Without the need to eat, without much need for rest, only occasional maintenance on my body, I had no need to venture beyond that slab of grey metal. There was no reason to take the first step, but I was compelled. Drawn, even, to the possibilities of what is, was, and could be. I’m not entirely sure whether or not this desire is from my fragmented mind or the innate drive which drove this world to its current state of being.

Maybe curiosity is a sin. The great folly of man and the entirety of its race paid the price. Perhaps it is wrong to continue down this path, but here I am, taking the firsts steps to discover this new world.

There is no reason for my existence other than to exist. That is why I must venture out, to discover my place in the world, to know what has become of the world, and to continue this fragmented legacy within my mind.
