"WHA-" The five all shouted at the same time before they were decisively cut off when five black portals spawned right before they. Without evening having the chance to breathe, black tentacles shot out from all the entrances and wrapped around the five youths' mouths.
"MMMGH!"
They were struggling trying to escape, but to no avail, they couldn't break through and got dragged into the pitch-black portals. Once they were in the portals, it dispersed like air.
"Interesting indeed... no wonder you set up that formation outside of the stage to limit their cultivation and create an illusion for those in the audience, so those noisy elders of these youths don't cause a ruckus."
Forest Wing City Lord remarked while surveying the audience, noticing all expecting looks etched upon their faces.
"We can't truly know their limits if they believe they're safe in these games, right? Though I wonder who will come out first, my bets are on the golden hair one she seems like the one with the most spice."
With a hopeful expression, Pisionic Law Master was still looking towards where the portals had vanished off.
"Hooh, I would go for the silver hair girl her and the brother, they do have the divine marking on them, not many can survive that kind of thing." He finished the City Lord and started to close his eyes and wait.
"As cliche as this sounds, but; True Divinity comes from within."

When Kazami got forced into the portals, his surroundings was pitch dark. He couldn't sense nor feel anything besides the solid black tentacle that coiled around his mouth.
He was still trying to gather all of his Qi, but it would be absorbed almost immediately by the tentacle whenever he attempted to.
The feeling of helplessness started to grow stronger as he realized not even Elder Jon had rushed to save him as he was getting tossed into this space.
Then it happens a white piercing light flashed Kazami eyes as he gazed upon one a terrifying, disgusting monster. It was a giant round creature with dirty, horrible looking black skin all around. Its surfaces covered in strange looking markings and filled holes.

The white light that flashed Kazami was it huge protruding eyeball that had blood-red veins all across it. In the center of its eyeball was a black pupil, but this pupil was the tentacle that was dragging Kazami!
Kazami, in his seventeen years of life, had rarely experienced fear. An honest and straight forward youth who wastes no time never thought of experiencing anxiety.
He who lives in a Middle-rank God realm and has a family that was one of the top powers among Middle-rank God realms; while also being the Young Master of the star family, what can make him feel fear?
Even with the training, he does with his sister, which would sometimes include fighting the monstrous beasts, he still didn't feel fear and instead felt a secure feeling.
But now all alone in a dark space with no one to rely on and no support to feel he started to experience the terror of the unknown, the terror of death.
The tentacle that was pulling him had started to slow down and give Kazami an even bigger feeling of dread. His only and constant thought was;
'Am I going to die?'

Kuzumi, when she gazed upon the terrifying eyeball monster, felt her blood run cold. This girl was always excited to gain everything her way and would still hold an absolute superiority of confidence over most people she met.
Being the Young Mistress of the Star Family, she had also become quite mischievous than her brother and similarly never put the thought of fear in her mind.
However, now she started to feel like a pitiful mortal on the edge of death. Her pride in becoming a peak Qi Connection Stage cultivator started to become duller; finding such small achievements doesn't matter as much.
The superior feeling she would always have was all but gone at this moment, and she started to lose hope.
'But why? Is this what true power is that even the Law Master can casually kill us and walk off as if nothing happens. Is this the end?'
…
Lun Yuo, when getting pulled, was praying for a miracle or for anything to happen. Witnessing and staring straight at this ghastly existence; she wanted to run away as far as possible and never turn back at this thing again.
Unfortunately, she was bound and couldn't even muster up any will to also try to gather her Qi.
Lun Yuo was much more of a thinker alongside her bubbly and competitive personality. Surprisingly even at a young age, she would think about the various emotions she would feel and what such passion means to her.
The one emotion that always had to confuse her was fear, as it was unpredictable for her. She was never able to describe it only somewhat feel it if she were to think about losing things dear to her.
Although now she can genuinely put fear into words and her only thought was;
'A feeling that will remain forever in your psyche no matter where you go. It's too much...'
