Mira sighs as she throws the last remaining piece of meat out of the castle. She stretches her back. "I'm doing all of this work while he does what? Fight a Dragon?!" She wipes the sweat from her forehead as the mountain shakes. Looking up, she sees rocks and debris falling down, causing her to quickly head inside. She closes the castle's door as the shockwaves and shakes continue.
She wanders around the empty castle, realizing that Alatar and she never really inspect every room since they rushed to clear out the entire place of those baby dragons. "There was no way I was going to eat those babies; I kinda feel bad for them now, considering what they really were. They were just trying to protect what they believed was their home, and we just stepped in and mercilessly killed them." She enters a room, realizing it's a huge kitchen. She searches around the kitchen. "It has to be here! Where could it be?" She says as her stomach growls. As she continues the search, she trips over something but uses the wall to catch herself. Looking down, she sees that it's a hatch for flooring. She lifts it up as dust fills the air, causing her to cough up a storm. She sniffs the air as salt hits her nose. "Found it~," She says with a purr.
Heading down the dark depths, she finds multiple barrels of salt and even small tubs with what she believes to be salt water. She digs through the first barrel and finds something scaley and slimy. Her face is uncomfortable as she pulls out the salt-covered fish. "Okay! Now, I have to whip this bad boy into shape, and I'll have a little snack!" She says, carrying the fish upstairs into the kitchen.
Everything goes horribly wrong as she begins to cook the food. The pan she uses catches on fire, and in a panic, she tries to fan it out, causing the fire to spread onto the kitchen wall. "How!?" She says, looking around for water. She runs outside and scoops her snow up using her dress as she frantically tosses it at the fire. She slides down the wall in defeat. Knowing she was always a lousy cook, she waits for Alatar to return as her stomach growls for food. "This couldn't possibly get any worse.." She hears muffled shouting coming from outside. "Oh, come on!" She says with a groan.
Heading up to the third floor, she looked out the window and saw a lone figure heading toward the castle. Their shouts were muffled and unintelligible. "Is that Alatar?...No...He is never that loud?" She starts to think as she heads downstairs, making her way to the castle door. "Could someone already have made their way up the mountain? How did they even get past the baby dragons? Especially alone." Three loud bangs are heard, breaking her train of thought. Mira backs away slightly. "If they get me, we're done." She looks up, wondering where Alatar is, as Jaida's words enter her mind. "Mira, you must prepare to get your hands bloody." She shakes her head to regain confidence. The door bangs again as she stares it down. Her breathing becomes faster, and her senses heighten as adrenaline flows through her blood.

She opened the door and saw a man wrapped in a massive wolf cloak. "Your Majesty." He says, taking a kneel. "I've come from the Bronze Castle as an ambassador for Princess Lyra. She seeks an alliance with you and your Shadow." Mira sighed, trying to calm herself down. "Stand, Ishan. We are both nobles." He stands as he towers over Mira. Looking down at her."That may be so, but you are still in a hierarchy above me. So I will treat you as such." Mira nods as she lets Ishan in. "How and why did you get here so quickly?" She says, leading him to the kitchen.
They sit at the table as Ishan looks at the stove and the wall. "What happened-." Mira waves her hands at him to stop him from questioning it. "Alatar can't cook!" Ishan looks at her, puzzled for a second. "Well...when you and your Shadow were thrown through the portal, some of the members of the Gold Kingdom were followed by Xeriah's people. I saw Shadows die before we even made it to our portal. We wanted to check and see if you two made it and were safe. I got here by simply climbing the mountain. I had some trouble since the entire mountain was shaking. I assume that is what your Shadow is doing?"
Mira looked at the table as she subconsciously scratched the wood, digging into it. "The Iron Kingdom's Shadows attacked the Golds' right?" She asks, looking up at Ishan. He nods as she continues. "They attack almost immediately, meaning they weren't in shock. Nor did they have any command from the sound of it." Ishan looks to the side, thinking, "It was hard to hear amongst all the screaming, but I'm almost certain that I didn't hear any of the Royals of Iron make such a command."
"Then that means Xeriah has this previously planned and is working with Alexander to ensure he has an advantage in this event, but what advantage? Killing some Shadows would weaken the Golds somewhat, but not enough to really have them lose that easily." Mira says as the entire castle shakes once again. Ishan looks around, "This place is much more fortified than ours. Our castle is made of wood...I doubt it could handle this type of force." He takes a deep breath as he closes his eyes. "Here's what Princess Asha wanted me to propose to you two. We willingly offer ourselves to you. It will bolster your numbers and allow you and your Shadow to gang an edge ov-." Mira glares at him and stops him immediately. "No."
Looking a little more desperate, Ishan pleads once again. "Your Majesty! If not, we won't be able to survive this event; mere survival is all I want for Asha...so..." Mira looked down as her face softened, and a frustrated sigh left her mouth. "I will not have other Royals become slaves. We will become an alliance and will not subjugate one another. We will dispose of the Prince of Iron, his Royals, and his Shadows. When Alatar returns, we will return to your base. Have you defeated your beast yet?" She asks Ishan. "No, we haven't. We've been clearing out our castle of wolves and plant life. I sent my Shadow to search for its lair, and Kai sent his own Shadow to do some scouting to find the Iron and Gold castle. I don't know when they'll be back." Ishan says as he smiles with relief.
Mira holds her hand out. "Then that settles it. You help us deal with Xeriah, and we will help you survive the event, but that also means you will be indebted to the Diamond Kingdom for any future endeavors. Think of it as owing a favor you cannot deny." Ishan nods as he shakes her hand.
