Magician Rankings
Acolyte - Defines a magic user who has found a teacher that can establish the foundational training for the magic they wish to learn. They may already know how to cast an unstable form of the magic they wish to learn but it is apparent that they hold sufficient mana to wield magic.
Disciple - Magic users in this level can now properly conjure and control a low level form of the magic they wish to master. The magic they can conjure at this level can be made more potent due to stability but most users at this level still lack the knowledge to hone in on the effects and duration of their spell. Some exceptional students can overcome this hurdle while still unable to further increase the area of effect and consecutive use which is necessary to continue to the next stage.
Vicar - One is considered a fully learned magus once they reach this rank as the magic they wield is now fully understood to the point of being tuned as the user sees fit. Though they still have much to learn about their new found power the magic user at this stage can begin to make their spells more efficient and effective. There are those who still need more time to hone their mana manipulation before entering the next stage.
Cardinal - The magus at this rank can target at more incredible distances than before and apply lasting effects to the target of their spells. Their mana capacity is also now noted as being above average for a magic caster.
Saint - Basic magic is now a passive effort for those at this rank. Magic users at this rank have likely acquired the mental and mana capacity to cast magic without the need to speak a chant. At this rank the user has several personal signature spells for the magic they have mastered.
Prophet - Direct apprentice of a god of the user’s magic. This rank also symbolizes someone who has made strides in spreading the usage and discipline of their chosen magic. Those who can cast spells at an even greater level than saints can also be considered to be in this category.
God - Title granted to individuals with overwhelming power granted by their dominion over their chosen magic.
