Now that these test were finished, brother wolf told me to go back to school. His reasoning was that nobody will become a powerhouse without having experienced various things. So, my first task today is to renew my status plate.

Contrary to the various novels out there, having a status plate here don’t automatically show your stats. Rather, you go to the territory lord, tell them your level and the level of your skills and finally do a demonstration of your skills.

While you can lie about your abilities, as the status plate serve as an id, as well as a proof of status ( the better your stats on the plate, the stronger your status) and delimit the criteria for enrollments to school as well as for work, due to that, people generally renew their status once per levels.

This morning, while driving an energy car (new types of cars made after the Great War and using the user’s energy, seeds or beast cores in place of fuel) that was given to me by brother wolf yesterday as a means of travelling to town ( Well, even if due to advancement in technology almost all vehicles are in auto-pilot, making it so that even kids can drive and making driver’s licenses obsoletes, a poor girl like me obviously never rode a private car so i took most of yesterday learning how to use it), I arrived at the territory lord’s office.

The territory lord. The highest position in the entire region. It’s said that to become one, the minimum requirements is to be at lv7. Well, that have nothing to do with me, as while this place is called the territory lord’s office, my task is just a common one, needing a clerk at most. So, after paying the money necessary to renew my status plate, I entered the testing room. There, a clerk sat on a desk and I gave her my previous plate and told her my current stats. Hearing my odd stats, the clerk seemed surprised for a moment before calming down. After finishing that, I walked to the last room, not minding the fact that the clerk secretly quitted the room. After all, brother wolf already gave me a faction emblem (an emblem that prove that you’re a member of a certain faction) as such, anybody who dare cause trouble to me must first weight if it’s worth antagonizing my backing.

That’s why brother wolf told me that there’s no need to hide anything. So, I entered the room for practical test.

The door opening, a butler entered followed by the clerk that recorded suzu’s abilities.

“Well, there’s one girl, she made a status renewal, and despite the previous plate being empty and dated of last year, she currently is lv3” btl

“Well, that isn’t so rare. The first few levels are more a question of wealth rather than talents. See my youngest son, despite his talents, he still attained level 3 by making him have as much seeds as his talent can use.” Tl

Embarrassed, the clerk respond: “I don’t know. After hearing about her from this clerk, I watched her practical test but while she possessed a faction emblem, I didn’t recognize it. And thinking that maybe it’s a neighborhood emblem, I did a little research but found nothing. Then, thinking about the fact that she didn’t appear worried about showing so much, I thought that she may be a member of a powerful faction so I did my research about a powerful faction having a similar emblem but none of the know powerful factions had a remotely similar emblem. In fact, the emblem depict a wolf head and it seems that there’s currently no know factions having a wolf themed emblem in the entire northern continent as the emblem of the continental master is a wolf and as such, since nobody ever saw his emblem, whenever a new faction have a wolf themed emblem, the surrounding factions warn it to change the emblem just in case it overlap with his in with case will cause problems. So, my guess is that she’s most certainly the member of a new faction made by a new faction leader ranked. That explain why I didn’t found anything about it. Also, he’s probably a low ranked one to not know the troubles of making his emblem a wolf. And either an idiot one that don’t understand the dangers of showing off or somebody that use her as a tool to attract our attention” btl

“Since that’s the case, let’s greet that girl.” Tl

“Before that, I have a few clarifications”???

Surprised, she shouted “who’s that!” while turning and preparing to attack but stopped net, or rather was forced to stop net because while she turned around, she was frozen in place. Evidently, the butler as well as the clerk didn’t dare attack. After all, the trespasser just defeated their leader in an instant.

Then, the ice shattered and while terrified, the territory lord asked: “w-who are you?”

“Me, I’m just the faction leader of the girl that you just discussed. And seeing as you’ve made erroneous guess about me, I decided to show up to resolve the misunderstanding. Firstly, I’m not a fool that doesn’t know the dangers of showing off nor do I sue her as a tool to attract the attention of weaklings like you. Rather, I’m confident that no matter what happen, nothing will happen to her.

Secondly, it’s not that I don’t know about the unwritten rule about making a wolf one’s emblem. After all, that rule came because I made my emblem a wolf in the first place. And after I told you that much, I think you should understand who I am” powerful guy

While stunned, she ended blurting: “t-the c-continental master!!! Why would somebody as esteemed as you come to this backwater place” and only regained her senses when the butler pulled her to prostrate on the ground. (and the scared clerk hurriedly follow suite despite being completely lost about the situation)

“Well, as the territory lord, you should have received instructions from your predecessors, no?” continental master

‘All he told me is to never offend the lord of frost mansion. Saying that it’s the house of the area’s first territory lord and even if he broke thought long ago, he still live there from times to times. Master, you should have told me that the owner of that mansion is the continental master.’ Tl

“Seems that you understand. Now, weren’t you on your way to do something?” cm

“Yes, right away” and while saying that, they scuttled out of the room. Once outside of the room, the trio collapsed to the ground.

“I thought I was going to die” tl

“Who the hell was that guy? He’s too powerful” clerk

“He’s one of the continental masters. He’s somebody that someone like us cannot even deign to fathom. So, as he’s said, we still have work to do” tl

“You still intend to go meet that girl?” btl

“Does I have any other choice, he clearly told us to go to that girl. And I’m not stupid enough to refuse. Also, that may be an opportunity to cling to powerful tight” tl
