Prologue

I'm here to change your life, whether it's for better or worse, that's for you to decide~

This was the first sentence she told me, I never saw such a work of art before, her sparkling red hair stunned me and staring at her blue eyes felt like my empty soul was filled with kindness and love.

While still trying to recover from her dazzling beauty I asked her the first thing that came to mind,

Who are you?

She stared at me for a couple seconds as to think of what to say.

I'm Rose, a lonely spirit send to guide you to the correct path, or so they told me at least.

Rose? A spirit? They? Who are they? And what does she mean by correct path? So many questions filled my mind but even if I ask her I don't think I will get all the answers I want. There is one thing I really need to know however,

What do you mean by spirit?

Rose looked at me with a silly face, I'm sure she is making fun of me right now, she probably thinks I'm a fucking idiot for asking that.

They told me that you are a very interesting individual, I thought you would scream by now or even faint but you seem pretty calm about all this. I am a spirit, an entity living in the ethereal realm that once belonged to a body in this world. In simpler terms, I am the soul of a dead person.

"Interesting", is that really how I would describe myself? I consider myself ugly, I do not have a single talent, I am always depressed and I find it hard to socialize with people. Is that really "interesting" as she says? I don't know if I should believe this, could I be hallucinating? Maybe she is just an illusion.

You're thinking I'm fake aren't you? They said your mental state is a bit unstable and that you might think about that. I assure you I am as real as a spirit can be.

Spot on. I'll trust her for now, my life is pretty bad the way it is right now, how worse can it get at this point.

You mentioned guiding me to the correct path, what do you mean?

She placed her finger on her lips indicating that she was thinking about something, she turned to me after a couple of seconds.

Well, I'm here to help you live your life in a way that you can enjoy.

A way I can enjoy, seems too good to be true.

Are you done with the questions now?

She asked me while I was thinking to myself on how to comprehend everything she just said.

For now at least.

Once I said that she let out a deep sigh and sat down at my desk.

Aaaah, I'm so glad this worked out, all this "official" talk made me tired. I'm not used to talking seriously like that, I hope I didn't confuse you very much. Now, can you hold my hand for a second?

Her hand? Can spirits even touch physical objects? I didn't give it much thought and I grabbed her hand.

And with this, we will now seal the contract!

As she said that a bright light engulfed the room for a second.

Aaaaah, that was exhausting. From now on it is my job to make your life better!

She laid down on my bed and slept after that, this is getting interesting. I don't know if I'm crazy or not but for now, it seems like my days will be busier than usual.
