Sophie was no longer in the classroom. Instead, she was in a small brick house. The house was simplistically designed: There was a dining table, a kitchen, a fireplace and a bed. The furniture was carved by hand from nice wood, a handknit carpet covered the floor, and family photos were hanging on the walls. Next to the fireplace was the kitchen, and standing in the kitchen was a pig. He stood on two legs, was dressed like a handyman, and was in the middle of cooking dinner.

This was just like in the story Sophie had been reading! Had she been sucked into the story? If she had, she knew there was supposed to be more than one pig around. Suddenly she heard someone knocking frantically on the door of the house.

"Let us in! Let us in! He's coming! He's going to eat us!" someone yelled from the other side of the door.

The handyman pig ran over to the solid wooden door and opened it. Three little pigs came stumbling in through the door, falling on their snouts. They were dressed very differently from the handyman pig. The three new pigs were wearing loose and baggy clothes that reminded Sophie of what her mother called "relaxation clothes" – the kind of stuff you might wear at home when you had no intention of going outside that day.

The three pigs quickly got to their feet, then dove under the dinner table, with all three of their butts poking out from under the tablecloth.

The handyman pig locked the door after them. Now all four pigs were inside the brick house.

Four pigs... That can't be right, Sophie thought.

She knew that there had only been three pigs in the story that she had just read [https://img.wattpad.com/ae1b391f8e2132936fa1a69187f99b5e3a6fd5a2/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f6c2d6e376b3570326179786542773d3d2d313235363530303339382e313730396263643130363764373331663334313839363039383833362e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]

She knew that there had only been three pigs in the story that she had just read. Suddenly, one of the three pigs hiding under the dining table simply disappeared.

What just happened!? Sophie thought. Why did one of the pigs disappear?

Then she remembered what Ignortus had said. "Find all the errors." So, had the extra pig been one of the errors she was supposed to find? Were there going to be changes to the story, and now she had to make it right?

The handyman pig walked over to the two remaining pigs who were still cowering under the dining table.

"So what happened now?"

"Oh! It was terrible!" came a reply from under the table.

"My lovely house! My lovely house of straw!" said one of the pigs under the table.

"And my lovely house of sticks!" said the other pig under the table.

"The Big Bad Wolf came, and he blew our houses down!"

"It's true! What horror! And what a stench! Who would have thought that the Big Bad Wolf's farts were so powerful! He pooted and he tooted and he blew our houses down!"

Sophie laughed. "No, THAT'S not right!" The three pigs didn't seem to be able to hear her, though.

"The wolf doesn't FART at the houses. He just blows and blows at them until they fall over!" she said out loud. Now she was sure what was going on. The errors she was looking for were the changes to the story. And right on schedule, the pigs stopped talking about the wolf's farts and started talking about his powerful lungs.

"I hope neither of you looked into the wolf's eyes?"

Sophie looked at the handyman pig, puzzled. "Why aren't they supposed to look into its eyes?" That bit HAD been in the story she'd just read, but they'd never said why.

The two pigs under the table shook their heads, and the handyman pig let out a sigh of relief.

"Didn't I tell you, though... If you'd just worked harder when you were building your houses, the Big Bad Wolf would never have been able to blow them down!"

"We're sorry! But won't you please let us stay with you?" the pigs under the table pleaded.

"Of course you can stay. After all, I'm your brother, and you should always take care of your family."

Flushed with relief, the two pigs got up from the floor and embraced their brother.

"Oh, thank you, dear brother! And if you're ever in trouble yourself, you can be sure that we'll stand by you!"

Someone knocked noisily on the front door. The two lazy pigs jumped up in the air with fear, then hid behind their brother.

A deep, scary, and cruel voice rang out through the entire house. Sophie felt chills running down her spine.

"Is this where you're hiding, little piggies?" said the cruel voice from the other side of the door. "I've hunted you from place to place, but now this game is starting to bore me. So let me in... Or I might get angry."

The handyman pig bravely walked up to the door.

"Nothing good will come from letting you in here. But what's the Big Bad Wolf doing here in the first place? I thought you preferred to roam the human world."

They heard an angry growl from outside. "I have been shut out of the world of humans, and you fat piggies are the closest thing to human flesh that I can find in the magical world. So now I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house down!"

Sophie could hear the wind itself change directions as the wolf started sucking in air to fill his lungs. A massive gust of wind hit against the walls of the house. Through the windows she could see trees bending in the wind, stones rolling across the fields, and the handyman pig's wet clothes being blown off the clothesline.

But the house still stood.

The wolf drew in another big breath, and another massive gust of wind hit the walls of the house. Trees were knocked over, small rocks went flying into the sky, and the pig's drying rack was ripped from the ground outside and flew away. But the house itself was still intact.

A third time she heard the wolf draw air into its lungs. When it blew at the house, it was like being hit by a hurricane. It was so powerful that the clouds in the sky were blown away. But the house still stood.

"Curse you, pigs! I'll get you somehow!" the wolf yelled furiously, scratching at the door and the walls.

"Ha! He'll never get in here!" the pigs cheered.

But are they sure about that? Sophie wondered [https://img.wattpad.com/34be45679468b5327b233095433f7ab9eca2f716/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f2d79765f6d676d595a6f2d6c37673d3d2d313235363530303339382e313730396263646439333364623236373332383934353737363534382e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]

But are they sure about that? Sophie wondered.

The wolf was still circling around the house, and this was as far as Sophie had had time to read. And it had been years and years since she'd last heard the story, so she couldn't quite remember how it ended.

Sophie was lying in her bed with the duvet pulled up over her head [https://img.wattpad.com/8c8906bfb2eff326a3f9cd52b86ce8ec6d8acc52/68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f767862706948304a73664a7570673d3d2d313235333934313835302e313733663230616534623765333861363936343636313337343032322e706e67?s=fit&w=1280&h=1280]
