Training 1

"Fight him."

The northern winds brushed Eldars hair as he stood firmly on a large grey rock expanse. The land was flat and a katana was firmly in his right hand. His mutilated left arm was hidden in a sleeve.

"But that's a monkey."

"Did I stutter?"

"Okay..."

Eldar squinted his eyes as he did confirm a monkey in front of him.

Eldar rose his sword slowly but before he could even move it down a centimeter.

Bang.

Eldar felt the air leave his stomach as he flew backwards. The hard impact on his stomach definitely left a bruise or two.

Eldar panted as the northern wind kept his cheeks cold. Eldar heard the old man talking as he tried to regain his breath.

"That's your new training partner, be nice and when you manage to beat him. I'll let you move on."

Eldar stood up solemnly. The burn marks around his neck sent a small sizzle almost as if it were warning him to win or else.

"Last time was just a fluke."

Eldar charged and swung his sword from right to left. He heard the sword cut air before he felt its momentum stop or rather get gripped.

"Eh?"

Bang.

A black fist silhouette met Eldars face as he was once again sent soaring back.

The old man left with a chuckle.

"Enjoy yourself."

Eldar gritted his teeth as he got back up again.

"It won't even take a minute."

----------------------------------------

I've been training for two months now.

I'm not fighting a monkey. When we lock eyes, I feel like the primitive beast in the relationship.

His body creates sparks when I strike it, I can control my sword better now however I either block and get launched back or attack and get launched back.

I've become a purple dalmation lately due to my bruises and I'm tired of it.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Today will be my true vengeance.

I've been training for three months now.

My body has evolved by leaps and bounds and my sword skill has advanced to consistent parries, strong blocks and smooth and swift swings.

But it's not enough. My hands still go numb when our attacks collide. I'd rather jump back into the swamp then try and fight this thing to the death.

But despite my depression and rants I think I may have a plan...

I've been training for four months now. I finally got the old man to teach me a real skill. Like a quick draw. He says he'll teach me it today.

I've learnt the skill. It's an attack that is used by apparently every swordsman ever. The air blade. However he only knows the cross blade which is the 2SS Variation. I need to make it my own and I need to find a way to make up for my lack of power and control due to using only one hand.

I've created my own skill. I named it Side-Splitter. I might have a chance of beating the damn monkey now.

I've gone for another round and I've returned with another 20 bruises. Great...

I've learnt the original air wave. It's weak but its classy.

I've been training for 5 months now. I've mastered parrying, blocking, a good bit of control and the original air wave. My side-splitter is good because it is a diagonal slash however it doesn't have enough power. Nothing I do does. I can only produce a slightly above average amount of sword-energy due to my situation and I need strength, raw strength.

I've found the solution. Maybe.

----------------------------------------

Eldar closed his diary as he sharpened his katana. His body foundations had grew immensely since his arrival yet the devastating amount of bruises he possessed had remained around the same for the past 5 months. Until today. Hopefully..

Eldar arrived at his familiar cliff and raised his sword.

Eldar started off with an air wave. The monkey caught it with its two hands until its power vanished but Eldar was already in front of the monkey.

Eldar move his right arm up and then down.

In an instant, his sword had disappeared to his left leg.

The monkey took no damage as sparks flew from its iron skin but Eldar had already made it switch to a defensive position. Utilizing his adrenaline and advantage Eldar released a clean blow with the side of his blade channeled with sword energy. The impact blasted the monkey 3 footsteps back and gave both of them time to catch a breath.

The monkey realized the damage was nothing serious and charged this time.

Eldar blocked the punch and was sent 2 footsteps back.

More fists arrived but Eldar blocked them all. The impact numbed his hand and pushed him back but he could still fight.

Eldar dodged to the right and released a side blow to the monkeys head. The monkey felt the impact before it flew 3 feet right. The monkey landed on its feet and charged again. The two traded blows again, the monkey pushing Eldar back with a barrage and Eldar returning with a powerful impact to its head or body sending it back and giving him a break.

Eldar saw the monkey begin to charge but before it could do anything he was already flying in front of it.

Eldar could not even notice his toned blue arm with veins visible and blue sword energy overflowing before he hit the monkey with the strongest side-blow he had ever released right on its forehead.

Bang.

The monkey was sent hurling back into a rock..

Eldar panted as steams rose from his right arm and it returned to normal.

"How's that, you damn monkey."

Eldar rose his sword so that it was in front of his face.

The monkey soon came out of the rubble, it had a large dent on its forehead however it rubbed it and it returned to normal.

Eldar smirked as he met eyes with the monkey.

"I win."

The monkey waved goodbye at Eldar.

Eldar left in silence.

Before he too waved a little wave.

Eldar was about to knock on the old mans cabin however the old man spoke the first words.

"What was that."

"Energy overload." Eldar smirked. "What's the point of having sword energy in my left arm if I can't use it."

"I told you before, it's called aura not sword energy and that's dangerous."

"Maybe for you, old man. I'm an ancient race, it took the worlds strongest man just to beat a bunch of villagers."

"Sure Kid. Sure."

"You're still far from me." The old man placed a hand on Eldars shoulder. "But with this. You're a little bit closer."

Eldar had a small smile visible on his face.

"Come on, you don't want to miss the second part of your training."
