Boom.
A small black pellet launched itself towards Eldar.
Eldar, obviously unprepared could only shift slightly to the left to dodge it.
"Do not use the body. Use the sword." That was all the old man had told him before he left him alone in the stone cave.
Boom.
Another black pellet arrived.
Eldar used his sword to block it. The impact pushed his sword back a bit but he managed.
Clang.
The sound of the bullet meeting metal sounded. The sounds of release had been forcefully turned off.
Clang.
Eldar grunted as a bullet hit a back.
Clang.
In the darkness Eldar struggled to use his sword to block 2 bullets at once from differing sides.
Clang.
Eldar looked at his blade, its silver shine was his only light in the darkness.
Clang.
Clang.
Eldar smiled but not before screaming in agony.
Three black pellets had launched into his body.
Eldar quickly stood up to deflect the pellets. The struggle was the multi-process,
1. Realizing the locations.
2. Blocking in order of arrival.
3. Not losing momentum.
Eldars body ached after what could only have been hours of torture.
"You gonna let me leave now?"
Eldar looking into the darkness.
"You can let yourself leave"
Eldar sighed as he realized the impact of that sentence. He would have to deflect the black pellets till the exit to leave.
At first it was the usual 3. Then 4. Then 5. Then- you get the point. Eldars body could only take so much until he returned to where the pellets were sparser. After god knows how long a small package of food was thrown into the middle.
----------------------------------------
It had been days. The pellets woke Eldar up and bruised him badly. The darkness had allowed Eldar to sense the pellets better. Turn off one sense, upgrade four. Eldar only heard the sounds of clanging and the pain of impact for days. And days merged into weeks and weeks gathered into months.

Clang.
Clang.
Clang.
Clang.
Clang.
Clang.
"Is that all?" Eldars hoarse voice echoed slightly.
Eldar left towards the exit. His overgrown hair was revealed in the darkness along with his rough body.
"Did you enjoy it?" The old man spoke with a chuckle.
Eldar opened his mouth but the cavern blackened.
"Because that was only the beginning."
Clang.
Clang.
Instincts kicked in but so did the black pellets.
Eldar grunted from the pain however he quickly stood back up. Eldars sword moved like a flash. It was as if someone connected 5 dots when his sword moved around from place to place. The dark room was normal to him now and so were the pellets.
The amount of pellets could not even be counted since now instead of moving in groups of 3 they moved in continuous streams. It was like the difference between a pistol and a machine gun.
Eldars hands were numb and his body exhausted but he kept moving his blade. He had to.
'Left.Right.Back.Forward.' Eldar did not say this in his mind.
If he did, he would've become slow in the darkness long ago.
Instead, Eldar moved from checkpoint to checkpoint until he reached the end.
The end indeed.
The cavin lit up once again. The piles of the pellets on the ground shocked even Eldar.
"Congratulations."
Eldar sat down in the corner. His legs had given in and his hands were too numb to be felt.
"You can fight and block however you are a sitting turtle."
Eldar tilted his head in confusion.
"Come outside."
The outside had been masked in layers of pure white snow. Thousands of snowflakes and snow drops fell from the sky and landed on the ground softly.
Eldars body shivered under the cold but he kept walking.
"Dodge."
Eldar could only hear before he found himself instinctively blocking a large double crescent.
'Bad.'
Boom.
Eldar was sent flying back into the snow.
"I said dodge."
Eldar did not make the same mistake and rolled to the right.
A double cross flew past where he had just been and a small collision sounded behind Eldar.
In the falling snow, a green eyed demon was visible. He bore two swords and he made a stance.
Eldar once again dashed and rolled however he was exhausted and met his fate several times.
"Gah."
Eldar shouted in anger and agony.
"So are you gonna teach me or just endlessly bully me?"
"It depends."
Eldar tilted his head impatiently.
"Do you want to learn."
Elder met eyes with the old man.
"You think?"
The old man chuckled heartily before telling him.
"You will learn. If I teach you my teachings then you will just produce another half-assed ability like your side-splitter. It is original but by no means strong or effective. On the other hand if you improvise and create your own step-technique then maybe you can create potential to emulate, not to improvise."
The old man released another energy wave.
A large wave of snow flew from the shockwave.
Eldar dashed to the right again however a large impact hit his side.
Eldar found his body in the snow as he groaned.
Boom.
Bang.
Boom.
Bang.
'This bastard. He's making it just out of my range.'
The old man had been releasing energy waves just centimeters from Eldars maximum dodging distance.
Eldar calmed his mind.
'Sword energy. It's still energy. So I'll just put it in my legs? That doesn't even make sense. Whatever, I gotta try.'
Eldar tried to move the aura to his legs.
The old man sent another energy wave but Eldar kept his concentration firm.
'Now.'
Boom.
Eldar was sent flying back.
Time passed.
The old man sent another energy wave but Eldar kept his concentration firm.
'Now.'
Boom.
The snow behind Eldar exploded.
Eldar himself had found himself on the right. His right leg skidded in an angle when he landed from his burst.
"What's that?" The old man asked in surprise.
"Nothing new, I call it Instinct burst."
Eldar rubbed the back off his hair as he looked up and whistled.
"Pretty fancy."
The old man sent out another energy wave.
Boom.
More snow exploded.
Eldar landed again as his right leg skidded to catch himself. from his momentum.
"What did you expect from an ancient race?" Eldar smirked.
"I told you, your sword-energy techniques wouldn't work. Humans put the sword-energy into their body and control it with their functions. I on the other hand, can move the energy to my will, I don't need to put it in my body. I can just direct it to do things that would damage you however for me it is not connected. So in other words, this is a technique only I can perform."
Eldar lay down.
