Second Coin Toss
I do not trample

I do not trample

I do not trample stories underneath my feet,

But make them live in times to come.

For what the human mind retains

Echoes onwards through the world.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

One step at a time, forever changing,

But at the core remain the same,

The spirit state of man reflecting;

Both life and spirit kept in check.

The whisper night and day to me,

While at the dollhouse window looking,

They call to me: "Always remember!"

The princess has awoken once again.

The world lives through them perpetually,

As minds remember what the past has been

We write them down, and keeping with tradition,

Reciting them with ever-trembling lips.
