We'll talk about a few characters that have appeared since the last Cast of Characters bit:
Morden:
Morden is the classic villain- except that he's not. His whole character design- pale skin, dark greasy hair, propensity for wearing black armor. He legitimately looks like the kind of guy that'd shank you in an alley and then fuck the stab wounds. He's actually more of a chaotic good.
He originally was going to be a Blackguard, but instead I gave him a couple of levels of rogue, and then the rest went into a fighter.
I liked the "gap" between "looking completely like an evil villain but actually a decent guy (sort of)". He's got the capability to learn magic (like his brother Corwin) but chooses not to. Rolled surprisingly high CHA.
Stronghammer:
He hasn't gotten a lot of screen time yet, even though he was picked up allll the way back in Nauders. Straight fighter, though his WIS is higher than your typical Fighter loadout. If you haven't figured it out by now, his thing is hammers. Blunt force trauma, yay! (by the way, he once propositioned Lynnabel, who turned him down politely. The scene was written, but it didn't fit the surrounding narrative).
Edwin:

Could not find a decent class package for him, so I went with rogue. The guy basically is a weaponsmith/ engineer; something that really doesn't exist in 3.5, so I went with Rogue and put skill points in a bunch of knowledge and craft skills and gave him all the crafting specific feats, also exotic weapon proficiency for cannon and firearms.
Derrik Alhambra:
100% paladin. He (and his fellow templars) venerate Saint Celestine even though the Anglish Empire has done its damndest to deny any sort of involvement with the Golden Lady and her Saints. Even though he was part of a larger mercenary band, he received a stipend from the Anglish Empire. He's a cautious type, and favors turtling.
Tsubame Kojirou:
A healthy blend of swashbuckler and rogue. Descended from Sasaki's sister. During the Second Subjugation of the Yamato the Kojirou Clan swore to liberate and drive off the Anglish Empire and restore Yamato's sovereignty at any cost. They went from revolutionaries to terrorists, from terrorists to pirates. They patrol the waters of the Yamato islands looking for easy targets. The Kojirou believe they're descended from the Oni, a mythical race that doesn't actually exist, and they like to wear Oni masks in their raids on Anglish ships. Even though Sasaki was disowned and exiled, Tsubame reveres Sasaki as a "true" Kojirou. Aldric has fought against Tsubame in several naval battles, and although he knows her, she doesn't know him from that time.
See you next week.
