Synopsis
Simkha was having a bad time at University. She couldn't make herself sit for exams. She couldn't date cute girls. She could barely force herself to dress like a functional human being most mornings. She was completely unprepared to deal with the un-diagnosed personality disorders that she wasn’t sure she had.
Simkha needed to figure herself out if she wanted to get through school. What was this feeling in her stomach? Why was she angry? If only she had some reliable way to measure her wants, needs, and abilities.
This story is a light sci-fi mental-health progression fantasy. Its sci-fi elements begin in Chapter 1.3 – Simkha's Worse Night, then fill out from there. The story will address questions like:
- Why is my body angry at me?
- Is time travel possible?
- Why can't I concentrate when I study?
- Is self-care easier with the help of alien super-technology?
- Is it okay to be autistic?
- Can I ascend to a higher plane of existence?
- Should I blame all my problems on my best friend?
- No? Then what about kissing her? Should I kiss my best friend instead?
