Currently 999 other people and myself are walking down this extra long hall way. There was a huge 7 on the entrance of this hallway, and on the left and right sides were large metal doors each spaced between with another number 7. While walking down this hallway people were being ushered into these metal doors, and eventually it got to me. I looked at the guy, and he looked at me before nodding towards the door. I motioned my way in.
There was dim lighting in here, and it was completely barren aside from a black suit hanging on the wall to my left, and a pretty large black capsule-like machine. Afterwards the Developer or scientist... whatever he is began to speak.
"Inside you will find a suit, and a capsule. We want all TESTERS to enter Serenity Immediately so we can achieve accurate data. Once you enter you will create your character and an Alias for them. You will also answer a few questions before actually entering the game. Spawns are random, but you will spawn near a town. Also, If you have to use the restroom, I advise you wait until you enter the game. You be able to relieve your self there, trust me." He smiled " Good bye, for now."
With that he closed the door and I was all alone in this dimly lit room. I picked up the suit and looked at it, it was pitch black with small blue and green lines running through it. After a couple of seconds I began to undress to put the suit on. 20 seconds later I finally had the suit pulled on and it was actually pretty comfortable. It felt as if I had a pair of really snug pajamas on, but it was airy in the areas that needed... air. I sighed and turned to the capsule-like machine.
"Haaah, well looks like its time to see what this... 'world' is all about." I say before attempting to opening the pod. I noticed there was a blinking blue green palm shaped button on the front of the machine, and it seemed like the light from this button pulsed throughout the whole outside of the pod like a wave of color. I pressed my hand on the button and the pod opened up from the touch.
"Whoa" I said with moderate surprise.
Inside was this bright neon blue jelly like substance, it seemed to be alive and moving. It let off a feint pulse as if it sensed my presence.
I decided to put my hand in first just to be safe, but all of a sudden my whole body was sucked in without a moments notice. It felt like I was diving into a warm pool, except there was no water and I could breath. my vision was completely black. I couldn't see anything for a few seconds, then a blue screen appeared in my vision.
Would you like to customize your avatar? If so, say aloud what you would like to do, and the system will take care of the rest.
Suddenly a Mirror appeared in front of me. I already decided I didn't want to change much about myself. My skin tone was in between a reddish and chocolate brown unlike my sister who is more lighter tone. I stood at 5'11 and weighed 150, I was on the slimmer side but all of it was lean muscle. My facial features were decent, with a chiseled chin and light brown eyes. Lastly, I had some curly hair cut with a fade. After a few seconds of thinking I decided I would only change one thing.
"Can you change my eye color to silver please? that's it though." I said "and soon after I blinked my eyes and looked into the mirror, my eyes were silver.
"Wow" I was amazed even though this was probably the simplest thing I would witness in this world. Another blue screen popped up after I confirmed the change.
What would you like your characters Alias to be?
This, however was a little more complicated...
"Shit..." cursing to myself I wracked my brain for a decent name. Names are so fucking important! My shit had to be cool, and original... And then it came to me.
"METRO!" I yelled
Your Alias is Metro Y/N ?
"Yes!" Cause I already know I'm not about to trust nobody! That's how you get fucked over, and you can die in this game! I had a sneaking suspicion that a lot of people were going to get taken advantage of in this world.
Then a quick questionnaire popped up in the same blue screens. It asked questions about my birthday, where I live, and where I went to school. Also asked about my hobbies. Not too personal of questions, but I still kind of thought it was a bit creepy. After I was done I felt my body get pulled into another direction. It happened so fast I couldn't even be surprised! My vision grew too bright and I had to squint my eyes. It felt like my body was moving at an incredible speed, but oddly enough it wasn't uncomfortable. After a while the light began to dim. I opened my closed eyes and felt the sensation of my feet touching the ground. The world that greeted my vision was really something else...

The place I was transported to was wide green field. Though the sky had some sort of mist to it. It gave the area a dusky feel, like the sun was about to set all day. To the south of me was a small town I could see down a hill, and to the north of me was a dense forest. The trees of this forest looked almost black from this distance, which I also thought was a little creepy. I could make out small critters and other game roaming the fields. Although it was a beautiful sight to see, I couldn't help but shake the slightly ominous vibe I was getting from this area. I shook it off and started walking down the hill.
I decided to get to know the UI a little bit better before actually starting my 'adventure'. It Wasn't a whole lot, really. Just a health, and stamina bar I could see just slightly out the peripheral of my left eye. Also, If I looked up with both of my eyes the view of a compass would come in.
If you didn't look directly at them they just disappeared, and it was just like regular vision. It was a nice feature to have, because if I always saw my health bar through my peripheral it would annoy me. I noticed I didn't have any inventory, or an "equipment slot" screen though. The equipment screen I wasn't too worried about, but the inventory was something important. I never played games seriously, but I knew without an inventory I wouldn't be able to pick up shit.
"Well, damn." I cursed to myself. I'm sure there would be some sort of bag, or something I could buy. How else would you keep loot? I scratched my head and decided to worry about a bag later, first I needed money to purchase it. Lastly, there was a small icon of a + in the bottom right of my peripheral vision. I focused on it and it brought up a stat and Character screen

"Huh, I already have affinities and resistances?" I said while thinking out loud. I had the standard stats you usually get when you start off in an MMO, 10 in everything. But I wonder where the free % in affinities and resistances come from. I decided not to really get to into it because its only going to help me anyway. What really caught my eye though was the Unique stats! I couldn't wait to see what those would do, and how to unlock them.
After familiarizing myself with the minimalistic interface, and the feeling of moving around in this world I decided to make my way towards that town. It took me around 10 minutes to make it to the town from where I first spawned. I Forgot to mention there was a small clock you could see near where the + is so you know what time it is. Anyway, it didn't look like it would take that long to reach the town from where I first spawned but I guess elevation is a deceiver.
After reaching the town I took in the sights before my eyes. It wasn't a massive town. But, it was on the larger side. Though I wouldn't assume most of these houses are livable from the looks of some of the farther ones. Of the nicer homes there was a house which you could call huge compared to the others in the middle of town down the main street. On the main street itself were the shops you would see in your everyday video game.
There was a blacksmith, tailor, general store, apothecary, and an Inn. Other than the residential area and main houses there was nothing that really stood out about this village. The town itself though gave off that same creepy vibe I felt shortly after spawning in. I was wondering if I was the only one who felt it, but some of the villagers looked depressed as well. While walking down the main road I did not see one person smile. Well, besides the players. You could definitely tell NPCs and players apart from how giddy the other players are.
"Wow this is amazing, look at how real all this is!"
"These Graphics are too realistic..."
"Books, bags, and bottles! come to the general store for your everyday needs!"
"Looking for potential adventuring partners, lets explore this world together from day one!"
"If ye not trying to lose yer head, come get some armor and saver yer life!"
All types of commotion could be heard throughout the small town, bust most of it was... user activity with some shopkeepers advertising there wares. There were a few other people I saw talking to NPC's so I guess they were already trying to receive quests. They clearly were trying to get ahead of the curve from the beginning. If this were a normal video game, then they would be smart. But I wanted to see what this world really had to offer if experienced from a different view. I didn't want to grind unless it was for a good reward. So with that thought in mind I began walking around to explore the town.

I'd been walking around this town for a while, and honestly it was a lot bigger than I had first assumed. Though most of these houses were abandoned or destroyed. It gave off this really ominous and creepy feeling... but I shrugged it off and continued walking. I'd been walking up and down small streets for the past hour, and only saw a couple other players and villagers. The sun had started to go down, and that's when I had remembered that time moves faster in this world than in my own. A shiver went down my spine, and I swear to god I saw a shadow move behind a broken down house out the side of my vision.
"What the fuck?" I cursed under my breath. I was really starting to get creeped the fuck out. That ominous feeling never left me as soon as the sun started going down. Unfortunately I kept walking for a few minutes before that same shiver went down my back again. That's when I decided to turn back to where the majority of the people were.
"I should just go to an inn for tonight, I'm getting really creeped out by this broken down misty town." I Said to myself.
but something stopped me from completely turning around, I felt some intense anxiety, and my instincts told me to fucking run. So, I took the off down an alley to my left like lightening.
That's when I heard it move, it made no vocal noises other than deep gurgling breathes that I could hear, and loud steps... The footsteps didn't sound like I was losing it... just constant loud steps slapping in the mud.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" I cursed not wanting to turn back and look at what was chasing me, all I knew was if I stopped I would probably die. All that was on my mind was run, run, run as fast as you can. That's when I noticed my stamina bar was at half.
"OH FUCK!" I Yelled and I picked up the pace, not thinking clearly. Speeding up would blow my stamina quicker, but I was scared out of my life! I just fuckin started in this world and now I getting chased by whatever monster or creature was behind me! I quickly took a right down another alley way, and jumped over a bunch of trash and old splintered wood. Scraping my leg in the process. I started looking for anywhere to at least hide so this thing would stop chasing me!
The noise sounded like it was getting closer after I jumped that barrier, and I turned down another alley way to my right to try and lose this thing. Down this alley way was a dead end, and I could hear the slaps getting closer and closer. I frantically looked everywhere for some place to hide... and I found it! My safe haven was a broken window, I made my way through it as quietly as possible and sat down to the right of the window out of sight, and out of the moonlight. Just in time too because the loud slaps were getting closer and closer.
I took a deep breath and tried to steady my breathing as the footsteps got closer. By the time the footsteps were right outside the window my breathing was still. I heard the thing outside the window, it didn't make a lot of noise. Just the sound of its breathing, which was heavy and gargled. The shadow it cast through the window indicated that its neck or whatever it was was bent at 90 degree angle. After a while the thing started to walk back down the way it came.
I waited for another 2 hours before I started to move, I was so scared. I had to stop myself from going into shock. Unclenching and clenching my shaking hands. I don't know what I was expecting from this game, but it definitely was not some shit like that... I don't even know what was chasing me, and I know that if it would have caught me I would have died.
