The group watched as Angel unleashed a barrage of arrows crafted from Mana sourced from both the environment and his own Will. Meanwhile, Chris deftly dodged parried, or neutralized them.
In the cultivation world, when a cultivator harnessed their Cultivation Paths, their Mind Energy became exposed to their Existence, receiving the necessary supplements. As an archer, Angel employed energy attacks, calculations, and predictions to strike. The Cultivation Path of Metaphysics resembled magic in many ways. However, while magic drew upon the universe as its foundation, this cultivation path used the cultivator as its foundation, enabling them to create anything they desire! At this level, though, Angel could only use it to calculate within the Will of the Universe, while incorporating his own concepts, such as Inevitability.
The universe was a mysterious realm inhabited by Divinities with unlimited concepts. However, due to overlapping concepts like Fate and Inevitability, the weaker Divinities with less influence were devoured and forever forgotten, shattered into oblivion.
Nevertheless, these shattered Divinities were often studied by various beings in the universe, leading to discoveries that astonished all who heard of them. When someone's existence resonated with these Divinities, there was an opportunity to tread that path! The advantage lay in the fact that since the Divinity was shattered, it didn’t seek out Demigods to embrace them as complete Divinities would; instead, it integrated forcefully with the cultivator's existence, forever under their control. Not even the universe could claim that divinity! The only downside was that before obtaining a part of divinity, the research would plunge any being into despair! This was why the cultivation path of metaphysics was created: to discover talents capable of cultivating those shattered Divinities.
Angel was staking his very future on this path! Consequently, everyone couldn't help but respect him. With the research he had conducted on the Concept of Inevitability, he has already made significant strides, enough to render mortal attacks Inevitable.
Thus, the scene of Chris darting back and forth was no laughing matter. While Chris couldn’t die by any mortal means due to his Guardian's Embrace, he could still suffer, and suffer he did!
As he bounced and made necessary plans to close the distance with Angel, an arrow struck his back. Flexing his muscles, he propelled himself forward, delivering punch after punch to Angel. However, these were deflected by the arrows that had already been calculated for this precise moment. Nonetheless, even calculations could fail!
With a mad glint in his eyes, Chris headbutted Angel with such force that he was sent flying several meters away, though he failed to notice the unsurprised look on Angel's face.
Angel, twisted his body, leaping high into the air, and pulled the bowstring until it lined up and touched his lips before releasing it. Due to the arrow's angle, it moved diagonally with ethereal colors and struck Chris on the forehead.
"Ouch!" Dante exclaimed. Angel always found a way to bounce back. While his methods were not perfect and even lacking compared to how Dante used magic to supplement them, they were effective!
Chris had had enough! With a roar that shook the room, he surprised the couple. However, what he voiced was expected by the rest of the group, as he said, "I surrender!"
Scarlet giggled upon hearing this. She always found sadistic pleasure when her brother transformed into a different person when he was annoyed with someone and gave them a beating.
Chris quickly added, "Chill, dude!" After seeing the drawn bow, he gave Arslan a pleading look, but all he received was indifference!
Arslan never meddled in their personal lives. As long as they did what they were meant to do, he was okay with their personalities. He had learned to be tolerant, recalling his troublesome childhood, and understood that these squabbles between them were not harmful.

At that moment, he received notice that Derin had arrived at the Castle. He sent his Will to her, and she altered her course to the training grounds.
While awaiting her arrival, he contemplated the method he would use to test Kante and Lyra. When he was a teenager, he had retrieved unused, experimental, and unconventional Paths and given them to various people. Most had disappointed him, while only two had yielded satisfactory results. He then sent them to the Luvi Academy when they both turned ten, and that was where Kante and Lyra met.
They both graduated at the top of their class. They were already dating at fifteen. Thanks to their efforts, they had already reached the 9th stage of the Mortal Realm, Path Integration, enabling their Existence to fully embrace their path. This meant that their path would have no trouble achieving Divinity, either because it was invalid or because someone had already achieved Divinity with the same Concepts they possessed in their Paths.
Arslan, who cultivated the Concept of Momentum, also had made progress with his Path of Momentum. Currently, it focused solely on the Momentum concept, without incorporating another concept to enrich it. However, he already knew that Momentum as a concept would be challenging to reach Divinity, as Heaven disapproved of beings that hadn’t reached Divinity stealing concepts and using them. After all, he wasn’t an Immortal at the stage of Eternal Independence to create his own Concept of Momentum without using the worlds or Universes’.
The only unexpected thing was his ability to use the Concept of Domination without issue. He neither borrowed nor stole it from anywhere. It felt more like it originated from within himself.
One time, he used Domination to dominate a domain of a Dao cultivator, thus breaking the connection between the domain and the cultivator. A domain was something that only certain paths and Divines could create, other than those who follow Dao, making it remarkable for a Mortal to disrupt it.
The last time he used Domination was not related to battle. Well, a different kind of battle that doesn’t involve combat but requires at least two people… in bed. Needless to say, it was a worthwhile experiment with Derin.
As he watched his wife walk through the corridors of the castle, he admired her form, patiently gazing at her. From the beginning, Derin had noticed his gaze, so she put extra effort into her innocent walk. Because of her secret meeting, she always felt guilty towards Arslan. Arslan was aware of it, of course. However, she didn’t need to know that. Sometimes, it’s better to wait and see. For now, angering that Dragoness is not something he wishes, especially with how he resonated with that dragon upon using Domination the World and showcasing how their meeting happened all those years ago in that Ocean.
He was a step away from forcing the world to eject that Dragon into space if she didn’t change her mind then and there. After all, battling it out at that time with a Demigod was not a choice when the Cosmic Alliance of this Galaxy didn’t have a Luvi Empire Demigod in this era. They, with their contributions, had already departed for the central cosmos, where the Divines had their own civilizations.
He also thought about her background and what caused the change of heart when his patience nearly ran out.
As his gaze lingered, Lyra questioned, “Your Majesty, when will we continue?”
He pulled away, disappointing Derin slightly. “Wait until Derin arrives,” he said, looking Lyra in the eyes. She had always been like a little sister from the moment he met and saved her from that family.
At that thought, his heart couldn’t help but pound more blood, awakening the need to Dominate, before slowing down after noticing Lyra having a flashback due to what happened when he had a similar experience right before he unleashed slaughter on that family. She was already special as a Mortal who hadn’t even reached the 2nd stage at that time.
“In the meantime, you should decide whether I will use a weapon or not. Then you can make the necessary preparations for it!” he said with a smile that eased Lyra’s heart.
“Without a weapon,” Kante voiced out right after he spoke. With a nod, Arslan accepted this outcome. Not that it mattered. It was best to Dominate with his Existence. Thanks to that, his Life Treasure wasn’t affected by this trait of the Concept due to Life Treasures already being joined with his Existence.
And he always took advantage of that by sending his Life Treasure to do his bidding. Anonymity was sometimes necessary to not expose his identity to do certain acts.
Then Kante and Lyra started discussing with hushed voices without even concealing it from their Emperor. After all, they knew it was useless. However, as fights go on, they will need to make impromptu moves, which will decide whether they can show their progress. After all, their Emperor always rewarded anyone who surprised him. They need to take this chance before they venture out into the starry sky.
After all, the last time their Emperor gave them a present, it was a material that shaped their Life Treasures, making them one of a kind in this Galaxy.
