The lord...

The lord...

Takuo and the other samurais watched in awe as the lord burst through the wall, effortlessly slicing through the bandits in his path.

"He's insanely strong," Takuo thought in awe. "Just as strong as the bandit leader."

Takuo gasped as he recognized the lord.

"Yuchiro," he thought to himself. "It's the lord himself. He's here to help."

The sight of the ruler joining the battle filled the samurais' hearts with renewed determination.

"We have a chance now," Takuo thought, a newfound hope surging within him.

Kuro, the bandit leader, looked visibly displeased as he saw Yuchiro joining the battle. He sneered, his eyes narrowing in anger.

"So, the lord has finally decided to show himself," Kuro thought to himself, his lip curling in disdain. "This could make things interesting."

He gripped his sword tighter, his mind racing as he tried to come up with a new plan to deal with the unexpected addition of Yuchiro into the fray.

"He's strong," Kuro admitted to himself. "But I'm stronger. I'll take him down, just like I'll take down the rest of these fools."

With a grim expression, Kuro lunged forward to confront Yuchiro directly.

The two powerful warriors clashed, their swords clashing together with a deafening clang.

The palace grounds were a battlefield of chaos and destruction. Fires blazed everywhere, reducing parts of the building to ash, and the bodies of slain bandits and samurais lay strewn across the ground.

The air was thick with the stench of death and smoke, and the sounds of clashing blades and screams filled the air, creating a horrifying and chaotic scene.

Takuo's mind suddenly remembered the lord's daughter, Yuna. He knew that she was still in the palace somewhere, and his heart filled with concern for her safety.

Takuo quickly turned to the other samurais, his face grave.

"The lord's daughter," he said urgently. "She's still inside the burning palace. We have to find her before it's too late."

The other samurais nodded, their expressions serious. They knew the importance of rescuing the lord's daughter and bringing her to safety.

"We'll split up and search for her," Kairo said, his voice firm. "We need to find her quickly before the flames spread any further."

This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.

"Right," Takuo agreed, his heart pounding with urgency. "We need to search the palace thoroughly and look in every room."

The samurais quickly split up, each group taking a different direction. Takuo led one group, his eyes frantically darting around as he searched every room and alcove for any sign of Yuna.

The flames were getting stronger, and Takuo could feel the heat on his skin as he searched. The smoke was becoming unbearable, and he had to constantly cover his mouth and nose to breathe.

Takuo's heart nearly stopped as he saw a bandit holding Yuna, trying to force her towards Kuro.

"No," he thought to himself, his anger rising. "She mustn't fall into his hands."

The other samurais quickly reached Takuo's group and saw the scene unfolding before them. They could see the bandit holding Yuna, and the anger and determination hardened in their eyes.

Without hesitating, they threw themselves at the bandit, attacking him fiercely and forcing him to drop Yuna.

Takuo quickly caught Yuna as she fell, holding her gently in his arms.

"Thank goodness," he thought to himself, relieved that they had managed to rescue her.

Takuo gently cradled Yuna in his arms, his heart filled with concern as he saw that she was unconscious.

"She must have been overwhelmed by the smoke," he thought, worried. "We need to get her out of here as soon as possible."

Takuo nodded to the other samurais, signaling them to help him carry Yuna out of the burning palace.

Together, they quickly made their way through the flames and smoke, trying to find a safe exit.

Yuchiro was putting up a fierce fight against Kuro, but even he was starting to lose ground. Despite his impressive skills and power, Kuro was a fearsome opponent.

However, Yuchiro managed to find an opening and struck Kuro's left eye with a swift blow of his blade.

Kuro cried out in pain, clutching his eye as blood streamed down his face. The other bandits who were still standing looked horrified, their morale crumbling at the sight of their leader's injury.

The river valley below the castle was a stark and dangerous place, with a massive river flowing through it and a sheer cliff face stretching up on either side.

The fight between Yuchiro and Kuro had brought them to the very edge of the valley, teetering precariously on the edge of the cliff.

The wind was strong up here, and the sound of the rushing river was like a roar in their ears. Below them, the fall was long and deadly, with only churning water and jagged rocks waiting at the bottom.

The rain started pouring down in sheets, dousing the castle grounds with a relentless torrent of water.

The rain mixed with the smoke and ash from the burning palace, adding to the overall chaos and confusion.

The ground became muddy and slippery, making the battle even more difficult and dangerous.

A guttural cry of pain escaped Yuchiro's lips as the blade cut deep into his chest, the force of the blow knocking the breath out of him.

He stumbled backwards, desperately clutching his wound as blood poured down his front. The rain lashed against him, pelting him like needles as he stumbled closer and closer to the edge of the cliff.

With a final, mighty push, Kuro kicked him square in the chest, sending him tumbling over the edge and into the churning river below.

As Yuchiro soared through the air, his eyes widened in shock and panic.

"No," he thought to himself, his mind racing. "Not like this."

As he fell, he saw Kuro standing at the edge of the cliff, his face twisted in a sneer of victory.

"You're finished, old man," Kuro taunted, his voice carrying over the sound of the river below.

"You're nothing but a relic of the past. And now, you're going where you belong – to the bottom of that river."

Yuchiro grit his teeth, determination blazing in his eyes. "I'm not finished yet," he muttered through the pain, his voice low. "You underestimate me, Kuro."

Yuchiro hit the water with a deafening splash, disappearing under the turbulent surface. The water churned and foamed where he fell, the current tossing and turning his body.
