【Reward Received—Perception Ninjutsu】

【First Completion of Tutorial, Reward Received—Appraisal Technique】

【First Completion of an A-Rated Tutorial, Reward Received—Mastery in Fire Attribute Chakra Nature Transformation】

Mukai was pleasantly surprised to receive three rewards at once. He felt as if his brain was suddenly filled with many memories, most of which were about the practice of fire attribute chakra nature transformation.

The memories were incredibly vivid, making Mukai feel as though he had been a veteran ninja specializing in fire release techniques all his life.

"Teacher Yūsei, may I ask you a question?" Shisui asked respectfully.

Hearing Shisui's words, Mukai, who was about to review the panel's evaluation again, stopped. He took Shisui to a secluded spot behind the teaching building and used perception ninjutsu to sense the surroundings. Finding no particularly strong chakra signatures, Mukai relaxed and smiled, "Is it about something from the lesson you didn't understand? Go ahead, ask."

Shisui shook his head, "It's not about the lecture content. I have a doubt."

"You know, Teacher, the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan together founded Konoha. But why does everyone only remember the Senju clan and seldom mention the Uchiha clan's contributions?"

Despite being a child, Shisui was exceptionally mature and sensitive. When he went out with his elders, he could sense the strange looks of people on the street upon seeing their clan's emblem.

Both clans were founders of the village, yet why is it that the Uchiha's contributions are not only unmentioned but seem to be disliked by the villagers? Shisui didn't understand.

Looking at Shisui's puzzled face, Mukai thought to himself, "How can the reputation of Senju Hashirama in Konoha be compared to that of Uchiha Madara?"

"You've probably only read the history provided by your clan, right?" Mukai asked.

Shisui nodded, admitting that he only had access to the history provided by the Uchiha.

"The reason things are the way they are now involves a lot of events, too many to explain in a short time," Mukai said, showing a hint of difficulty.

Seeing Mukai's troubled expression, Shisui felt guilty, as if his question was more complex than he had imagined. He was about to drop the question when Mukai spoke again.

"Never mind, if you have time after school, come find me, and I'll tell you about the history," Mukai sighed.

"After all, I suppose I owe a debt of gratitude to the Uchiha clan. Consider it a repayment of that debt."

Shisui was puzzled. Why would Mukai owe their clan a debt? So, he asked directly.

"My parents were surrounded by enemies in a war and were saved by a ninja named Uchiha Kagami. Though they eventually died in later battles, I have always remembered this life-saving debt," Mukai said with a look of gratitude, improvising the story.

He was relieved that his original persona was already an orphan, which, in a way, provided more flexibility in his actions.

Indeed, sometimes the dead can be more useful than the living.

Shisui's eyes widened in disbelief. Uchiha Kagami was his grandfather, and he had not expected such a connection with Mukai. This revelation sparked a peculiar feeling within him.

However, Shisui was not the type to take advantage of someone's gratitude. He did not make a big deal out of it but simply thanked Mukai.

Before Shisui left, Mukai gave him a piece of advice, reinforcing their newfound bond and perhaps the beginning of a deep and meaningful relationship.

Mukai was walking back towards the academy's main building when he encountered another teacher, Ikeya Yu, known for her wisdom and gentle demeanor towards the students and faculty alike.

"Good evening, Mukai. How was your day?" Ikeya Yu asked with a warm smile, her eyes reflecting genuine interest.

Startled out of his introspections, Mukai turned towards her, his mind still partially occupied with the earlier conversation with Shisui. "It was enlightening, to say the least," he replied, managing a smile. "I had a rather interesting discussion with one of the students. It's fascinating how curious minds work."

Ikeya Yu nodded. "Yes, the students here have a way of surprising us with their depth of thought and curiosity. It's one of the joys of teaching, isn't it?" She paused for a moment She scanned Mukai's frame, "But remember, Mukai, it's also important to take a step back sometimes. We give so much of ourselves to this role, to our students, but we must also remember to increase our strength."

Mukai looked at her, acknowledging the truth in her words. "You're right, Ikeya Yu. It's easy to get caught up in the momentum of teaching and forget that we, too, are ninjas of the leaf."

Ikeya Yu's advice was generic, yet it carried the weight of experience. "Balance is key," she continued. "Just as we teach our students to find balance in their studies and village life, we must also practice it. Take time for yourself, enjoy the new role, but remember, no matter how busy we are, there's always a moment for improvement."

Mukai appreciated her words. In the world of ninjas, where personal needs can get overwhelming, personal strength is still paramount Ikeya Yu's reminder was a gentle nudge toward his mindset.

"Thank you, Ikeya Yu," Mukai said sincerely. "I'll keep that in mind."

With a final nod and a smile, Ikeya Yu continued on her way, leaving Mukai to ponder her words. Suddenly he thought of something.

"Hey Ikeya!” He called out to her. “I'm free tomorrow afternoon. If you need, I can cover for you." Mukai pulled his teaching plan out of his back pocket and showed it to her.

Unlike other teachers, Mukai wished he could have classes every day, especially since Class 4-2 had Obito and Might Guy; he was even more eager to check it out.

Ikeya Yu's face lit up with joy, she quickly thanked Mukai and promised to treat him to a meal when possible.

...

Inside the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, watched Mukai speak about the Will of Fire with a serious face through a crystal ball, stroking his goatee, feeling that this young Root member was not bad and understood the Will of Fire.

Danzo thought he was well hidden, but in reality, a part of the ninja raised by Root but not listed in Root's roster was already known to the Third.

However, the Third felt that Danzo was also cultivating strength for Konoha to some extent, and it was acceptable as long as it wasn't too excessive.

But the Academy was something the Third took seriously, so he checked it out, and unexpectedly, this Root ninja's first lesson was about the Will of Fire, establishing a sense of responsibility among the students, which the Third appreciated.

"Let's see his performance in the future. If he proves to be talented, we'll have him leave Root."

Mukai's current performance alone was not enough for the Third to demand his release from Danzo.

Although, in essence, Danzo's men were also his, the Third still had to consider his old classmate's feelings.

Thinking this, the Third stopped his Telescope Jutsu and started working on paperwork, planning to inspect Konoha again in the evening.

...

After eating, Shisui started looking for Mukai's place at the location given by him.

Mukai's residence was in the southeast part of Konoha, an area with sparse buildings, considered remote from the main city area.

Thanks to the few buildings around, Shisui quickly found Mukai's home, a simple single-story wooden house situated in a modest courtyard.

As soon as Shisui entered the yard, he saw a scene that left him shocked.
