After long sickness, the old king, gathered his family and highest dignitaries to officially designate a successor. As tradition sayit should be his oldest son. He points at me saying that he puts the future of this nation in my hands. But im not one of his sons, just a mere servant let in for convenience.

The room fell into silence. Everyones eyes were on me some with curiosity, some with envy and some with bloodlust. And my eye unconsciously was set on the first prince.

"What are you saying your majesty. He is just a servent" the man who said it, was the court doctor.

Murmur started to arise around the chamber

"Your majesty, father. How can you do this to m..... i i i mean how can you make a servant your successor. People will laugh at you and at our kingdom."

"The first prince is right your majesty. After getting bestowed with the blessing of the goddess of earth, how can we let a mere servant rule the holy land?" The holy bishop couldn’t keep his silent anymore

All of sudden with a BANG!! the door of the kings chambers opened up and a elegant, beautiful middle aged women showed up. She rushed to the side of the bedridden king.

"Your majesty. I heard you are in your last moments so i rushed for you." it was the one and only queen of the king.

"Mother, it seems father is losing his sanity in his last moments" the first prince started to rub his closed eyes, acting like he was worried for his father to lose his sanity.

Everyone in the room was shocked upon hearing him but no one dared to say anything

"What do you mean prince?!" the queen unknown of the situation couldn’t help but ask for answers

The first prince told his mother, the queen about his father, the Kings wish to make a servant the next king of this holy kingdom.

"What are you saying prince. So does this means his majesty really lost his... " queen understood the script his son wrote and acted based on it immediately shading tears of crocodile.

"You fools. Im sane enough to tell my successor as per the rule of the first child inheriting the throne"

"But your majesty i never bore that filthy servant in my belly nor did i ever heard of you having a second queen or a mistress. Then how can this servant be you first child"

"Yes i never had another queen nor a mistress but i once had a lover in my life " hearing about the kings love affair from his very own mouth, everyone presented in the room couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

"When i was a crown prince i met a women a very beautiful women. She visited this country for the first time that time. I showed her around and spent time with her and one day, before i knew, i fell in love with her. She shared the same feeling as mine. We had a wonderful time together until her time here was up. She had to return to become a spirit as she was no ordinary girl but a fairy, an 'earth fairy'. Her material body was fading away so she had to bid farewell. Before leaving she left me with two gifts. A symbol of our love, and a blessing of earth fairy which you all know as the blessing of the earth goddess."

After knowing this secret everyone's jaw dropped on the ground

"My symbol of love with my dear fairy is the boy over there, the servant and my first son whom i couldn’t claim at that time as my father, the last king didn’t allow me to. He sent him far away from me and took promise from me to not search for him, unless he will kill my son. But after i secceded thr throne, i searched for him but couldn't bring him to the castle. Bcause of all the evil eye he would get" the king looked at the queen and some other officials.

My cheeks felt hot all of a sudden. When i touched it my fingers were soaked in my tears.

"Come here my son, and please do forgive me. But i tried my best to keep you safe until this day"

I went to the king that is to say my true father.

"I spoke too much. But I'm glad i told you everything about your truth. So before my time ends, i hearby declare you the next king of this holy land as the first son of the earth goddess and mine "

And thus that's how i became the king of this holy land.
