Chapter 3: A Day Out

A day passed, and it was late in the afternoon. I asked Terits about the idea, and he accepted it. I was waiting outside the castle with a thin brown winter jacket on, and I was out the gates on a bench waiting for Desha and Rias.

I took a deep breath and smiled. "Man, they should hurry; I can’t wait to get a look around the city." I held up the pouch I had in my hands. I feel rich; I mean, I can just ask for anything, and they’ll give it, but let's be real, this probably isn’t that much.

I looked over at the gates as I saw the guards out the gates open the door for Rias and Desha I took a deep breath. "All right, Tenshi, calm down; just don’t piss her off again." I walked up to them as they got out of the gates, and the guards would close them again. "Hi, Desha," I said as I looked up at Desha. I looked down at Rias. "And Lady Rias—"

Rias would give me a menacing stare as she growled. I gulped and scratched my head. "So, I guess we are all ready?" I said to both of them as I had a nervous smile.

Desha nodded. "Yup, all good," she said.

"Great," I turned around and looked ahead. "Now, let's get going!" I exclaimed as I pointed forward.

***

A few minutes went by, and we were walking around the city and getting closer to an area with a lot of stands. I looked at the design of most houses and shops around me and also the massive wall, which was pretty far but still visible in front. "Wow, this city really is amazing; it's just a little smaller than I thought, but other than that, just wow."

"Of course it is. You’re walking in the city of Celine, after all," Desha said with a smile as she took in the view as well.

Rias was just there with her arms crossed as she looked like she didn’t want to be there.

Little risky to be next to Rias, I said to myself. But if Desha was in the middle, it would be harder to bond with her. All right, time to get to talking. I looked over at Rias with a nervous smile. "So, Lady Rias, I was thinking you could introduce yourself a little more. I’m not sure if Terits told you, but we are actually cousins."

Rias looked over at me with confusion in her eyes. "You're my cousin?" she asked. I nodded. "...Hmph," she huffed as she looked away.

I would be shocked to see her reaction: What the hell was that reaction!? "If you don’t believe me, you could ask your father."

"Oh, I believe you, just…" She looked at me as she said, "I just don’t know what to say, alright? My young cousin tutoring me? It just sounds… weird."

Desha would say, "What she is saying is that it’s humiliating someone younger than her looks and acts above her."

Rias looked up at Desha. "That’s not what I said!"

"Oh, sorry, Lady Rias," Desha said as she looked down at Rias. She looked back ahead of herself.

Rias also looked back ahead of herself with her arms crossed, embarrassed.

I looked at Desha as I heard what she said, and I looked back at Rias. Huh, I guess that makes sense. I remember I was teased about how a thirteen-year-old was smarter than me when I was twenty. It really got on my nerves when he corrected me that day. I smiled. "Well, if it makes you feel better, you probably have more potential to go above me if you tried. Have you ever thought of that? I’m just saying, if you let me teach you, you would most definitely surpass me."

Rias would scratch the side of her head as she looked away. "I’ll think about it. It’s just so frustrating."

"Well yeah, maybe your tutors just sucked."

Rias instantly looked back at me as she said, "That's exactly what I said!" She would look back ahead. "But Father keeps getting me all the boring and dumb ones either way."

Yesss, making progress... "Hey, well, don’t sweat it; I know exactly what to do to make it fun. Just leave that up to me," I said while giving a thumbs-up.

She scoffed. "Yeah, well, you better."

As we finished talking, we found ourselves wandering among the various stands. "Sweet, now it's time to start finding. But just in case anything else catches my interest," I said as I pulled out a notepad and pencil.

"What are you going to buy?" Rias asked.

I turned back to Rias and replied, "I'm going to buy myself a wand. My parents left mine at home, so I need to pick up a kit."

Rias raised an eyebrow. "Couldn't you just ask Father or a maid to get one for you?"

I anticipated that response. "See, Rias, you can’t always rely on others to do your errands. Sometimes, you have to take care of things yourself. Plus, we get to enjoy being outside, right?"

"Balcony," she said flatly.

I felt a twinge of annoyance. Is she seriously not getting the point? "Okay, how about this? You and Desha can look around and see if there's anything you like." I looked up at Desha. "I assume you carry coins?"

"I never carry coins," Desha admitted.

I looked back down at Rias. "Then come find me and ask me to buy whatever it is."

"Fine," Rias would say to me. She started to walk away. "Come on, Desha." Desha followed her.

I watched as Rias and Desha walked off to explore the stands. "I swear if I see Rias back at the castle…" I muttered to myself as I scanned the stands. "All right, wand kit…" I began to walk around the city in search of the kit, but what I mainly found was food or jewelry being sold.

"Dang it, nothing." I looked down as my stomach growled. I looked back ahead of myself. "I can wait. Maybe I should ask some people around—" Before I could finish, I bumped into a girl. "Oh, sorry," I said to the woman who seemed to be a demi-human of some sort; she had these demi-human ears similar to a cat and also had a thick tail that was black like her hair.

She turned around and noticed me as I took a look at her red eyes. Wow, she's… cute.

"Oh, sorry about that," she said with this soft tone. "That's on me for standing in the middle of a crowd."

"No, no, it's all good," I reassured her. "Hey, do you happen to know a stand or shop that sells any wand kits?"

She pondered and pointed behind me to my right. "I think I saw one a few stands back there earlier, the one with the blue little roof thingy, whatever you call it."

I looked back to where she pointed, and I looked back at her. "Sweet, thank you very much." I would run off to get to the stand.

She sighed with relief and continued walking.

As I got to the other side of the stands, I looked around to see if the one I was looking for was there, and from what most of the stands were selling, I started to feel like I was getting close.

"So far so good. Most of these places are selling mage coats or other weapon equipment." I then noticed a stand with opened boxes selling wand kits. "There!" I ran over to the stand, where I saw the boxes had these different wand handle designs, but none had stones in them. Huh, no mana stones? I swear, one time I visited the village in Leafale, the kits already had stones in them. I looked up at the shopkeeper. "Excuse me, do you sell mana stones?"

The shopkeeper nodded and bent down to grab this board full of mana stones in different colors.

I looked down at them. "Oh, now that’s the good stuff." If the book is correct, these mana stones have small differences. Larah gave me the blue one for my first wand, so I think I should go with… I looked up at the shopkeeper. "I’ll take one blue stone and..." I grabbed one of the kits and placed it down in front of him. "This too."

The shopkeeper said, "That will be nine Dalria silver."

I looked through the pouch in my hand and had a look of realization. Wait a minute… I should probably learn more about this world’s currency now that I think about it, but without a doubt, I know what he’s talking about since I have that. I took out nine silver coins in my hand and placed them down. "Is that enough?"

He nodded and took the coins as I set them in front of him.

***

A couple of minutes went by, and I was walking with the box in my arms, which was the wand kit, I also placed the stone in there, but I was also walking in a different direction instead of the castle. "Ahh, this is sweet; just went shopping for the first time in this world."

I would start looking a bit embarrassed. "Oh god, I just realized I’ve been sounding like a mom and some teenage girl ever since we went out." I exited the area with all the stands. "But I wonder where Rias and Desha are at; if I were to guess, they probably went back to the castle," I said with a poker face.

As I got to the middle of the city, which was the massive fountain, I then spotted two familiar figures which seemed to have been Rias and Desha.

"Huh, well, guess I was wrong." I would walk closer and notice someone in front of them.

As I got closer, I began to hear the voice of a cute-sounding girl over there who was singing and playing a ukulele. She was singing a beautiful and soothing type of song.

Who the hell is even over there? I questioned as she sang.

She continued to sing for half a minute.

As she sang, I walked next to Desha. "A songstress?" I said as she sang.

Desha nodded. "Yup," Desha said as I looked up at her. "This is the first time Rias is seeing her," Desha said as Rias looked at the songstress with amazement. "This girl comes here almost every day to sing. No clue why, but this is my first time listening to the whole thing myself."

I looked back at the songstress. "Huh, interesting." And short.

I looked down and noticed a rock on the bottom of my foot. "Stupid rock,"

As she continued singing for another few seconds, I would kick the rock, and it would hit her forehead. She yelped, "Ah!"

Iw ould look at her with shock and embarrassment. "O-Oops, sorry!" I exclaimed with worry.

Rias would look over me with some frustration in her face and she would walk over to me.

I looked over at her. "Yeah, Rias?—" She slapped me across the face. "Ow." Yeah, I deserved that one, I said to myself as I rubbed my cheek.

The songstress would put the ukulele on her back. "No, no, it’s fine. I’m sure it was a mistake," She said and chuckled.

Rias looked over to her and responded, "But he hurt you."

I side-eye her. So now violence is okay? I fully turned my head to Rias. "Wait, wait, Rias, let me handle it." I looked over at the girl. "I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to—" Before I could continue speaking, I inspected her from top to bottom. She would have familiar orange hair and blue eyes and also be about my height. "Wait a minute…" I whispered.

"Huh, is something wrong?" She asked.

I continued to stare at her and said, "Wait, you wouldn’t have happened to be from Leafale, would you?"

She tilted her head "Leafale village?" she stopped tilting her head. "Yeah, I was there for a year or two. Why?"

I snapped my fingers and pointed at her. "No way! You're the same songstress from my village that I passed by! It’s nice to see someone from my village—"

Before I could continue, Rias looked at her with pure happiness in her eyes and said, "Could you please come to the castle and sing for me anytime I ask? Please, I'm begging you!" She exclaimed as she kept a full smile on her face.

"Uh, well..." she hesitated at the sudden offer. I exchanged an embarrassed smile with Rias.

Rude much. "Rias, not when someone is already talking," I said and Rias looked back at me with confusion. "And If she doesn’t want to, she doesn’t want to."

"But Tenshi!" Rias protested.

"Ah, ah, ah, no 'buts,' and don’t even bother hitting me again it’s her choice," I replied firmly.

Rias had a pout on her face and made a small pouting noise.

The songstress had a small chuckle as she scratched her cheek. "Well, now I feel honored and flattered that a noble thinks my music is that good. Maybe I could come by on a special occasion for a bit, but no matter what, I’ll forever have my position as a songstress out in the villages,, cities, or anywhere. I don’t just sing because it’s something I’m good at, nor do I really do it for anything in return. I just want to make anyone around me who hears my song happy; it isn’t fun being all moody or depressed, am I right?"

I would side-eye Rias. Great, maybe you could take the tyrant’s offer. I would stare back at the songstress. "That is actually kind of sweet. Maybe if we do take you up on that offer, could we have your name by chance?"

The songstress would point at herself with her thumb. "I’m Molly Salish! Molly Salish, the outside songstress."

"Well, Molly, good luck with giving more people smiles on their faces. We’ll be leaving now," I said with a smile.

"You got it," Molly said as she smiled back.

"Aww," Rias said. "We can’t stay for one more song?" Rias said, looking at me with pleading eyes.

I looked back at Rias. "Rias, the sun is about to go down I think it’s about time we go back."

"I mean," Desha said. "Lord Terits wouldn’t mind that Lady Rias stays for a little longer. As long as she doesn’t leave my sight, then everything should be fine."

"See!" Rias exclaimed.

"Well, okay then," I said, looking at Desha. I looked back at Rias "I didn’t even know that in the first place, but you can enjoy your time out here. I’ll be heading out myself then."

"All right," Desha said.

Rias nodded while keeping her big smile.

"All right, see you two soon." I turned to Molly. "Goodbye, and I apologize again."

"No worries," She said with a smile.

A few minutes later, I was walking back to the castle. "Today seemed fun. Guess I bonded with Rias a little. She might start letting me tutor her now or at least try. Terits is going to be proud."

"Hey! You there," a man called out.

I turned to my left and noticed a small stand right beside me. Looking up at the man, I asked, "Uh, can I help you?"

"You mentioned Lord Terits; I’ll take it you’re a noble?"

"I mean, kind of."

"Listen, do you spend time at the castle or not?"

I scratched my cheek and replied, "I guess, yeah, I do."

The man grinned. "Then I think I have an offer you’ll accept. It's quite a bit of gold." He knelt down to reach for something in his stand.

"Uh, no, I’m not really planning to buy anything; I really don’t—" Before I could finish, the man produced a fancy-looking small box and set it in front of himself.

"Please, just check it out. This is a rare potion, and I know you’ll want to hear more."

I looked down at the box. "Huh, what is it?"

The man began to open the box. "This is a one-of-a-kind potion that came all the way from the Dalria Kingdom. It's meant to, well, spice things up in a relationship if you catch my drift," he said with a smirk.

Ah, so potions do exist, I said to myself, taking a good look at the small closed-up bottle. I quickly looked back up at him as I had an important question. "Wait, is this some love potion to make someone fall in love with you!?" I exclaimed while looking heavily invested in his offer.

"Ehh, kind of more like once you drink it, you become more intimate… more better in bed with somebody. Does that answer your question?"

I stood there thinking and I realized what he meant and gasped. "An aphrodisiac!?"

He snapped his fingers. "That's the word!"

"How much!?" I shouted as I slammed my hands on the table of the stand.

"Two gold and three silver."

I would get the poach out of my pocket, but I would then hear a familiar voice behind me that said, "What are you doing?" I looked back and noticed it was Rias who asked, and Desha was there, too.

I stood there looking at the two in silence. "Nothing," I said with a nervous smile.

Rias would move me aside and look at the bottle curiously, as she didn’t know what I was doing at all. "What is that?"

"Well, miss," the shopkeeper said. "This is a—"

"A nothing! Nothing at all," I said as I pushed Rias aside, but my thumb would accidentally touch her nipples. "Eh?" As we both stood frozen. …Shit! She would punch me to the ground, get on top of me, and start to constantly punch me.

I tried blocking as much as possible. "RIAS, STOP! I DIDN’T MEAN TO!" I shouted with pain and fear.

Desha would look over at the fight, not knowing what to do, and the shopkeeper would too. Desha would look back at the bottle and say to herself, Wait a minute...That bottle. She would look up at the shopkeeper. "I think he’ll take you up on that offer another day." Desha would walk over to me and Rias.

***

A few minutes passed by as we walked back to the castle, drawing closer with each step. I was on Desha's right, and Rias was on her left. "Oww..." I murmured, applying healing magic to my injured face, which was slowly starting to heal. "Thanks again, Desha," I said, glancing over at her.

"Don’t mention it," she replied, looking down at me before shifting her gaze back ahead.

"Hmph," Rias huffed, folding her arms and turning away.

I sighed. Well, so much for the progress that was being made. As my face fully healed up, a shadow would start forming all around us even though the sun was still out.

I stood still. "Huh?" Is there some eclipse happening? I looked up to see this huge, massive, floating piece of rock that was half the size of the city. "WHAT IN THE FLYING MOTHER OF HELL IS THAT?!" I shouted as I pointed up there in fear.

Desha and Rias looked back at me looking all casually. "What do you mean?" Desha asked."

"Don’t give me that ‘What do you mean?’ You know what I mean! That!" I exclaimed as I pointed up to the floating rock.

Desha looked up. "Oh, that?"

"Of course! You're not telling me that's normal, right!?" I exclaimed as I looked at Desha.

Desha would look back down at me. "So… you don’t know anything about it?"

I tilted my head. "...No."

"Are you kidding me?" Rias said.

"Maybe instead of blaming me for not knowing, maybe you both could tell me what it is!"

Desha nodded. "That up there Is the flying castle of the third god. The lightince or light god, Hildros." As the rock started passing by, it was a little more visible to see the castle.

"W-Wait so… up there… is a god???" I asked with shock.

Desha nodded once more.

I looked up with surprise. The guy who I have questions to ask is… up there?

Rias said, "You can’t call yourself smart if you seriously don’t know the eight great gods! Hildros is the third rank, and he saved many during the war against Desratch Kratis!"

"Wait, let me guess. He took control of many and commanded a vast army to take over the world, and many of the older versions of these gods died along the way as Hildros sealed this demon."

Rias nodded.

"You're getting it now," Desha said. We would continue walking. "The man himself is a living legend; many worry if this demon god could come back and we all suffer and burn in this world, but the other many are confident and feel safe in his protection as well as that of most of the other gods. But in my opinion, I don’t think that stupid demon will come back at all."

"Oh, interesting..." I murmured. I looked over at Rias. "Guess you already know good history, at least."

"Heh," Rias let out with a grin.

I looked back up at the floating castle. Hildros… the light god… well, hope one day I could get up there, I have a lot of questions that feel like you could answer. I looked back ahead of myself as we got closer to the gate of the castle.

***

Five hours went by, and it was night. I was currently dreaming about my old life again this memory would be the day after my older brother told me to leave the house I was currently in my messy room, as always, pleasuring myself to a compilation of hentai scenes under the blanket, but I didn’t look fully satisfied. "Come on, why can’t I get hard?"

I would begin to hear someone's footsteps out my door. "Hm?" The door would eventually get kicked open, and it was my brother who came in with a serious face and anger. I would pull my pants up and stand up from the bed. "So was I not clear, dumbass? Told everyone in this house not to come in my room unless I allow it."

He would then pull out a handgun and aim it right at me. "Get out," He said.

I would look at him with shock. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, Are you kidding me!? You can’t do that, I live here!" I exclaimed.

"Shut up. They wanted me to do this if they died. We just wanted to protect you, and now, it's time you learn, so get out," He said as his hand shook while holding the gun.

"You have no idea what the hell I’ve been through. I couldn’t learn; how could you not understand!? Please just give me one more chance—"

As he walked closer to me while I was talking, he punched me right in the face before I could finish my sentence.

***

A minute later he would kick me right out the house into the ran. "Just stay out, you degenerate," He said as he tried to stay calm yet still had a hint of fear in his voice

He would close the door, and I would get back up right as he closed it on me. I banged my fist hard on the door. "Let me in! My stuff is in there!" I waited, but there was no response.

I clenched my fists together and gave up. I looked back behind me, and I noticed something familiar; it was my car. I went up to it. "So he was using it the whole time…" I looked at the hood and noticed the car keys were there.

I grabbed the car keys and went to the back to open the trunk, and I noticed some of my stuff was still there, like light novels and my guitar.

I quickly checked my pockets and realized I still had my wallet with me that had a couple of hundred dollars' worth of money. "Should get through it for a bit then." I closed the trunk, got to the front of the driver’s door of the car, and opened it to get inside. "Come on." I successfully started up the car. "Yes, yes, yes!" I closed the door, backed up the car, and I started to hear the rain stop making noise.

I stopped to turn the gear stick so I could start driving forward. I looked out the window as I noticed the rain stopped making noise. "The fuck?" I looked back ahead of me and noticed everything around the car turned dark.

***

Two hours went by, and I woke up. "Ah!" I exclaimed, and I was back in the castle as Tenshi. I was currently wearing a set of green PJs. I was panting but slowly started to calm down. Phew, just another stupid nightmare. I would get out of bed as I carried the blanket over me and open the door to exit my room. "Good thing that nightmare woke me up, or I would’ve peed myself in bed…" I murmur and then yawn.

***

A few minutes went by, and I was in the bathroom. I got out as I finished doing my business. I would walk through the hall to go back to my room, but I would look over to my right and notice someone on one of the castle balconies. Is that...?

I rubbed my eyes and noticed it was the green-haired maid who first introduced me to my room. What is she doing out here so late? I walked over to the balcony and stood next to her. "Excuse me?"

She turned to look down at me and then shifted her entire body to face me. "Yes, is there anything you need, master?" She asked with her still kept mild facial expression.

"Just Tenshi is fine. Are you assigned to do something this late?" She shook her head. "You should probably get some rest then, don’t you think? I mean, I'm not trying to force you, but I just think it's best."

"I appreciate your concern for me, but I'd rather stay here unless it is a bother."

I gave a small smile. "Don’t worry about it; I don’t mind. I just wanted to see what was going on."

She nodded and turned around to look back into the sky.

I would stay where I’m at as it went silent for a bit. She is one quiet girl. "You don’t mind if I stay for a bit myself, right?"

"...No."

I would look into the sky with her. "So, do you have a name?"

"It’s Vieta...Vieta Rossawy."

"I’m Tenshin Trius, but you can just call me Tenshi."

"Hm," Vieta hummed as she continued to gaze at the sky.

"I live in a place called Leafale Village. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of it, but it’s a beautiful place where my family and I live. You remind me a bit of my old master and a friend from back home."

She turned to look at me. "I do?"

I met her gaze and asked, "Kind of. But why don’t you show much emotion? I hope that doesn’t sound rude; I’m just curious."

Vieta looked back up at the sky. "No, it isn’t rude. I’m just this way, but I’m okay."

"Oh… all right then." I continued to stare up at the starry sky with her for several moments before glancing back at her. "I think I’m going to head back inside now. What about you?"

"I’ll stay just a little longer."

"All right then." I took off the blanket around me and handed it to her. "Here."

Vieta looked at me with a slight surprise on her face. "Why are you giving me your blanket?"

"You said you’d be staying for a few more minutes, right? You might catch a cold. Just take it. I really don’t mind," I said with a reassuring smile.

Vieta considered it for a moment before slowly taking it from my hand. She examined the blanket for a couple of seconds before looking back at me.

"Is something wrong?" I asked from her sudden stare.

Vieta shook her head. "I apologize. Thank you."

I gave her a thumbs-up. "Don’t mention it." I began to walk away. "Goodnight, Vieta."

She nodded back as I left the balcony. Vieta would look back at the blanket for a few seconds and later put it over her as she continued to look up at the sky.

***

A day passed, and it was the afternoon. I was currently training with Desha in the castle courtyard. I had my normal everyday clothing back on and a leather chest plate and leather knee pads, but Desha wore none of that safety stuff.

We were both clashing with each other with swords. "Haa!" I shouted as I continued hitting Desha with the wooden sword I had, and she would also have one. She would continue to block.

"Keep it up, Tenshi, you’re doing great," She said.

"Haa!" I shouted as I went for another hit, but Desha would swipe my sword out of my hand. She would try slashing me, but I dodged. Not again this time! I grabbed the sword as it fell back down.

I would quickly try getting a hit on Desha, but she would block me again with ease. "Dang it…" I muttered.

"I say we should stop here." Desha would back away, and I would hold the sword to my side as I panted. I would make a cup with earth magic and drink water out of it. "Ah…" I whispered with relief after drinking that cup of water.

Desha would walk up to me and say, "You honestly did better than I thought. I really wasn’t expecting you to pick it back up."

I nervously laughed. "My father has beaten me many times, so after finding it annoying, I guess I had to adapt."

Desha had a small chuckle. "You're an interesting one, Tenshin. You know, I’m actually stronger than your father."

I looked surprised. "Really? What class are you?" I asked as I sat on a bench.

"King class."

"Wow, that’s like the third strongest class. I think my master is almost or is up there, but she is a mage."

"Oh right, you’re a mage yourself. I’d like to see how you match up against me with your magic at some point. I don’t intend to train your magic since I’m not a mage myself; I just want to see how strong you truly are."

I gazed down at the cup of water I was holding. "Yeah, maybe." When I looked up at the castle, I noticed Vieta cleaning in one of the windows.

Desha looked at me curiously. "What’s wrong?"

"Who is that maid?"

Desha glanced up at the window I was focused on and spotted Vieta. "That’s Vieta Rossawy. Honestly, I don’t know much about her, but the one who looks after her is Charles, the butler who serves Terits."

I turned back to Desha. "Charles? Looks after her? How old is she?"

Desha returned my gaze. "I’m not exactly sure, but from what I can tell, she’s probably nearing her teens or might already be one. But like I said, I’m not certain."

I looked back up at the window as she left. "Hmm…" My eyes went wide as I realized something. "Oh, crap! Lady Rias! Tutoring!" I ran back into the castle as Desha watched me leave.

***

A few minutes passed by, my armor was off, and Rias was starting to write on a piece of paper with a pencil and we were currently in her room. "This is stupid I thought you would forget…" She muttered, but I would hear it as I sat in front of her.

"Sorry, Rias, but I’m getting paid for this." I looked up at her writing. "That’s a C, not a B."

Rias would clench her fist and growl. "This is so stupid!" She exclaimed as she would slam her fist on the table.

I would start feeling scared as she growled, her aura feeling menacing all over again, and it felt like the same thing she did to me last time would happen again. Come on, they are just letters! I covered myself for protection as I heard her footsteps, meaning she got out of the chair.

They started getting quieter, and I put down my arms as I noticed Rias was gone. I looked around. "Oh, come on!"

***

A few minutes went by, and I would start looking for Rias in the castle. Goddamn it, how am I gonna find her in a place this big? I would eventually come across another demi-human maid. "Excuse me," I asked her as she looked down at me. "Have you seen Lady Rias anywhere?"

The maid nodded. "Just outside in the garden," She said.

"Thank you." I began to run in the halls of the castle.

***

As I went back to the courtyard, I looked around to find her. "Rias! Rias!" I shouted while looking around for her. I would eventually find her lying down on the patch of grass. Aha! Can’t hide from me! "There you are!" I got closer to her and noticed she was sleeping.

I stood there just staring at her as she was asleep. Wow… the only time she doesn’t act like a tsundere is when she is asleep… she really is cute.

I would get closer and decide to shake her. "Rias, it’s time to wake up; you just have a few more hours of class." Rias would answer, and she would be fully asleep

I looked down to see that my hand was on her side, right near her breast. I would blush and have a small smirk. It’s not bad if I have a small feel and she doesn’t notice… yeah, just one small touch… I would start groping her breasts; they were small, but I could feel a slight growth. I can see it in her, just imagining her much older. A hot-looking woman with big thighs and breasts. Oh yeah, this is great.

I would quickly back away and shake my head. Aw, dang it, I need to be a changed man; what am I doing? "Rias, just wake up, for goodness' sake, or I won’t get today’s payment."

Rias would move her head as if she was getting herself comfortable.

You know what… one last feel, but how about...I would start digging my hands under her clothes, but then Rias would slowly start opening her eyes, and I barely made it to her breast.

We both looked at each other in silence, and she would look down to notice where my hands were.

Hey, Tenshi, at least you’re getting a final good feel, even if it is just skin. I quickly tried backing away. "I’M SORRY—" Rias instantly gave me a very strong punch and kicked me right on the stomach and gave one last kick with her other leg on my face, and I flew back. Aww, she just straight-up did a combo! I would be lying on the ground as I had a black eye and a couple of bruises.

Rias would go over to me and have her arms crossed. "Don’t touch me. Hmph," She huffed as she looked away.

And she did the tsundere thing…

A few hours passed by, it turned to night, and it slowly started to rain. Vieta was wandering around the castle, dusting the paintings of people on the walls with a long duster, as she was quite short.

She would pull out a piece of paper with one hand, glance at it for a few seconds, and then put it back in her pocket. After finishing with one painting, Vieta moved on to another one near Rias’s room.

After dusting the painting for a few moments, she glanced back at Rias’s door upon hearing a thud from within the room. "Hm," she hummed to herself. Vieta shrugged it off and continued dusting. Just then, the sound of glass breaking made her stop.

She stared at the room for a few seconds before setting the duster down on the ground.

Vieta slowly opened the door to the room. "Excuse me, is everything all right, Lady Rias?" she asked, peering inside. Taking a deep breath, Vieta stepped into the room. "I don’t want to cause any trouble, Lady Rias; I just want to make sure everything is okay." As she looked around, Vieta noticed that Rias's room was in disarray, with an oil lamp shattered on the floor.

Maintaining her calm and gentle expression, Vieta walked closer to the center of the room. "Lady Rias?" she called out softly. Vieta looked to her left, and her eyes widened from what she saw.

Thirty minutes passed by, and it rained harder. I just got done teaching Rias some writing, and barely any progress was made. I would hop on the bed and lie there face first, and I did heal myself back to normal.

"I'm exhausted," I said in a tired voice as I turned around to look at the ceiling. "I really miss you, Lumi. You were so cute and such a good friend. I wish Rias was like that." I grabbed the pillow under my head and hugged it tightly.

"When I come back, I should teach you some magic. Maybe more lightning spells or whatever else you’d like to try. I hope you’ll soon be no longer scared of swords and that your parents treat you well… I promise, when I return, we will have our time at the university together." I lifted my hand and hovered it over my face, staring at the ring on my finger. "I miss you too, master; your advice would be really helpful right now." I continued to gaze at the ring for several more seconds.

I would sit up from the bed, turn up the oil lamp beside me on my bedside drawer, and grab a note and pencil.

I looked right at the note Okay, I need to start thinking of a way to get Rias to start accepting me as her tutor a little more because, clearly, it’s not enough. I started thinking as I chewed on the back of the pencil. Okay, so Rias is clearly a hot-headed spoiled brat, but I usually see her eating biscuits, so I would take it that’s her favorite food. Maybe I can use that to my advantage, so if she wants a biscuit, she has to start trying. I started to write that idea down. "No, she would probably get too tired of it eventually and get fatter." I would scribble it.

I tapped the back of the pencil against my cheek. "Maybe I should go out and ask Molly to sing for Rias when she’s feeling angry. I mean, Molly wants to make people happy, and Rias definitely needs that."

As I moved the pencil to the notepad, I paused for a moment to think. Ah, no, why would Molly just teach Rias for the weeks? I mean, she’s so determined to make people happy and all that crap. Why Rias for hours a day in the weeks? She also said she doesn’t do it for money. I started to be a little more frustrated. "Ugh, what can I do?!" I exclaimed.

I would continue thinking. My eyes went wide as I had an idea. "Wait, Terits said she is mainly connected to Desha and her aunt. I could just get Desha to stay with us during my tutoring, and maybe Desha can talk with her or something. Desha already protects Rias, and they have a decently good connection." That’s a great idea! I smiled and wrote that down. "Okay, I like this."

Desha pushed open the door and came in.

I looked up at her. Speaking of her. "Desha, you’re here!" I got out of bed and set my pencil and notepad aside and walked to her. "I think I just had an idea to get Rias to start listening to me for once finally; I just need—"

"Not the time right now, Tenshin!" she exclaimed, her expression serious.

"Huh?" I asked, looking up at her in confusion.

"I need you to tell me if you have seen Lady Rias."

This is one wild approach. "N-No, I haven’t; I mean, the last place I saw her was in the garden after I got done tutoring her, but that was a couple of hours back." Desha gritted her teeth and clenched her hands. "I don’t get it; what’s wrong?" I asked while starting to get a little worried.

"Rias isn’t anywhere to be seen around the castle!"

I would look at her with frozen shock on my face. "...Huh?"
