"HOLY SHIT!" I yell while leaping up. I quickly maneuver over the couch and bring my bestfriend into a bear hug.

'Damn I knew he said ASAP, but Jesus I literally just sent the message not 5 minutes ago' I thought to myself after separating from the hug.

"Man its good to see you! You haven't changed much since high school though, haha" I said while patting him on the shoulder.

Lane was around 5'10 not super tall, just average height for a man. He was well toned, but was more on the leaner side of the body spectrum. He has a head full of brown curly hair and green eyes. His face is very symmetrical. He has really good genes. While we were in High School, the both of us were pretty popular with females because of our looks and personalities.

Lane smiled after before speaking.

"Its good to see you too David! I'm also happy you accepted my offer." He said while sliding his phone into his pocket.

"Yeah my dude, that offer was just too good man. You know I wouldn't have passed it up even if I wasn't in such a shitty situation" I say with a half grin half grimace on my face, Lane could here the exhaustion in my voice. This was honestly way too good to be true, but if its Lane I can trust him, he hasn't let me down before.

Upon hearing about our agreement, my sister looked back and forth in between lane and myself. My sister by the way is 17, and her name is Nicole. I call her Nikki though. She is 5'3, and she is very pretty for her age. She has long extremely curly hair, which is tucked behind her ear on one side, she has hazel eyes and she was growing into a mature woman. I have to be very protective of her, because where we live is not the safest place in LA.

"What agreement are you talking about bro?" she asks as she looks my way. I smile slightly, and usher everyone to follow me to the couch so we can talk further. After sitting down I started to speak.

"Basically Nikki, Lane offered me a job, I will be-"

Lane quickly cut me off as I started to explain in detail to my sister what he offered.

"Going away for a couple of months! I offered David a job working under me personally, he will be something like an assistant for me at work. Don't worry, while he is away with me you will be moved to nice condo in a city close to the facility, given a weekly salary of 1500 dollars, transferred into one of the best private schools in the country tuition and expenses all paid in full. Of course we will also cover your mothers medical bills, and you two will both have lifetime insurance sponsored by Realistik inc. for participating in this test."

My eyes grew wide, my mouth hit the floor as Lane began talking. I looked at my sister and her eyes were wide and full of tears, and her hands covering her mouth. You can tell she was also thinking hard about how we would survive in our current situation. I completely forgot he cut me off because the benefits he was giving to us were just fucking insane. This was even better than what he told me in the voice message, this was literally a god sent blessing.

"Unfortunately we do not have time to continue discussing matters here. David and I will be taking our leave now, and in about 10 minutes a vehicle will be here to transport you to your new home Nicole." Lane said quickly while grabbing my hand and damn near pulling me toward the door.

Before we made it to the door my sister rushed over to us as fast as she could and wrapped her arms around both of us, a silent thank you from her to us. Even though she had no clue what was going on she was still thanking me for taking this opportunity for the both of us, and thanking lane for giving this opportunity to us. Lane smiled and patted her head with his free arm. She said no words, just hugged us with tears in her eyes. I planted a kiss on her forehead, and told her everything was gonna get better from here, after a little while she let go and we were on our way.

We quickly made our way out of the apartment building, and outside we found an all black Mercedes ready to pull off. Lane began walking faster toward the vehicle. After we made it inside the car I looked out the window to the third floor which was where my old apartment was. I saw my sister looking down at the us. Even from this distance I could still make out her beautiful smile, and the tears that stained her face as she waved and mouthed the words goodbye to me.
