Chapter 714:
Under the stark, white light, Allison’s beauty was almost otherworldly, like a figure carved from marble. Yashiro stared at her, half convinced she was bluffing.
Allison tilted her head slightly, her lips curving into a cold smirk. “I’m suggesting you show a bit more kindness,” she said, her tone light but laced with menace.
She gestured casually toward his blind side, her eyes glinting with a quiet threat. “Because if you don’t, the next thing you lose won’t stop at an eye.”
Yashiro’s fury erupted like a storm as he heard Allison’s harsh words, his voice booming. “What on earth did you just say?” Few things rattled him more than remarks about his missing eye. The woman before him had struck a nerve, and with rage boiling over, he lunged forward, his fist cutting through the air, aimed straight at Allison.
Yet, as if fate played a cruel joke, Allison’s hands, once bound, were somehow free.
With the agility of a cat, she sidestepped his blow, and her palm connected with his face in a resounding slap, leaving him spitting blood onto the cold floor.
“Not only are you heartless,” she said, shaking her wrist as if testing its readiness. “But you’ve got no manners either, hitting a woman. Looks like you drew the shortest straw by crossing paths with me.”
Yashiro froze, clutching his throbbing cheek, disbelief painted across his face. A woman — a mere woman — had dared to strike him.
Fuming, he yanked the gun from his waistband and pointed it at Allison, his hand trembling with rage.
“Do you even know what you’re doing, you bastard? I’ve been using guns since before you could tell the barrel from the butt!” But before he could fire, Allison’s movements blurred like a shadow in the moonlight. Her hand clamped onto his wrist with iron precision.
Her other hand pressed firmly on the safety catch, rendering the weapon useless.
Her speed was uncanny, like thunder striking without warning, leaving him utterly paralyzed.
“This cannot be real!” Yashiro stammered, his disbelief painted across his scarred face.
He prided himself on being the fastest shot in the room, but here she was, shattering that illusion in an instant.
In a flash, Allison drove her elbow into his jaw with the force of a sledgehammer.
“Ugh…” A guttural groan escaped his lips as two of his teeth flew out, accompanied by a crimson spray of blood. He crumpled to the floor, his voice weak and desperate. “Help… someone… help me…”
