Chapter 36: The Usual Spying On the Unusual Suspects (2)

"ANgh…" A moan entered his ears, followed by more moans. The erotic moans were clearly being uttered by a lady, while low grunts and moans of a man were also heard in between.

Anom frowned as he thought that maybe he came at the wrong time.

But then he began to hear some words along with the moans as the people inside began to converse.

"AAH… Slow… down… you… AANHH… SLOW DOWN, DAMN IT!!!" The woman screamed at her partner in a commanding tone. Her partner made a low grunt of agreement.

"Yes… Just like… Nghh… that… AAAHHN~" The woman let out a satisfied moan, indicating that she might have climaxed.

There was a short silence before a sentence was heard.

"Let's do that again," spoke the woman.

Sounds of flesh colliding together, along with grunts and moans began to sound from inside once again.

"Ahh… hmmm… Hey! You didn’t forget to… Ahhhmm… send a gift to our niece, right? I… Ahnn… don’t want the other women in the family to tease me… Hnnn… for forgetting such a small matter."

"Of course I did." A rough voice replied. "You know how much I love her."

"Yes, I love her too." The woman replied in a tone filled with love. The exercise inside became less intense as the people involved began to focus on their talk.

"Hmm… What did you give her? I hope it's not like the last time when the youngest daughter of the sixth brother-in-law got sick and you sent her an energizing herb meant for men." The woman sighed as she regretted not selecting the gift herself.

"But that was only because I felt so energetic after eating it. So I thought that maybe she would also feel better." The man replied timidly.

"You…" The woman sighed. "What did you select this time?"

"Oh… It's… Uhh… A good herb…" The man tried to explain but he sounded unsure.

Before the woman could become angry, he explained, "Alright. I don’t know what kind of herb it was but it was something that I selected from Second Brother's collection so it must be fine."

"From Second Brother? Why? You could have sent one from your own allowance." The woman did not seem to like the idea of sending a gift provided by someone else.

"Don't worry. Second Brother bought a lot of fresh and effective herbs from some travelling merchants this time. He told me that he got them at a good price, so he allowed me and some others to select a few. He even refused when we offered to exchange it with our resources. *Sigh*… He's such a noble person and also strong. I'm really nothing compared to him." The man explained as his voice was filled with respect and admiration when he talked about his Second Brother.

"…Alright. I guess it's better than letting you select one." The woman could only agree as it had already happened.

Although it was a simple talk between a husband and wife, Anom got some useful pieces of information.

He got ready to leave but the next words from Crystal's third Uncle, Kaslik, caught his attention.

"But he was acting really weird when I met him before." Kaslik said all of a sudden as he expressed his concern.

"Weird? How?" His wife and Crystal's third Aunt, Akoi, asked."

"He sent his servant to invite me to his house. I thought that he must have also called the others to choose the herbs but I soon found that I was invited alone. When I asked, he told me that he had a favour to ask of me." Kaslik continued in a confused tone, "He wanted me to go outside the estate and receive a parcel for him. I didn’t ask anything as I knew he might have some difficulties."

"Then?" Akoi couldn’t help but get curious. She knew about the firm and calm nature of Kaslik's Second Brother. Him hesitating about something was really something of concern.

Kaslik continued. "Someone was already waiting for me there. He didn’t even greet me or say anything and just left after passing the parcel to me. You know how much I dislike such pretentious people… But when I was about to teach him some manners… I saw something."

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"What?" Akoi got a bad feeling about the direction this conversation was heading.

"…I saw a badge on his waist when he turned to move… It belonged to one of the gangs in the city." Kaslik said with a heavy tone.

Before Akoi could ask, he spoke, "It belonged to the Giro Group." His voice turned heavier when he mentioned the name.

Anom heard Akoi gasping as they remained silent for a while before she asks, "Did you ask the Second Brother about it?"

"…No. I didn’t know what to do at that moment, so I mentioned nothing in front of my brother. I… don’t know. It's confusing."

'Yes it is!' Anom thought, as he wasn't able to make sense of what was being said.

"Maybe it was done on purpose. Otherwise, how could that person act so mysterious and end up giving up his identity towards the end?" Akoi guessed.

Kaslik agreed. "That's what I thought. If not for me being stunned due to the possibilities, I would have beat the shit out of that bastard and made him spit out what scheme he was brewing."

"…You should have told the Elder Sister about it. We shouldn’t take any chances with the situation being so delicate," Akoi advised.

"You’re right. I wasn’t able to think properly before, but it's still not too late. I will tell her early in the morning tomorrow." Kaslik decided.

But Anom sighed inwardly, it would have been too late till then if not for his being there.

Soon, only even and calm breaths were heard as Anom decided to leave.

The information he collected till now was quite significant and might prove to be the link in solving the internal struggles within the Safaira family.

Anom weaved through the shadows as he passed by many buildings and courtyards before finally arriving at the location of the final suspect.

The moonlight illuminated the simple and large house. The front yard was covered with different kinds of flowers. But they all had a thing in common. It was the effect of their scent. Just a whiff of this mixed fragrance calmed the mind and made one's soul feel tranquil.

The house was large, befitting the status of the person who lived in it. But its style was simple, lacking the grandness the other buildings that Anom saw before possessed.

Anom observed the situation from a distance and analysed all the elements around the house.

He started moving forwards while keeping his senses on full alert. This was the final and the most probable suspect. He can't afford any mistakes right now.

There was a stone-paved path passing through the middle of the flowerbed.

Just as he was about to step onto the path, Anom felt a sensation he hadn’t felt in a long time.

Acting fast, he retreated to the shadows while maintaining his stealth.

He let out a breath of relief and took a moment to readjust his senses before looking back at the place where he was standing before.

Anom felt a sense of danger just when he was about to step on that stone-paved path. But it was not his senses that alerted him, but more like an intuition.

Anom remembered the last time he felt something similar. It was when he was on Earth. This intuition-like sense has saved him many times before. Alerting him at the critical moments.

But he knew that this intuition was not baseless. It was the result of all the research he had done and the data he had collected before doing any mission. This intuition is simply a result his brain deduces subconsciously which he might not have been able to do when he tries it by himself.

But it was different this time. Anom had almost no information about his target. He was basically using a trial and error method which was quite dangerous, but he had no other choice within the limited time-frame.

The intuition this time came from deep within him. But it also made him feel the presence of something outside. Something that could endanger him.

'My soul.' Anom already has an answer to this mystery.

His soul had become more sensitive after he tried to analyse the external energies using his soul. Just now he felt like he was about to walk into a trap, not a fatal one, but it would have surely alerted the target.

He thanked his luck and began to think about his next action.

It was not possible to spy on Crystal's Second Uncle anymore. But he had to find some way to get more information about him.

While he was considering his options, the door to his target's house opened. Anom became alert as he wondered if the enemy had found out about his presence.

A figure came out of the door. The door closed behind him as the face of the head of servants, Guloi, became clear in the moonlight.

Guloi passed through the front yard as he made his way towards the main corridor.

He was frowning and looked worried as he walked through the corridor, unaware of the shadow following him.

Guloi kept walking for a few more minutes before arriving at an intersection. Just as he turned…

*Thud*

"Ouch!" "Uhh!"

Two groans of pain sounded as Guloi stumbled into someone while the person opposite to him had already fallen to the floor.

Guloi was about to scold the blind bastard in front of him but he saw the person's face and couldn’t help but exclaim, "Biona?!" It was his wife, Biona.

Biona rubbed her head as she stood up. But when she saw her husband, she forgot all the pain. "Dear!" She screamed with joy as she jumped towards Guloi.

"No-" *Thud* before he could say anything, his solid and chubby wife forced him to the floor.

"Dear! I was searching for you everywhere! Our plan failed so badly! The young mis- Mmumum!" Biona screamed happily and began to whine about her failed attempt to poison Crystal. But before she could blurt out everything, Guloi covered her mouth. "Shut up! Do you want to tell the whole estate about the plan? Wait till we reach our house." He spoke in an angry but low voice.

Biona's eyes went round as she hurriedly nodded. Both of them stood up and started walking in the direction of their house.

The duo of husband and wife walked through the broad corridor as a pair of eyes followed them from the shadows.
