Chapter 9: The Special Day

Five months passed by. I continued to learn some languages with Vieta and got some help from Desha, and Rias has also been calmer with me these past few months.

It was all the same for those few months, and tonight, I was currently alone in my room with the oil lamp on as I challenged myself to learn some demon tongue. I looked tired and completely confused since I had been there for thirty minutes now.

I would lay back, but I went too hard that the chair also fell back, and I yelped, "Ah!" As I fell on the floor, I didn’t really care and just exclaimed, "Ugh! I feel like I can’t do this anymore!" I would wipe my hands on my eyes down to my chin as I felt tired.

Someone would knock on my room door. "Come in…" I said out of boredom.

I looked to my right and noticed Vieta coming through the room and saying, "Master Tenshi. I picked up something that one of the maids wanted me to give you. I guess it’s some package by someone you know?" She asked as she held a box.

"Huh?" I said with confusion.

***

A couple of minutes went by, and Vieta left the room, where I now had the wooden box with me. I was sitting at my desk, wondering what it could be. "Huh…" Maybe Taren, Ria, or someone from back home wrote something for me.

I opened it, and my eyes widened as I saw a note in there with a written name that said, "Larah Shirasu." I had a big smile. "Oh my God… Master… Master!!!" I hugged the note and sniffed it. It smells like her; it smells like her! I said to myself as I got out of the chair with excitement. "Heheheheheha! She actually wrote back!" I looked back at the note, opened it, and started reading it.

***

Four months earlier. Larah would currently be on the balcony of the palace in the Zelwesla region, which looked like a beautifully small kingdom. Larah had an opened wooden box on the table as she was currently writing the note I would read four months later.

She would read out the note to herself, which would say, Dear Tenshin, it’s good to see you still remember me. I never thought I would hear from you again, but I’m glad. But you're really in the city of Celine taking a job for a noble? That’s amazing! I’m proud of how far you’ve come, but it makes me wonder why. Maybe it's for that tuition money, perhaps? Either way, I’m glad to see that you are doing just fine. Feels like yesterday since the last time we met; you went from seven to nine in an instant. But Desha as your tutor in the sword? This doesn’t mean you quit being a mage, right? Kidding, I know how desperate you were to be one. But glad things are going well while I still have this… decently great student… Larah would ponder for a bit. "What else…" she said.

Someone would begin to walk up behind Larah, and he would put his hands on her thighs, but before he could, Larah would aim her staff right at his neck. "Noah, take your hormones elsewhere, but on me, I ask again."

Noah backed his hands away as he looked at Larah, a little frustrated, and said, "Such disrespect; you should know to call me your Highness and not my name." The boy looked to be in his teenage years, having brown hair, well-dressed as a prince, and brown eyes.

Larah would pull her staff back. "Maybe once you treat me with respect, I’ll do the same. If it’s too much to ask for, you could always kick me out and just find a new tutor; how about that?" She asked as she smirked. She would look back at the note.

"Wait, don’t turn away from me! I had something to show you," He said as he dug through his pockets.

She rolled her eyes and looked to see what he would pull out. He pulled out a painting that resembled her quite well with almost no mistakes, and it was the same one I drew. It looked really well drawn and colored, as it looked like it was drawn with a pencil crayon, which Larah wouldn’t know since it doesn’t exist in this world but paint.

She looked at it with shock and confusion. "H… How?! And why is it so… p-perfect?!"

Noah would have a perverted grin. "I know, right? Whoever drew this must really be talented. They even have your right pantie color," He said as he stroked the area where her panties would be showing.

She looked at him with absolute shock and disgust as her eye twitched. She quickly grabbed her staff and shot him with wind magic.

"Ah!" He shouted as he flew back, barely harmed.

She quickly grabbed the paper that flew in the air and looked at it. "Uh…" she questioned as she didn’t know how else to react.

***

In the present, I continued to read: But yeah, the prince showed me a painting of myself that looked ridiculously good, even more detailed than what a normal painter would achieve. It does disturb me a little. But besides that, let’s get to your question. So, you plan on learning as many languages as possible.I can’t help with everything, unfortunately. Sorry about that. However, I can assist with the demon tongue, which is the hardest to learn. I took the time to compile a notebook that translates demon languages into human languages because, apparently, almost no one in the Zelwesla region sells many books related to demons, which is odd. Not illegal, just not so popular I guess. I hope this information helps. Here are my words of wisdom for you: no matter what, don't let anything hold you back. I believe in your ability to face challenges because I've never encountered a boy as brave and intelligent as you. By your magic tutor -Larah Shirasu

I smiled. "Once again, Master delivered me something to smile about." I would look over at the box and grab the journal inside it. All right, let's see what you gave me… I opened the journal as I flipped through another page every three seconds. "Whoa, everything here really is hand-drawn. She really did all of this for me?" Like, holy crap, this is like hundreds and hundreds of pages long! All that patience for me?

I would put my hands together in a praying manner. I promise I’ll do anything for you. Next time we meet, my goddess, I will literally suck a nipple for you. I would have the realization of something. But wait, she mentioned a painting, not two. Then what happened to the other one?

***

Two months had passed, and It was a snowy morning. I was at the library, continuing to learn new languages. At that moment, I glanced under my shorts to see if the ‘little guy’ had finally grown, but it was still too small. "Damn, still not much," I muttered to myself as I continued to look at the notebook Larah had sent me. Curious to see how puberty will hit again. I mean, probably the same… or maybe not. Huh, I never thought of that. I cleared my throat.

"Icrra no dura shak tacke," I read out from the paper that I wrote in a demon tongue with human words. I smiled. "Now I’m getting the hang of it." I continued to look through the notebook as I checked out the word I said. Wow, this language-learning stuff is getting easier and more fun. I guess after living here for a while, this stuff turned out to be fun. I am doing well on demon and demi-human already. Way to go, me. And I complained that German was hard back in my world. I chuckled.

I would look over to my right as I saw another book lying on the table called The False. Ooo, that book looks interesting. Or it’s just facts about things on what not to do about… something. "Well, I’m getting bored, so why not find out?" I would reach over to grab it, but my three cowlicks quickly stood up as I felt goosebumps go from my hand to my entire body. "Uh…?" I grabbed my hand and looked at it. The hell? I looked down at the book. Why am I so on edge this morning? Weird.

***

Three months had passed. It was a rainy late afternoon, and the magical circle in the sky started to get more purple and spark up a bit. It seemed that Salina was also pregnant again, which meant Rias was about to have a little sister. Rias was currently sparring with Desha while I sat on the stone shaw bricks, watching them.

"Ha, hya!" Rias grunted with each swing of her wooden sword. Desha pushed her back with her own sword, causing Rias to stumble and fall. "Ah!" Rias yelped as she hit the ground.

"You're getting overly confident again, Lady Rias," Desha said. "Haven’t I taught you better than that?"

Rias quickly got back up, wet and a little dirty. "Sorry, I just can’t wait to have a baby sister!" she exclaimed with a big smile.

Desha returned a small smile. "It’s great that you’re excited about it, but please try to focus, all right?"

Rias looked at her with determination and adjusted her stance. "Right!" They resumed their sparring, and I continued to watch.

"Master Tenshi," Vieta said as she stood beside me. I looked up in surprise and noticed she was holding an umbrella. "I saw you outside without any cover, so I decided to bring you this."

I smiled. "Thanks, V." Vieta sat down with me, holding the umbrella over us. Oh, so giving me some company? That’s nice of her.

As we both watched the training session, she asked, "If you don’t mind me asking, why have you been acting strangely these past few days? You haven’t done much and often seem to zone out, which concerns me a little."

"Aw, you're checking on how I’m doing mentally? Really?" I replied with a smile.

She blushed and glanced at me sideways. "As your personal maid and… friend, of course I’d be concerned; there's no need to think of it differently."

I chuckled, scratching my head. "Heh, sorry. I’ve just been feeling on edge ever since that thing appeared in the sky," I said as I glanced over at Vieta.

She would turn her head to face me. "The magical circle? Lord Terits said it shouldn't be anything to worry about, right? So what’s the point of worrying?"

"You’re right; I shouldn’t be worried. There are a lot of strange things in a world like this that I still need to get used to… B-Because it’s that I grew up mostly indoors and thought many of the stories my parents read to me were just myths." I nervously chuckled, trying not to give any hints I was a reincarnation from another world.

She would look back at them sparring. "I suppose that makes sense. I’m sure it will go away soon anyway," She said as she looked up at it.

I would also look up at the massive magical circle. "Probably." But yeah, she is right. The more I worry, the less fun I’ll have in life… but is it just me? Because I swear, it’s doing something a little… weird.

***

Seven months would go by, and it was snowing. would currently be in the same solar room Terits would be in as we played chess in the morning. We were currently chatting as we played, and I heard something interesting he mentioned that made me start to understand the Trius family much more.

Apparently, our family was split into different houses. I was Tenshi Crieta Trius, but since Taren left his family, we don’t have the name Crieta anymore. There are apparently more houses, but all I knew was the Crieta and Yanery because I felt too nervous about getting into that subject.

"Wow, that really is a fact I never knew," I said as I made another move.

"Just imagine if your father never left. You could’ve been a rich noble yourself," Terits would make another move.

"But why would he leave? I mean, he could’ve been the head of the family, and we all could’ve lived an even better life than we already have."

"We all had another sibling besides me and Talinae. The favorite child, and he was the most hated. I didn’t really care much about it, nor was I against anything. I was just a simple little boy minding his own business. I barely remember much, so I suggest asking him what it was all about, but I have high doubt he’ll tell you to." Terits would make another move.

I would look at him with a bit of surprise, then look back down at the chessboard. "Damn, that sucks…" I murmur. Behind his cocky and stupid grins are probably sadness. I mean, I have a feeling since I went from hiding my emotions to not hiding it at all, but the man has me, two wives, and two other kids, so I’m sure he’s fine. I would make another move.

"But… what if I told you that you could get what you want? I can make that wish come true," he said with a smirk as he made another move.

I looked up at him, confused. "Huh?"

He then returned to a normal smile. "Never mind," he said, looking back at the board. "It seems like I’m winning. Try to focus more."

"O-Oh, right," I replied, making my next move.

***

I was back in Rias’s room. Just as always, she would currently be working on some work I gave her, but Desha was also not here since she had some errands to attend to. Vieta would randomly yawn as she was also here beside me, as she was now sitting.

I looked at her and said, "You know, I don’t mind if you leave or take a small rest if you're tired."

She looked over at me and responded, "There's nothing better to do than cleaning, which the other maids have handled, and I already cleaned your room up."

"Well, if you say so." I looked back at Rias working.

Rias would aim her eyes up at us. She would set her pencil down, look directly at me, and say, "Why does she always have to be here with you? I mean, you almost never ask her for anything."

I looked back at her as she spoke. "Well, she’s just a nice guest to keep us company. There is no need to be so off about it."

She would glare at Vieta and back at me. "Yeah, well, it's just weird."

Jeez, someone's jealous. "Look, Rias—"

"Let Master Tenshi make whatever decision he wants. There’s no need for so many questions," Vieta interrupted, her expression kept casual. I was surprised to hear her speak back to Rias like that.

"…Are you telling me to be quiet?" Rias asked, anger seeping into her voice.

"No, I’m saying this shouldn’t be a problem. Besides, I keep things calm, while you can be a bit of trouble."

Rias’s eye twitched. She slammed her hands on the table, causing me to jump back slightly. "Aha! So, really?! I’m the problem?! At least I gave him a gift he wanted that I bought with my own money instead of just crafting something he could’ve done himself!"

"And your gift backfired and made the situation worse. You can’t just buy someone a gift and be the first one to use it. How about you tell us what happened that day after you drank that substance?"

Rias blushed but was also visibly angry. "All right, shut up…" she muttered as she stood up from her chair.

"Whoa, whoa, ladies, please calm down!" I exclaimed. Since when did Vieta get this confident?! I would nervously smile. "And it’s my birthday tomorrow, so why don’t we take a moment to calm down?" I said with a nervous chuckle. They both looked at me in surprise. "Huh, what?"

Vieta let out a disappointed sigh as she turned to Rias. "Lady Rias, didn’t you say it was in four more days?"

Rias quickly glanced back at Vieta. "I-It is!" Then she looked back at me. "Tenshi, you said your birthday was in a few days!"

"Yeah, a few as in two to five days," I responded.

Rias turned back to Vieta again. "See! Two to five days, so four days count as a few, right?" Vieta’s eye twitched as she stared at Rias, while I maintained a poker face. "What???"

I would grab a notebook out of my pocket and a pencil and start to write. Note to self… teach Rias… what a couple and a few are, etc, I said to myself as I wrote that down.

***

Many hours passed, and night fell. I had a whole stack of paper drawn paintings on my desk that at least had ten paintings.

As I peacefully slept, I drooled and murmured, "Master..." In the distance, I could hear a series of moaning and screaming.

As the screams echoed in my mind, I felt a flush as I began to have a wet dream, and when I turned over in my sleep, I fell off the bed with a startled yelp, "Whoa!" As I was on the ground, I groaned, "Ah… ah…" I slowly got up and sat on the bed.

I wiped my lips and noticed the drool. And I was just having a good dream about my gorgeous master… I would have a small, perverted chuckle. I looked to my right and noticed the time was currently one a.m.

I looked over to my left at the wall where the screaming led far behind it. Is someone really going that hard at it right now? Damn, the amount of energy this late at night is crazy.

I would take a deep breath and make a small cough. I would look up at the door as I heard a knock behind it. I sighed and got up. As I walked to the door, I opened it and noticed Vieta carrying a lantern behind the door.

"I apologize for waking you all of a sudden, Master Tenshi," she said.

I would look at her with a tired face and say, "Oh, hi. Who the hell is having sex right now?" That… was a little straightforward… "I mean— eh, erm, uh, what's the screaming all about?" I quickly corrected it.

"Well, you see… Lady Salina is currently giving birth, and I came here to ask you if I could stay for the night since my room is too close to Lady Salina’s and Lord Terits’s room. I don’t expect this to end anytime soon, and I also feel uncomfortable being close after getting close and seeing how horrendous it looked."

I would look at her with surprise. "Wait, already?" Well, damn. How awesome is that? The kid and I are going to have the same birthday. I smiled at the thought. "Oh, and yeah, do whatever you want. I just want to sleep anyway. I’m guessing there aren’t any worries—wait, you saw?!"

She would look at me with a pouty expression. "Master Tenshi, may I please just sleep here for the night?"

I chuckled. "Okay, okay, sorry. Sure, you can come in."

"Thank you." She would walk past me as I closed the door.

I would have a perverted grin. But holy crap, I get to sleep with Vieta again, but too bad, so sad, she probably won’t let me touch her, so what's the fun in that? I sighed as she got comfortable on the bed. "Just a normal cutie in my bed that’s just my friend… Hold yourself, Tenshi…" I whispered.

I walked over to the bed, but instead of a soft knock, I heard a loud bang behind my door. Both Vieta and I glanced toward it, and I made my way to the door. As I opened it, I noticed Rias standing there with tears in her eyes. "Let me guess. You saw where babies come out from," I said.

She nodded, sniffling. "Can I please sleep in your room?" She asked.

I looked back at Vieta, and she would sigh but then shrug her shoulders. I looked back at Rias and said, "Just don’t argue with Vieta randomly."

"I won’t." She continued to sniffle.

Two girls with me and one bed, heh.

***

It was the next day, early in the afternoon. Outside, the whole city was covered in snow. The great hall was filled with people who had gathered to celebrate the birth of the new child, the second child of Salina and Terits. Terits was currently standing beside Talinae as Salina was sitting on a rolling chair in the back.

"Attention, everyone!" Talinae called out as she held a baby in her arms, who was likely the child. The crowd turned to look at her. "Thank you all for joining us in celebrating the newest member of our family, Talia Yanery Trius! The baptism will begin soon, but for now, we hope you enjoy the delicious food prepared by our wonderful chefs! Thank you."

While that was all happening, back in my room, I would slowly start waking up. I would sit up on my bed, and Vieta and Rias would no longer be in my room. I would rub my eyes. God, that was the most ass sleep I ever had in my whole life. I said to myself as I yawned. I would get up and go to my closet to put on my green lace-up vest.

I would push my messy hair a little down so it would look a little better, and as I finished, I would walk out of the room and notice something off. "Huh…? Where the hell is everyone?"

I would walk out of the room to look around and still notice no one around. "What the hell? There is seriously just no one around— OH NO." Of course there's no one around; there's a revel happening for the baby! I would quickly start running. "Oh wait, I’m not dressed correctly. You know what, screw it, not a problem."

***

A couple of minutes passed, and I finally made it to the great hall when I bumped into someone. "Whoops, sorry!" I quickly exclaimed. The person turned to look at me, and I realized it was Molly. "Oh, Molly! How ya doin' bud?" I said, pointing at her with a wink while my thumb was held up.

She recognized me just as quickly. "Oh, Tenshi! It’s been a while. I knew someone was missing!"

I patted her on the shoulder. "Ah, how wonderful that you are starting to remember my name," I said with a smile. I stopped. "So, tell me, what did I miss? Wait, wait, this is a party for the new child, right?"

She nodded. "Lady Talinae said that Lady Talia will be baptized by one of the priests soon." Then she whispered, "But don’t tell anyone that I’m just here for the free food."

I patted her on the shoulder again. "I won’t tell a soul, and I feel you on that. Wait, Talia?"

"That’s the name of the new child of Lord Terits and Lady Salina," Vieta said as she appeared.

I looked over at her. "Huh, doesn’t sound much like a noble name, but whatever. Not that I care about the name. By the way, good afternoon, Vieta; I forgot this was happening."

She scratched the side of her head. "Yeah, I apologize for not waking you up, Master Tenshi. I decided to let you rest after waking you up so early yeasterday. I hope it wasn’t a mistake," she said while feeling a bit guilty.

I crossed my arms in an X shape. "Slept like crap but could’ve slept crappier." I put my arms down and smiled at her. "So, thanks for that; I’d rather not nod off repeatedly during this." She smiled.

Molly looked over and saw one of the maids carrying plates of meat. She looked at it with excitement. "Finally!" She quickly ran over to get some of the food.

Vieta and I watched her run off and we would look back at each other with a giggle.

"Tenshi! Tenshi! Look!" Rias exclaimed excitedly as she ran up to me, holding a baby in her arms. She lifted it up for me to see as the baby would have blue eyes. "Isn’t my baby sister pretty?!"

I chuckled. "Careful, Rias. You might drop Talia or make her cry—" As I looked at the baby, I was taken aback by Talia’s mild expression, which made her look a bit bored. "...That’s one strange-looking baby..."

"What!?" Rias exclaimed, sounding like she wanted to slap me.

Vieta looked at me with disbelief. "Master Tenshi, how could you say that about young Lady Talia?"

Realizing how harsh my words sounded, I quickly tried to correct myself. "W-Wait, not like that! It’s just that I've never seen a baby act like this, but don’t get me wrong—she’s a pretty one."

"Hmph, good, don’t disrespect her, or I’ll kill you," she said with a threatening glare. She carried the baby in her arms, looking down with a smile. "You’re pretty, Talia, no matter what," she said. Talia rolled her eyes at the compliment.

I noticed her reaction and glanced at Rias and Vieta, who both smiled and seemed unfazed. "You guys seriously aren’t caught off guard by the… never mind."

"Rias!" Talinae called out. Rias turned to look back. "It’s time to bring her back!"

"Aww… okay…" Rias replied with a hint of disappointment as she walked back to Talinae.

I turned to Vieta. "I’m just going to grab some food, alright?"

Vieta nodded in response. "Okay."

***

A couple of hours went by, and I was currently sitting at a table with an empty plate with some crumbs of food on it. The baptizing was happening, and I zoned out as I was thinking about the magical circle and how I reacted it when I tried to touch ’The False’ book.

The priest would be holding Talia over a golden bowl as he had some holy water next to him and said, "With this sacred water, blessed by the grace of Goddess Marisa, I consecrate you, Talia Yanery Trius, in Her name."

I woke up from my zone-out as the priest started to sprinkle the holy water on Talia’s forehead. Man… I need to chill for a moment. Why can’t I stop getting on edge?

The priest would the put his hand over her forehead, and it would glow. "May Her wisdom guide you, may Her warmth shelter you, and may Her light shine upon your path until the end of days. Rise now, child of light, and be known before the heavens. In Marisa’s name, so shall it be." He would put his hand back down.

Everyone would clap as it was now over.

I sighed with relief. "Finally, it’s over…" I murmured.

The priest would look back at Terits and give him back Talia. "Raise her well in the sight of Marisa as well as Lady Rias."

He would grab Talia. "Of course, Father," Terits responded.

I stretched my arms as I got up from the chair. Desha walked over to me and said, "Hey, kid."

I looked up at her. "Yeah? What's up?" I asked.

"Is it all right if you come with me for a moment? The party is about to end anyway, and I wanted to discuss a few things with you."

I looked at her, confused. "What is it?"

"Uh, well..." She scratched her head as she pondered. "Oh right, how about I teach you more of the demi-human tongue? I’ve noticed you’ve been getting more interested in demon so why not?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Wait, but why right now? I mean, you could help, but why not teach me right after the party?"

"I think you should go with her, Master Tenshi. We’re all going to clean up anyway," Vieta said.

I turned to her, and Rias, who was also beside her, added, "Yeah, I’m just going to see my little sister again right now."

I looked back at the crowd and noticed only a few people leaving. Then I turned back to Desha. "All right then, if that’s the case, sure. I guess I have been falling behind a bit."

***

Half an hour had passed, and Desha and I were sitting at my desk. I had my notebook open, specifically to learn the demi-human language. I went through the book that translates demi-human words to human.

"Okay, so it’s pronounced Sareh?" I asked.

Desha shook her head. "It's more pronounced like Sarreh. I understand how it can be confusing since there’s only one 'R.'"

"Sa-rreh. Sarreh," I corrected myself. Hm, sounds Spanish.

She nodded. "Good. And hey, you really have to tell me your secret on learning both demi-human and demon perfectly in just a year."

I looked up at her with a light chuckle. "Well, I guess beginner's luck has been usual for me, but besides that, I guess I just had a lot of encouragement." I looked over Desha as I heard someone knock behind the door. "Come I—"

"Come in!" Desha interrupted.

I looked at her with a poker face. Okay, I make the room rules in here, lady. The person who came into the room was a maid.

She looked over at Desha and nodded. "It’s ready," she said.

I looked at her with confusion from her random two words till Desha got up from the chair, looked down at me, and said, "All right, Tenshin, let's get going. Follow me."

I tilted my head as I looked up at her. "Huh?"

***

A few minutes went by, and as I got led to the great hall by Desha, I looked in front of myself to see a whole group of people still there, and they all shouted, "Happy tenth birthday, Tenhin Trius!"

I would look at everyone with confusion. "...Huh?"

Rias ran up to me and said, "Come on, silly, it’s your birthday, remember?"

"We didn’t get it wrong again, did we?" Vieta asked as she stood beside me.

"N-No, I just wasn’t…" I looked around at the crowd of people; some from earlier weren’t there, but there were still many. I turned slightly to face both Vieta and Rias with a smile. "Thank you so much, you guys." Both Vieta and Rias smiled back at me.

Rias said, "And we have a couple of surprises for you, including one that I think you’ll like the most."

"Like the most…?" My eyes widened in realization. "Wait, my family is here now, right?! Oh, let me guess—they're hiding somewhere, waiting for you to give the signal for them to come out?"

Rias began to feel a little guilty, hoping I wouldn’t say that. "R-Right, your family… Well, you see, your father wrote back and said they are a little too busy to come, so no…" Vieta scratched the side of her head and looked away.

I would have a light chuckle as I looked down. "Oh, right, I thought they…" I would try to hold in tears, take a deep breath, and smile. "It’s fine. I'm still happy I’m having a party either way, right?" I would clear my throat.

Rias would look at me with a hint of concern. "You sure you’re still happy?"

"Rias, Rias, look, let’s all enjoy the party, all right? No bad vibes, and let's all just have fun," I said with a convincing wink and thumbs-up.

Rias smiled back. "Okay then, let's enjoy the party and then the gifts!"

Salina would look over at me in the back with a hint of guilt on her face.

***

An hour went by, and we all continued to enjoy the party. I was currently met with Molly as she was enjoying herself some wine, and she was only a little drunk.

"I didn’t know it was your birthday; congrats to you, Tenshi," she said with a smile.

"Thanks! I wasn’t expecting this at all either; I thought you’d leave the party after Talia’s baptism." I took a sip of wine myself.

"What? Come on, we’re buddies now, aren’t we? Oh, and don’t worry, I got the perfect gift myself; it would be a crime if I didn’t after that awesome painting you drew."

I looked confused. "Painting?" I remembered. "Ohhh right, forgot about that, but wow, you remember that?"

She nodded. "Mhm, still got it! Oh, and by the way, I realized you have the same birthday as Lady Talia. That’s so cool!"

I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess I do."

"Excuse me," someone said. I looked to my left and noticed it was Salina, and she was a little drunk, with a maid beside her so she wouldn’t push herself too hard.

I looked up at her, feeling nervous. Oh crap, doesn’t she hate me?! All right, just treat her with respect and act cool. I cleared my throat. "U-Uh, hi Lady Salina, i-it’s nice to finally m-meet you in person." Oh crap, that was terrible!

She looked directly at me but put on a small smile. "I’ll take it you’re Taren Trius’s child, correct?"

"Uh… yeah." I nervously chuckled.

"And I’ll take it that scoundrel left you here to tutor my daughter, but why, if you don’t mind me asking?"

"W-Well uh… See, I want to go to the Seria University of Sword and Magic one day to further my education as a mage, really nothing more," I said nervously, feeling like I did something wrong even though I knew I didn’t.

"...I see, so there was nothing more to it? No ulterior motives with my daughter to begin with?"

Well, kind of, but not really. I would calm down and look directly at her with a calm face. "No, just one thing and one thing only, Lady Salina."

"Hm, so then… I have an offer for you."

I tilted my head. "What is it?"

"How would you like to marry my daughter Rias?"

I would look at her with complete shock; even Molly would as she almost spat out the wine. I blushed. "Wow, wow, wait! Marry?! Hang on, that’s—" Before I could continue to speak, Rias would come up.

Rias would look at us and ask, "Huh, what’s going on?" She would look over at me. "Also, Tenshi, it’s time for gifts."

I would look directly at Rias. "AH! YAYOYA, RIAS, IT’S—"

"Oh, hello darling, me and your cousin were talking about something, and I’d say we have come to an agreement," she said with a smile as she interrupted.

"Huh?" she asked with confusion as she looked up at Salina.

NO, NO, SHUT UP! DON’T SAY IT! WAIT, WHY CAN’T I TALK?! STOP, STOP! I was too nervous and embarrassed to speak, so all my thoughts remained unvoiced.

"I think you should marry Tenshi and make him your husband! Wouldn't that be wonderful? I trust this boy, and I believe he would be perfect!" she exclaimed, her voice loud enough for almost everyone to hear, even Vieta in the back looked shocked.

Rias turned to her, astonished and embarrassed. "Tenshi?! Husband?! Mother, no, why are you saying that?!"

Salina would pull me close that my face was between her breasts which was not intended. "Oh, and why is that? Don’t you understand that Tenshi is your true partner? If you don’t take him, what if no one else will?"

"Mother, you're crazy! I can’t just marry him!" Rias’s face went red from how flushed she was.

"Oh, so what? He’s intelligent enough to be worthy of you as his bride. Listen, young lady, you will take him as your husband, understand?"

As Salina and Rias argued, Terits looked over at the door and snapped his fingers as he exclaimed, "Guards! Please go take her to her room." The guards went over to Salina and grabbed her by the arms.

She would look at them as she was taken back. "What are you doing, you fools! That boy must become her husband! Let go of me!" she exclaimed as she was being drafted to the door.

Terits would watch as Salina was taken away. "Honey, you're overly drunk; go take a break."

"No, please! That boy and her are—" The doors would be shut as she was dragged out.

"Such a hassle to deal with," Talinae said and would take a sip of her wine.

I would sit back down with a sigh as I felt my soul escape me, even though it didn’t actually. "Thank God…" Rias would continue to look flustered, but as she looked up at me, she grabbed me by the shirt as I yelped, "Ah!"

"What was that about?!" she said as she threatened me with a fist.

"Rias! Rias! That was nothing, I promise! Just please put me down; she was just drunk, okay? I promise, please!"

"Y-Yeah, that just happened out of the blue," Molly said. "No need for violence." She nervously chuckled.

Rias would take a deep breath and let go of me as I fell back on the chair. Jesus Christ, this was so intense.

Rias would clear her throat. "Well, we all forget that, and there is only the answer of anything to do with yes." She smirked. "All right, time for the gifts! But since no one else has anything because no one knew it was your birthday, it’s gonna take a bit for us to get it."

"Wait, no! I have a gift!" Molly exclaimed.

"Yeah, she has a gift," I said. I looked back at her. "Wait, if nobody knew, how did you know?"

Molly looked back at me. "I heard Lady Rias say it so many times, so I just had to quickly get something."

"Guess that makes sense on why you ran out," Vieta said as she was a bit behind Rias. "All right then, so how about me and Charles get it out, and Molly can gift whatever she has first."

"Sounds like a plan," I said as I gave a thumbs-up.

***

A couple of minutes went by, and many people had left, but there were still a few. I stood up as Molly handed me a wrapped sack and said, "Here, I have a feeling you may not like it, but hopefully."

I would take off the rope that was covering it, and as I opened it, I took out a ukulele. "Oh, a ukulele." I would move the strings and smile. I looked back at Molly. "Nah, it’s good. I used to play guitar a bit back then, so this is good."

"Gee-tar…?" she said with confusion as she tilted her head.

"Nothing, never mind. It’s good, Molly. Thanks a lot." I would set it down on the chair.

Molly smile. "Nice! And it’s not that difficult to learn, so there shouldn’t be much of a problem. Now you can enjoy yourself and play it whenever you feel like it; just don’t think you’ll ever get up to me."

I chuckled. "Don’t worry, I don’t really want competition with a pro like you anyway."

"Tenshi! It’s time for the next," Rias said as Charles was behind her. He also held something long in his arms that looked between four and five feet tall. Vieta was also beside him.

As I looked at the cloth-wrapped item, I had a good guess of what it could be. Wait a minute, is that actually a…

"All right, Charles, go ahead and give it to him," Rias said with an excited grin

"Of course," Charles said as he walked over. He handed it to me, and as I grabbed it, he said, "Master Tenshin, this was also a gift I helped with on my behalf, but of course, this was mainly done by Lady Rias and Vieta. I helped as a thank you for..." He looked over at Vieta, and so did I. She looked at us both confused.

I smiled and looked back at him, also feeling a tiny bit embarrassed. "Oh yeah, forgot about that. No problem, I guess I thank you for proving me wrong."

Charles smiled back. "Here." He would let go of the gift as I grabbed it.

He backed up, and everyone else waited for me to open it.

I took a deep breath. All right, here goes. I would remove the cloth and notice it was a beautiful staff with a red stone on the top of it, and it did not look cheap; it was beautiful. I looked at it with amazement as the stone reflected me.

"We hired great craftsmen to build a staff perfect for saint-class lightning magicians such as yourself. We hope you enjoy it, and the name of the staff is on the tag hanging on it."

I would grab the tag and look at it as it said: Lightsrophia Light-stro-phia… Shitty name, but either way, this is the best gift ever. and a red mana stone? They seriously went all out on this. I looked up at Vieta and Rias. "You guys seriously gifted me this?"

Vieta nodded with a smile as her cheeks were a bit flushed.

Rias also smiled and nodded as she said, "Of course! Like a saint-class mage? Why wouldn’t you have a staff of your own? That’s just stupid, so of course we had to give you one."

I continued to look at it as I held it. "Expansive, though. All of this for me?"

"The price doesn’t matter, Master Tenshi; you deserve it after everything you have done for us and yourself," Vieta said.

"Mhm," Rias agreed.

I smiled. "You guys really didn’t have to do any of this, but thank you very much. It’s perfect." Rias and Vieta would both smile back.

***

Many hours went by as we continued the party, and as it turned night, Rias, who was fast asleep, was carried by Desha to put her in the bedroom, and the same for Vieta as she was carried by a maid. I was currently sitting on a chair next to Terits.

I would get up and say, "Well, I’m going to bed. Goodnight, Lord Terits."

"Wait," he said. "Come, it isn’t so late; we can chat for a little longer, why not?"

I would look over at him. "Oookay," I said as I sat back down. "I just don’t get what there is to talk about, but if you say so."

It was quiet for a moment until Terits said, "...You know, Talia and Rias aren’t my only children; there were actually three more."

I looked up at him in shock. "Wait, hang on, that came out of nowhere! So Rias actually has more than one sibling? How come she never told me?"

"Because she doesn’t know," he replied. "So let's keep it that way. The two were sent to my cousin since he was much more powerful than me in many ways. Why? Because his wife wasn’t able to have children, so I guess he thought, why not take mine?"

He took a sip of his wine. "The last one was kidnapped during a coup, Unfortunately. He could be dead or alive. Then we had Rias. Salina wasn’t fond of you because you reminded her of Taren, who was extremely perverted, making her think you were the same, especially in relation to Rias. The most obvious reason is that she hates seeing you here, perfectly fine, while Rias's brothers are gone. She despises your freedom, but I guess she has grown a bit attached to you, as we saw."

"Oh jeez, this Rias lore really is something I did not expect." I would take a sip of the wine. "And don’t worry, I won’t tell."

"Good. I hope you understand Salina’s situation, though."

"Oh, no, of course I do. I'm glad it’s all settled, but her asking me to marry Rias was unexpected."

"But she has a point. Think about it." He would take a sip of his wine. "You have such impressive intelligence for a ten-year-old. You have the opportunity to take charge of the family and become an even better noble than I am by the time you grow. I’d say you should accept the offer and marry Rias."

I was taken aback by this.

"But for now, you need to continue to lay low. I will handle the coup and keep your marriage to Rias a secret for the time being once the time comes for you to take the throne. Maybe tonight or tomorrow, I’ll have Rias in your hands on the bed. Will all of that be enough?"

I would continue to look at him with confusion and shock. H-Hang on… is he really serious right now? I mean, having my hands on Rias would be amazing, but taking charge of this household is just too much. I understand that I’m smart, but I don’t think he realizes how clueless I actually am. No, being some sort of government leader is just too much work.

I would get up from the chair and take my staff and ukulele. "I guess you're drunk, Lord Terits. I’m going to bed now."

He chuckled. "Drunk? Maybe, but hey, let's say I’m not. Then how about… think about it." I would look at him as he spoke but turned around and walked away.

"Have a good night, Lord Terits." I would walk away. As I was in the hallways to get to my room, I thought to myself, Being a noble… I mean, the only thing fun about it is the demi-human maids everywhere. Just imagine a harem full of many demi-human maids; I could just do whatever I want to them. I paused for a minute and started to walk back but quickly stopped myself and continued to walk in the direction of my room. No, no, power struggle. Have to remember that.

***

It was the next day, and it was morning. The staff was on the floor near the bed. I slowly open my eyes and notice the ceiling I yawned and stretched my arms. "That was a much better sleep…" I murmured.

I would try to lift myself with my hands, but I would feel something weighing me down. The hell? Has the blanket gotten heavier? "Hmm…" I looked under the blanket and was completely shocked to notice Rias on top of me. ,,,Huah?!

She was just peacefully asleep while hugging me and didn’t move a single inch as I was completely confused and feeling like I was about to panic. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! Rias is in my bed again, but not just that, she is… on me!

I gulped and took a deep breath as I tried to wedge myself out, but I couldn’t Rias fully had me locked with her. Oh God, I’m going to get puuunched. Oh God, pleeease.

I took a deep breath. "All right, just get out…" I whispered as I tried to get myself out, but Rias started grunting and moving a bit. She slowly started to open her eyes. Oh, yup, mission failed! I’m dead! I’m going to see Maria again! I closed my eyes hard as I braced myself for the punch.

Rias looked up at me and asked, "G-Good morning, Tenshi," she said as she looked a little nervous. I continued to close my eyes in fear. She tilted her head. "Why are you acting like that?"

I would open my eyes in surprise. "Wait, you’re not going to punch me? Y-Your on me, so like…"

"Yeah, well… just shut up; it was your birthday, I guess, and I thought you deserved it…" she said while looking away from being shy.

I looked at her as I realized something. Wait a minute… I thought back to the small conversation Terits and I had yesterday night and realized what was happening. Oh, Terits, you son of a bitch.

I looked down at her and noticed her more comfortable clothing; nothing revealing, but it could definitely be taken off easily. Or maybe I do want my chance… I would move my hands over to her thighs, but before I could touch them, I moved them back. No, Calm yourself. I can’t let Terits’s temptation get to me, but… ahh!

Rias would look at me with confusion as I was thinking very hard. "Tenshi…" She murmured. "Just… do whatever you want to me, all right?"

"Huh?" I looked directly into her eyes. She still looked a little nervous but had no signs of wanting to punch me. "So then…" I would put my hands on her thighs. She made a small moan as she grabbed my shirt tight. Wait, so she’s… holy crap, I’ve reached a popular phase! holy shit! Okay, Terits, you win!

I would go around her neck and start to suck her neck, but then she reached her breaking point and quickly jumped away. "Stop!" She shouted.

Since I was still grabbing her, I was pulled and fell to the ground as I yelped, "Ah!" As I quickly got up, she punched me directly in the face and knee-kicked my stomach as I spat out and said, "Gah!"

She lifted her leg back and I looked down at it with worry as I felt like I knew what it was going to hit. OH NO, NOT THERE— "Gah!" I yelped as she kicked me directly where my two human bells were and punched me again directly in the face. This was not the bedtime sparring I thought of… I said to myself as I grabbed my crotch in pain.

Rias quickly ran off, and I was now the only one in the room.

A couple of minutes later, Vieta came into the room with a plate of food in her hands as she said, "Master Tenshi, breakfast is ready—" She quickly noticed me on the ground. "Oh my, Master Tenshi!" She quickly put the food on my desk and ran over to me. "Are you all right?"

***

A couple more minutes went by, and I was sitting on the ground as I laid my back on the bed while Vieta used healing magic on my crotch without touching it.

I looked down at the ground, feeling guilty. …What the hell was I thinking? Nothing, and no matter what, nothing will play out how I want it to. It’s not just about that, but the fact I almost fell into Terits’s trap. God, I’m the worst; no wonder why Camila left me.

I looked over at the staff on the ground. "Vieta." Vieta looked up at me as she continued to heal me. "I’m sorry. I’m sorry for not being someone who lives up to all your standards. I can be a freak, and I know that, and I’m sorry. In reality, I’m pathetic. I’m more of a failure than you think, even if you don’t see that. I’m sorry."

Vieta looked at me with concern and confusion as she stopped using healing magic. "I don’t get it. Where is all of this coming from? Tenshi, you’re amazing. I really don’t see any flaws in you that are unforgivable. You’re great and have done a lot for Lady Rias, Miss Desha, and me. What even happened?"

I would continue to look down. …She’s wrong, but the fact she can see that… It just feels like I can’t bring myself to apologize to Rias, but then… I just… ugh, why am I so pathetic right now? "I’m fine, V. I just want some alone time, if you don’t mind."

Vieta continued to look at me with concern, but she would get up. "...All right, Master Tenshi." She would walk away from the room.

I would continue to look down and think to myself for a minute, and I would then hear the door slowly swing open I looked over at it and noticed it was Rias slowly walking in.

"...Hi," she said as she had her hands behind her and also looked down at the ground as she felt embarrassed. I quickly got up and bowed my head as I held both my hands up in a begging or praying manner.

"Please, Rias! I’m sorry for what I did; it was really stupid of me, all right?!" She took her eyes off the ground and looked at me as I spoke.

She said, "Okay, okay, I get it; just stop bowing like that; it’s weird." I quickly lifted my hand up and stood straight as I looked directly at her, ready to hear her out. "Look, I’m sorry that I lied, I guess I’m just a bit hungry, too. But how about this… just give me time to think, and maybe, just maybe, we can do it, or even when we are adults, all right? You have to be one too, though, and then we can… do what you want."

I looked at her with surprise. Wait, huh?!

She would twirl her hair with her finger as she looked away."And I promise this time…" She quickly looked back at me. "So just hold yourself and not be so much of a pervert for now; it’s not that hard, all right?"

I would currently be processing everything she had just said, but I quickly shook my head and responded, "Yes, ma’am! I understand! No touching or spying on you for a few years," I said as I nodded.

"Good…" Rias and I looked at each other for a few seconds until she looked over at my plate of food. She grabbed it and walked away.

"Huh? H-Hey, you can’t…" I sighed. Ugh, never mind, I guess I deserve it anyway. I would smile. "But it’s actually confirmed… I’m going to bang Rias one day, baby! Oh yeah!" I exclaimed as I cheered and walked around the room. To think today would be terrible, but no, I just had the news of a lifetime.

"Just a couple years and me and Rias get to—"

"You and Lady Rias get to what?" Vieta asked with a casual facial expression as she was right in front of the door, just looking at me.

"Ah!" I yelped as I quickly stopped myself. "Oh, uh, Vieta… Uh…"

Vieta looked over to my desk and everywhere else as she noticed my plate of food missing. "Tenshi, what happened to the breakfast I sent you?"

"Uhh…" I wouldn’t speak any further and look away from being nervous.

Vieta sighed as I took too long to answer, and she handed me a paper. "Never mind, but this fell on the ground, so I decided to grab it."

I grabbed it, and as I looked at it, I noticed it was the outline painting I drew of Lumi, and I quickly realized something. Wait a minute… Lumi… Oh crap, oh no, I’m stupid…

Vieta tilted her head. "Master Tenshi, what’s wrong?"

I continued to look at the painting with shock. Oh God, the tuition money! How did I forget?! Vieta continued to look at me with confusion at my sudden shock.
