Chapter 1 -the the beginning

Millennia had passed, and the world was at peace. Ace, an 18-year-old student learning in gods descendance academy ventured into an abandoned mine and discovered some glowing stones. Without hesitation, he quickly went to check it out and found a worn-out mask. Wondering why a mask would be in an abandoned mine, he decided to take it home, unaware of what it was. As he was about to sleep, he sensed that the mask was eager to be worn.

The next day, on his way to school, he was constantly bullied because of his status in life, living in poverty while his classmates were wealthy kids born into good environments. "On top of being poor, he couldn't use any magic power. But Ace didn't give up. He resorted to black magic, declaring that he had enough of the bullying and being a slave to some pigs.

He wanted to be number one. But little did he know, the black magic would slice his arm. After his arm was sliced, his consciousness began to fade, and he heard someone—or something—calling him, as if the mask itself was calling him. Without hesitation, he grabbed the mask and put it on. After putting it on, he saw his arm grow back. Not only that, but he gained tremendous power. At first, he was happy, though also shocked. But that was only the beginning. Halfway through the healing process, he realized that someone—or some other soul—would replace his body. And yes, it happened. "The dark knight’s soul took over. At first, the dark knight was confused by the era he found himself in, but he still knew his goal: to annihilate devils in the world. Realizing he didn’t have his blade,

the Shadow Sword—a slightly longer weapon that excelled in swift, elusive movements, leaving enemies bewildered—he surveyed his host body. He quickly understood that the host’s body would not withstand the blade’s immense pressure. therefore he made it to his needs.

Back at Ace’s house, he was declared dead. Living alone, no one came for him, and his bullies kept spreading rumors, claiming he had secluded himself because he couldn’t take it anymore. Meanwhile, Kai, an elite student at the God’s Descendance Academy and the boy next door whom quill despised, had a hidden side. Despite his flawless reputation, people didn’t know the real Kai—he enslaved girls and blackmailed them, hiding his dark deeds behind a charming facade.

But Quill was more hands-on when it came to preserving her family’s reputation. Despite everything she had done for them, she was cast aside and labeled worthless. Fueled by anger and a desire to prove herself, Quill challenged Kai to a duel in the upcoming tournament. Both were given one month to train. While Quill focused on rigorous training, Kai sought powerful artifacts to secure his victory. Unsurprisingly, Kai won, thanks to the artifacts. Keeping her promise, Quill stepped down as the next princess and vowed never to enter the academy again.

"Not far from the academy, rumors began to spread in a nearby village about a black knight hunting powerful beasts. The black knight, realizing his body was now ready, decided to enter the Cave of Fiend Eternal Flame to retrieve his sword. With ease, he slew the beast guarding the entrance, unaware that a dragon awaited him at the cave’s depths. While the black knight was sleeping for the night, he didn’t expect the dragon to launch a sudden attack. The surprise assault left him severely injured, forcing him to drain the life force at twice the normal rate to heal his wounds quickly.

After the princess began her travels, she swore to herself that she would become the world's greatest mage, dedicated to healing people across the world. Her determination went beyond mastering healing magic; she resolved to study black magic as well, seeking the power to protect and restore balance.

Driven by this unwavering resolve, her journey led her to the fabled Cave of Shadows, a place steeped in mystery and danger. Deep within its dark recesses, she discovered the ancient Book of Shadows, a tome shrouded in legend. The book spoke of the Three Knights—the Spear, the Sword, and the Bow—guardians chosen to protect the world from the rise of the devils.

Back in the capital, the king named Kai as his successor, and no one disagreed due to the way Kai had managed the kingdom. However, some people disliked the idea of Kai becoming king and began plotting to assassinate him and take the Red Crown, a legendary artifact said to have the power to even slay gods.
