A Ghost?

A Ghost?

"Ahhhh, today was pretty fun being able to stretch our powers like that." Kuzumi sighed out in a relaxed tone leaning against a big tree along with the others.

"Yoh, it was a breath of fresh air for using my slaughtering aura like this. It energizes me for our days ahead when we could have an even more fabulous thrill." Brenda said, agreeing with her while her hands were behind her head leaning on the tree.

It was the late hours of the night, and the four decided to take up rest here. Kazami was gazing into the starry sky, finding it quite glorious to look upon while Brenda and Kuzumi were chatting among themselves.

Though the three didn't notice Lun Yuo as she seemed to suddenly intensely focus her eyes on something.

She felt a strange sensation coming from the forest as if the plants' vines and trees were slowly rotting away on the inside. Ever since she became more in tune with her God's bloodlines and underwent fusion, Lun Yuo notices she could slightly sense the environment.

'It's just like last night only now the feeling is even stronger than before.'

Indeed it was like the very tree the four was leaning on was violently shaking and decaying, yet it made no outwardly changes.

She soon was going to ignore this feeling again, as bringing it up to the others would do nothing since even she couldn't correctly identify it. But out of the blue, her bloodline began to rumble on its own!

Her eyes widen a bit as she knew this was a sign since her bloodline had acted out on its own before.

Looking over to the others, Brenda and Kuzumi were laughing with each other and Kazami was listening with amused interest.

Wanting to gain their attentions she put a bit of Qi into her voice and spoke out loud in a soft sing-song tone,

"Hey, guys! Focus your spirit sense for a bit."

Lun Yuo assumed since they can't feel the environment, then using their spirit sense was the next best thing.

While the other three did look over to her raising an eyebrow before doing as she asked.

At first, they didn't sense anything out of the ordinary, which nearly lead Kuzumi to tease Lun Yuo until all of their bloodlines experienced the same rumbling sensation as her.

Once they did, all of them focus up a bit more, and it was then they heard it,

"Ahhhhhhhhh..."

A long drawn out sigh ranged in their ears as all of them immediately stand into action. They spread their spirit sense far out, but only Lun Yuo notice it at first.

It was an unusual, strange entity that had no appearance she ever read or seen before. The existence was all spiritual with a sickly green colour and a revolting green head that seemed to pulsate.

Their eyes were a frightening dark piercing orange colour that burns through one soul, and she couldn't even see it's mouth as gross small looking tentacles hovered over it.

It had two small green wings sprouting from its back while the rest of the body was scraggly in the same puke green colour. Lun Yuo eyes with this strange figure and she didn't know what to make of it, but this creature just never took its eyes away from her.

"H-hey, don't you guys see this?" Hearing Lun Yuo slight shake in voice caused the other to focus on where she was pointing.

Only they were met with an empty space of air.

This sudden turn of events was far too unusual for Kazami liking as he opens his Profound Spiritual Eyes and widens them a bit once he saw the entity.

Like Lun Yuo, he never had seen something like this, and when he was able to gaze upon the creature, its eyes immediately focused on him.

"Argh! Where is...whatever the hell is hanging around us so I can split it open!!" Brenda cursed in frustration as her slaughtering Qi was becoming fiercer in trying to find this figure.

"Hold it, Brenda, Yu! Brother! You can see what made that noise, can you?!" Kuzumi's question as she notices both of them was intensely looking at the same spot, not saying anything.

Her words did cause the two to awake from their stupor as Kazami nodded,

"Yes, we can, but it's not a pleasant sight you want to stare at. I'm sure because of my eyes powers, I'm able to see it, but what about you, Yu?"

As he asked, Kazami realized all this strange entity was doing was just floating silently watching them. At first, he felt pulled to this figure, almost wanting to go up and touch it, but that feeling immediately went away somehow.

"I'm not sure, I felt a decaying sensation through the environment which intensified this night, and suddenly this appears."

"So what? Is this some sort of particular ghost or something like that? Brenda confusedly asked as she was able to hear this creature.

The four full attention was now on this entity even if Kuzumi and Brenda couldn't stare at it, and then the existence performed it's first movement ever since coming here.

As it slowly raised one of its arms, Kazami and Lun Yuo tensed up, but they didn't feel any pressure or power coming there way.

If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

Instead, it pointed to the side of them, indicating for them to go a specific direction. Kazami and Lun Yuo glanced at each other before Kazami said,

"You want us to follow you in a certain direction right...why? What even are you? Can you even talk?"

"Brother, why are we even wasting time with some spirit we can't even see? Just destroy it already!" Kuzumi said, not understanding why was this ghost farce was going for so long.

Her words did get Kazami and Lun Yuo to realize this entity held no overbearing pressure, nor any extreme power. Instead, it sparked a strange emotion curiously follow it and explore more about it.

"No...there no need. Yu, what do you think about this?" With a perplexed gaze as she stared upon the creature never taking her eyes away from it, she said,

"At first I could tell this entity definitely want something from us and specifically us, help most likely. I can feel it becoming increasingly more docile being in front of us as well. I think we should follow it."

"What why?!? You want us to follow some random "ghost" that suddenly appeared out of nowhere?? Isn't this a little bit strange?!!" Brenda instantly rejected as while she did have rising slaughtering intentions, she wasn't foolish enough to run headfirst into everything.

"I agree Brenda...if it wasn't for gods magically coming here by some cliché ancient item and other several divine things on this planet. Besides our lives is all about risks, how can we cower to a little 'ghost.'" Kuzumi told her seemingly making up her mind, while Kazami was quietly thinking and Lun Yuo didn't waver on her opinion.

Although Kuzumi words did inspire an idea inside of Brenda as she said,

"Hey, you know what, let's go. You're right, Kuzumi; there are risks we have to take, but also we have a fail-safe option."

"???" They all looked at her with questions as they knew they had no more slaughtering god talisman that can help them.

Feeling their expectant gaze, Brenda grew slightly smug saying,

"Did you all forget about my other abilities?! Of course, I want to use slaughtering Qi constantly, but all of you know who wins in the other department."

She said not telling them what specific ability it was, but the other three knew precisely. Her unparalleled speed intent laws! They knew she was speaking in such a roundabout way because of the 'ghost' but the other three could admit Brenda does have them beat in speed.

In their duel, even at their bloodline state Kazami and Kuzumi did have a hard time keeping up with Brenda speed and only was able to gain an advantage because of Kazami's eye powers. He was able to just barely react to her speed by seeing the slight circulation of Qi in the air and was able to temporarily slow her down for Kuzumi.

If they didn't have the element of surprise with his eye powers that affected the soul, then their duel would've been a lot more closer.

And unknown to the three of them, Brenda didn't even fully push her first stage speed intent laws to the limit!

"Yoh, I see you all get it, just trust me!" Seeing her lovable and cute smug expression, Kazami instantly relented while Lun Yuo and Kuzumi only sighed.

"If my lovable Brenda is this confident, then let's go. Anyways this is still only a mortal planet with hermit gods. And even they still hide to not incur the wrath of the Mission Center. So you odd creature, I'm sure you heard all of that, lead the way."

Lun Yuo, throughout this entire exchange, didn't see any change of expression on this creature, and once Kazami gave the approval, it started to float in the direction it pointed while still facing them.

"To think we're gonna do some sort of ghost hunting on this planet. Ah, well, maybe this will bring more fun than I think." Kuzumi sighed and followed after Kazami, and the girls began to follow the entity.

"The mysterious and horror fill night, where any strange creature can come and rip us apart yet us explorers care little for dangers. Not when we're so close to treasure!" A handsome young man narrated as he was writing in a journal travelling towards a specified destination along with three other good looking young adults.

Another handsome young man and two other beautiful young women all dressed in a brown button-up shirt, plain blue pants and black boots. But looks weren't the only thing going for this group as they were substantially powerful as all of them were in the Heaven Ruler realm!

"If you have time to narrate your foolish journal, then you also have time to help us in finding the treasure!" One of the women who was wielding a long pike cursed at the journal man.

"Ah? But I am helping! I'm writing down the coordinates of where we are, so we'll have an easy return trip." The journal man hastily defended himself and the other man who had brown gauntlets on said,

"Sure you are...though you are right about any creatures coming to attack us in the night. This really was a bad idea."

"What are you worried about? Unless we go deep at most we'll encounter are some weak Heaven Ruler realm beast. Besides, we have Captain Jane to make sure we don't go astray." Pike girl confidently said as the one she was referring to the prettiest woman there only snorted as she pours her Heavenly spirit sense inside a bright silver pearl.

Suddenly this pearl violently shook, and a smile blossomed on Captian Jane's cute face.

"We're close now all we need to do is-"

"Found it! That large green egg over there should be it, right?" To where the journal man was pointing to was puke green colour egg sat against a decayed tree.

"Well would you look at that, it's like it's just waiting for us." The pike girl said evident excitement in her eyes.

"Alright, before we proceed on, you know the drill scout around and make sure nothing can get in our way." Captain Jane order as they all nodded and started to carefully search the surrounding area.

"Huh, so that's what you want us to get? Simple enough only if those annoying Heaven Rulers weren't down there, and they have some skills as well." Kuzumi stated while the entity was pointing to the puke green egg.

The four of them were using their cloaks to stay undetectable, but they could sense the two men and pike girl was at the 4th level of Heaven Ruler realm. And Captian Jane was at the 5th level!

All of them knew to take that egg without clashing against this group was merely impossible, but they also weren't entirely positive on their chances of winning.

After all, this group is at the intermediate stage of Heavens Ruler, wielding superior powers compared to those at the early stage.

However Lun Yuo brain worked at a quick speed, and she soon formed a devious idea telling them,

"Brenda, if you were to focus entirely and not care a single bit about attacking, would those Heaven's Rulers being able to see or even sense you?"

"Yoh, if it's just this, then there won't be a single problem, you have something in mind?"

Kazami and Kuzumi also perked as Lun Yuo huddle them in close and started to whisper among them,

"Correct once we're done with them, they wouldn't even know how it ended for them."

She finished with a sweet, scary smile that sent slight shivers down Kuzumi and Brenda spines, but honestly gotten Kazami a bit excited.
