “Cough cough* …far worse than any of us. You are going to pay!” The commander wobbles over screaming. “Shut up, just shut up!” He leans closer and kisses her she tries to turn her face away but he holds it in place. His voice suddenly turns soft. “Why can’t you just love me? Why do you hate me?” He kisses her again this time the girl is limp. He forces his tongue into her mouth and she bites down. He screams like a pig, squealing before it gets slaughtered and floundering around.
He hits her in the stomach, over and over but she bites down, grinding her teeth together. He suddenly comes free with a sickening snick sound. He falls on his ass holding his mouth as streams of blood flows out. She spits the piece of tongue in her mouth at him. “Go die, little pig hahaha!” The commander gets up and runs out screaming like a mad man, as soon as he is gone the girl starts to cry, wishing she was dead, she is nothing but a broken woman now, a cripple, useless.
Slyfer is instantly drawn to the squealing, pig like scream. He rushes toward where the sound is coming from and nearly runs over the crazed and bloody, fat thing. Fira averts her eyes from the sight burying her face into Slyfer’s chest. “Stop him!” One of the warriors rushes after him to follow Slyfer’s command. Slyfer turns to Ban. “Take three warriors and go inspect the house!” Ban dismounts and quickly runs in.
A moment later, two of the warriors come out faces pale and sickly because of what they had seen. “My lord, we can’t explain, it’s… its better if you come and have a look yourself.” Slyfer dismounts and Fira wants to follow, but he puts his hand on her leg. “Stay for now…. Please?” She looks at him and only nods, a bit of displeasure on her face. He looks at her leg. “Try to put something on your leg, that will help. If it makes a scar I will feel guilty forever.”
When Slyfer enters the house the first thing that hits him is the strong smell of blood and rotting flesh. He can’t help but pull his nose, he feels like he wants to throw up. From the entrance to the room where the warriors are now standing, he can see blood stains littering the wooden floor. Flies are buzzing around in glee before they settle down again only to be disturbed by Slyfers footsteps. He walks forward, careful to try and not step on it. He knows it’s stupid and he is already covered in blood from battle, but somehow this feels different, this feels dirty.
As he gets closer, his heart pounds louder. He doesn’t know what he is going to see, but a part of him is afraid of it. He swallows and then slowly opens the door and steps through….
His stomach lurches, threatening to force out his breakfast which he keeps down, however he can’t hold back the anger that rose along with it. His anger grows as he clenches his fist, his teeth grind together and the very air starts to bend around him the wooden walls. The floor starts to crack! Ban and the others step away to get some distance, still, the anger grows and grows. Anger not caused by the darkness in him, but pure righteous anger. It fills his core, his being, all of him. Fira outside feels it and jumps off rushing into the house as soon as her feet touch the ground, she nearly fall because of her weakened leg.
She stops behind him and gasps. In front of them is make shift table with shackles on them. On this table is a human girl tied down. Her toe nails have been pulled out and one ear is missing. A part of her leg has been cut with something so hot it had cauterized the wound as it made it. The girl was obviously naked, but Ban has covered her with a dirty sheet he found somewhere. He just stands, his gaze shifting between Slyfer and the girls.
Slyfer steps forward, his body trembling with an anger he can barely control, at each steps, cracks spread. He stops next to the girl. He rubs her hair gently. Her vacant staring gaze finally turns and looks through the room at the strangely clad people. It finally settles on a horned demon with glowing eyes. “Have I died, is this hell?” Slyfer shakes his head and not wanting to scare the girl takes off his helmet.
Her eyes still stare at him blankly and tears run down her face. “No, you are safe now.” He gently takes her limp hand in his. “I promise, I will catch whoever did this and make them pay, so tell me who was it?” Her face changes to fear and she looks away. Fira comes closer and takes the girl’s other hand. “Its fine, you can tell him.” The girl looks at Fira. Seeing another woman calms her down a bit. Her blank gaze wavers a little, but in the end remains the same. She answers in a monotone. “It was the commander, but I got him good she smiles and the dry blood on her mouth makes it look gruesome.
Fira ignores her urge to turn away. “What does he look like?” The smile disappears. “He is fat, the fattest man I have ever seen, I bit off his tongue, hopefully he ble-“ She stops when Slyfer lets go and puts his helmet back on. He sends out his senses as far as he can, not caring that there may still be magicians around that can attack his mind. He picks up the thing they had seen running away earlier. His warrior on the wolf has him cornered not far from where they are!
He looks at Fira. “Please look after her, I will be right back.” Fira hears the seemingly calm voice, but she can feel the anger in Slyfer. She nods. “Go get him.” Before her words are even finished Slyfer is gone. As he walks toward the front door, a black aura starts to envelop him. The floor, the door, everything and anything that touches him turns to dust!
The warrior looks at the thing holding its mouth, it had tried to speak a few times, but it had only come out as wails. He urges the wolf forward and even more yellow liquid flows down the already stained pants. The warrior grimaces in disgust. “Human stay still or I will kill you.” The menacing voice coming from the rider only makes the Commander more frantic to get away. He had run this way faintly remembering the Bassisk cage was somewhere in this area, but he took a wrong turn and is now cornered. The warrior dismounts and get ready to lunge in order to catch squealing human.
The warrior stops when he feels the hair on the back of his neck raise. He wants to turn around to see what is coming, but he can’t move, he is too afraid to! Slyfer without even making a sound appears next to him, as if coming out of nowhere.
The human by now is curling up into a ball on the ground, he smells of piss and shit, which is even now spilling out of his dirty clothes. Slyfer walks up and for a moment only stares down at the whimpering human in front of him. “So you like hurting girls, torturing them, abusing them. Slyfer lifts his boot and kicks the commander, making sure not to make it a killing blow. Bones snap and the human screams, his leg pulverized by the kick.
Slyfer laughs. “That’s it, scream, you abomination!” He kicks again crushing a foot. The commander passes out because of the pain, but is soon awakened by his leg that is starting to burn, driving even more pain into his mind. Slyfer bends down again looking at the human like you would at a science experiment. “You know, I have always struggled against myself wanting to keep my “humanity”, in order to stay sane.” Slyfer looks at the crushed foot and reaches out. The foot starts to dissolve as soon as the black aura touches it.
Slyfer hears a familiar voice in his head. “That’s it boy, embrace me-“Slyfer thoughts turn inward instantly. “Shut up, this is my show now, shut up or I will find a way to come for you next!” The voice goes quiet, but Slyfer can still feel it staring through him.
The commander screams incoherently with his cut off tongue spilling blood. Slyfer feels the familiar feeling of his horns growing, but this time everything feels clear and focused. As he points at the human, he sees as nothing more but an insect!
“I don’t feel like keeping anything back today, today I want to become the demon many see me as, today I want to be the demon that torments you!” Slyfer cocks his head. He suddenly grabs the commander’s ear and pulls at it, tearing it off halfway, blood rushes down the human’s face, he opens his mouth, but nothing comes out. “Hey are you listening, I am talking to you worm- oh shit hahaha you can’t hear without an ear.” Slyfer throws the piece of ear away.
“Slyfer stop!” Aldowins voice interrupts Slyfer’s fun. He doesn’t turn around to look at his master. “Why, just look at him master, is he worth stopping for, is he worth the very air he breaths. His life is nothing, HE is nothing but my plaything!” Aldowin hobbles forward with the help of Jade. The other blades are gathered behind him.
“This is not the way! You are not this, this right now, is not you.” Slyfer laughs. “Maybe this is the real me, what do you truly know about me?" Slyfer stands up and gestures to the rest. “What does anyone truly know about me? Insects, people like this guy are nothing but insects and must be squashed, the world is sick, it must be changed, cleansed!”
Aldowin’s heart stops. “A boy will be born unlike any other, his destiny to destroy or save the world, his choice to make or break it.” He swallows. “Slyfer listen to yourself!”
Slyfer steps on the commander again and cranes his neck back to look at the master.
“I am master, for the very first time, I truly am.” As he says it the black aura grows and as if happy, it licks at the area around it turning anything into nothing. Aldowin sees in surprise that the human remains untouched, in the deathly aura.
“Oh don’t worry, this one won’t die so easily.” A part of the humans leg starts to corrode and he screams again.
