Chapter 390

CHAPTER 390

She got to know Madeline in Worrick. Then, while she was searching for the fourth person who was hiking with her parents, Caitlin heard that the person had appeared in Worrick after she had been to a few countries, and she immediately flew to Worrick.

Since she was unfamiliar with the country, she would often seek private investigators' help, and in Worrick, she found Oasis Law Office and befriended Madeline and Leigh.

Although she and Madeline started off in a collaborative relationship, they became good friends after spending some time together.

After Madeline came to Dusktown, she met Quincy and Joel's biological father, and Caitlin had already heard of her decision to live in Dusktown when they were chatting over the phone.

On this trip to Dusktown, she planned to look for Madeline and Leigh to catch up after she had settled down. But it was as though they were fated to meet, so much so that even before she visited Madeline, they had already bumped into each other.

"Yes!" Joel bobbed his head in agreement. "Mommy likes you, and so do we. We are really destined to be friends!"

Caitlin smiled softly. "I like you and Aldo, too."

"Miss Caitlin, are they your friends?" Joel gestured at Lucian and Gilbert with his tiny hand, who was in a fight with Grayson and Fred.

Following his finger, she glanced and answered, "Yes, one of them."

"Will you tell your friend not to fight anymore, Miss Caitlin?" Joel asked. "One man fighting with them is my second uncle, and another is the bodyguard protecting Aldo and me. So I'll tell Uncle Grayson and Fred not to fight with your friends, and you'll ask your friends not to fight with them, okay?"

Although his explanation was a little lengthy, Caitlin understood what he meant.

"Oh, he's your uncle? We'll tell them to stop fighting, then." She ruffled his hair and shouted to Gilbert, "Gill, stop fighting."

Joel also called to Grayson and Fred, "Uncle Grayson, Fred, stop fighting. They're Miss Caitlin's friends. We should be friendly to each other and not fight!"

The four men who were fighting all stepped back the instant Caitlin and Joel's words registered in their minds.

Joel ambled over to Grayson, held his hand, and pointed at Caitlin. "Uncle Grayson, look. She's Miss Caitlin and a good friend of Mommy's. We should let bygones be bygones since we're family, so we should cherish and not fight each other, okay?"

A dumbfounded Grayson thought, We should let bygones be bygones? Are we family? Is that even close to describing the situation now? We don't even know each other!

Nevertheless, that wasn't the point now. The main issue now was that the other party was his sister-in- law's friend, and it would be inappropriate to continue fighting with them.

"Alright, we won't fight, but she has to apologize!" Lucian shot an icy glare at Ann. "She insulted Caitlin. She should apologize to Caitlin!"

"Did you scold Miss Caitlin?" Joel turned to Ann in bewilderment. "Why did you scold Miss Caitlin? She's a nice person, and we all like her very much!"

At the sight of Quincy and Joel, it took everything in Ann to stop herself from choking them to death.

Recently, she had been doing terribly. Even though she had found an excuse to move into Grayson's apartment, Sebastian had sent two so-called 'personal assistants' to keep an eye on her.

Like the ghosts of a haunted mansion, the assistants would brazenly stand next to them whenever she was next to Grayson. Even when she shouted at them to scram, they would simply ignore her.

She turned on the waterworks and asked Grayson to drive them out, but that weakling Grayson said that they were sent by his brother with kind intentions, so he couldn't disobey him.

She became utterly infuriated by his words and wondered why Grayson, the useless weakling, was in love with her and not Sebastian instead?

How amazing would it be if it was Sebastian who was in love with her?!

If it were him, then Grayson, Kieran, and Lucas would all bow down to her and listen to every word she said.

But, unlike now, out of the four Hart brothers, Grayson was the only one willing to care about her. Kieran was indifferent toward her, while Lucas couldn't even be bothered with her. The most terrible of

all, Sebastian wouldn't even meet her!

During this period, she almost lost her mind from the rage, and there were no walls that could keep words out.

Some *sshole had leaked the news that she was driven out of the Hart Family, and all her friends and acquaintances from before would snicker when they saw her, their eyes filled with ridicule and contempt.

Since she was unable to bear those disdain-filled stares, she couldn't wait to change her predicament immediately.

Right now, she was no longer the cousin of the Hart Family. Since Philip and Sebastian refused to care about her, the only way she could change her predicament was to marry Grayson.

Despite that, the personal assistants—one man and one woman—that Sebastian sent to them were watching Grayson closely like a hawk, leaving her no chance to flirt with him and completely destroying her relationship with him. Due to this, she almost passed out in anxiety.

Today, she had accidentally overheard Grayson's call, saying that Sebastian wanted to introduce Madeline and her two b*stard children to his childhood buddies, and she was overwhelmed with jealousy.

Although she grew up in the Hart Family and was Sebastian's cousin, he had never brought her to meet his friends.

One must know that Sebastian's friends were the heirs to the top families of Dusktown, and all were

dashing and incredibly wealthy.

If she could make it into their circle and become the little princess that they adored, she would be the envy of every woman in the city.

Frankly, she should have had those things in her grasp since she lived close to the Harts. If only Sebastian were willing to introduce her to his buddies, she would naturally become their childhood friend, too.

But he never did that. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

When they were young, she would cry and make a scene, begging Sebastian to take her along to meet his friends, but he remained unmoved.

After they were grown up, she devised all sorts of schemes. Still, Sebastian was even sharper than the demon himself, and no matter what trick she pulled, he was always able to leave her behind, making it impossible for her to even know anyone from his inner circle.

Now, Sebastian actually wanted to bring another woman to meet his closest friends!

She was so bitter that she wanted to murder someone, specifically that harlot, Madeline.

What gave her the right? The one who grew up together with Sebastian was her. What gave that woman named Madeline Taylor the right to snatch everything that should have been hers?!

In the past, she was in love with Sebastian and wanted to marry him, so she didn't dare to be too close to Grayson, lest everyone else would get the wrong idea.

Since she had already decided that she would marry him, she could naturally saunter after him and integrate into the circle of wealthy heirs.

If Madeline could meet Sebastian's buddies, so could she!

For that reason, she came up with the excuse to deliver food for Grayson and came to Club Tempest before giving him a call.

Grayson invited her upstairs just as she wished, and her heart bloomed in delight. Still, she feigned arrogance and only accepted the invitation after declining a few times.

Who would have guessed that they had just stepped into the lobby when a woman suddenly came out of nowhere and dashed right into Grayson's chest and hugged him?

It was only natural for her to explode in displeasure. The man was hers!

If this shameless sl*t thought that she could get Grayson's attention by using such a cheap trick, then she couldn't be more wrong!
