The sound was very close, like something was whispering in his ear. He decided not to head towards it. He went down the other stairway. Ren quickly dashed out of the apartment. He got quickly away from the sound. From the distance at an angle he saw a girl, wearing the same type of uniform as him. She was hanging out behind the area Ren was going to head down. It was like she was waiting for someone or something. Ren didn't bother trying to ask because, she looks like one of those psychopathic girls. Ren pulled out his map and begin his way towards the university.

'Man.. that girl was strange. I wonder who she was waiting on.. She couldn't have been waiting on me. Though, I have to say, she was kinda cute, appearance wise, but also kinda creepy. She just stood there waiting, like she was waiting for the right moment to strike her prey.'

Ren walked across the street looking at his map. He went left. He went right. When he soon realise that the map was upside down. He felt embarassed but also extremely dumb.

'Aww.. man.. how did this happen.. on the first day of college and this happens to me..'

Ren sighed as he try to pin-point his current destination.

'Hmm.. if I'm looking at this correctly and sideways, then this must be the right direction.'

Ren pointed to the right direction and headed his way towards the University of Tokyo. As Ren walked, he could see many busy people. They all had their own businesses to attend and things to do. It was a very busy place. There was traffic left and right.

...

"Ughhh.. I finally made it.. I'm so tired..."

"Hrmmm.."

Ren could hear a strange tapping sound coming from in front of him. He slowly lifted up his head with an inch of energy he had left. He gazed up upon a girl. Not just any girl, the girl that was waiting near his apartment. The look on her face was stressed out and full of anger.

'Umm.. I wonder what I did, to make her look at me with so much anger.'

"Umm.. excuse me, who are you?"

Ren tried to visualize the situation. He doesn't understand.

"Where were you! You know I've been waiting for you for hours!"

The girl's face lighted up, like the fourth of july. She was really angry.

"Umm.. what are you talking about.. hehe.."

"I was waiting for you at your apartment.. you never came out.."

Ren was still confused.

"And.. why were you waiting outside my apartment?"

"I was inform that you would be coming today for the first time. So I was going to show you the directions and buses to take to get here...

"Umm.. I'm sorry."

Ren couldn't think of anything better then to bow his head and say sorry. The girls' face went from anger to shock.

"Wait! You don't have to say sorry. It was my fault for coming so early.."

'Though even if she did come right on time, I would've probably went the other way..'

The girl was very beautiful when looking at her close. Ren felt his heart tingle a bit. Her facial expression changed to full on happiness. She was a weird one. She was about a bit shorter then him, her face was bright and full of passion, full of adventure. A face you don't see much in this day and age. She was wearing her uniform. Her uniform was somewhat the same as Ren, just more feminine. She had a white button-up shirt tucked into her gray skirt, the length of the skirt reached a little over the knee. She was holding a normal bag with cute little key chains attached.

"Oh, I didn't introduce myself, my name is Rin. I'm from-wait you already know the answer from the looks of my uniform right?"

"Right.."

"Well, I think you should head towards your classes, Ren."

"Alright, but I'm not sure where to go. Can you help me?"

"Sure."

Rin smiled as she gladly accepted his request. Ren felt that he could slowly trust her, even though she was different from any girls he ever talked to.

...

After Rin showed Ren the school campus, she had to leave him to do something important and didn't want to discuss it with him. Rin walked down the halls and disappeared.

The day went by as he went from class to class. He heard many students talking about another recent disappearance that happened on the news. A guy named Hauku, age 21. He was part of the boys soccer team, his disappearance shook everyone at school. It was a month since the last incident at this university. The students are whispering in fear, thinking they might be next. This really ticked Ren off. He wanted them to stop talking about it. He didn't want to hear anymore.

*whispers*

"Can you guys stop."

Ren spoke quietly. His head started to hurt.

"CAN YOU GUYS STOP!!!"

Ren stood up and slammed his hands on the table, his outburst caused him to feel dizzy. The students looked at him in shock. Some got scared from the sudden rupture, while some laughed and giggled.

"Are you okay?"

A voice came from right behind him. Ren's face look white as a ghost. He felt like he was freezing, the coldness felt heavy. Ren try to stand up, but then his vision got fainted.

*smash*

"Hey! Are you okay? Hello?"

The voices of the person trying to help him echoed as he was swallowed by the darkness.

...

'Days before my dream of wanting to come to Tokyo, my dad was heading on a business trip in Tokyo. He always said that Tokyo was a place where you can do many different things and never get bored or tired of it. Even though this all happened when I was just in middle school. I knew everything he said, I understand his tone of voice, how happy he was to go to Tokyo for the first time in forever. On the day he left for the business trip was the last day I would ever see him again. He went missing. I could remember mom crying her heart out, she just sat in her room crying over and over again. She was never the same after dad passed away. It was never confirmed that he actually died, but no evidence could prove that he didn't. After many years of hardship, my mother tried to pour all the love she could give to me, being a single mother with no father was hard on her. I hope she is doing fine back in our hometown, the town my mom and dad decided to raise me.'

Ren opened his eyes, he scanned the area. There was no one here. He was alone in the school's clinic room. Ren looked towards the clock that hanged just right above the door of the room.

12:06 PM

'Aww.. shit.. I've been here for 7 hours..'

Ren sat up slowly. His head still hurted a bit.

Should you head home?
