The first thing he saw was blood coming out of his grandfather’s mouth, and all the blood covering his t-shirt.
His grandfather was still busy coughing up blood, but he noticed the door slamming open. He turned around his face looking completely calm, but you could still see a ferociousness glint hidden deep in his eyes.
When he noticed it was his grandson Lin xiu standing in the doorway his eyes immediately returned to normal, and even started to show some gentleness inside them.
After looking at his concerned grandson for a bit he opened his mouth and said “I am fine it’s just my little old injury acting up again nothing to worry about so go back to sleep Xiu”.
Lin xiu’s face went from concerned to mad after he heard the words coming out of his grandfather’s mouth, and he yelled “do you think I am stupid even with all this blood here you still dare to say it’s just a little old injury?”
“You think you can still keep playing this down even after I saw the state you’re in right now, and you expect me to just silently go back to sleep?” he continued yelling.
The anger inside Lin xiu had been building up for a while now because of his grandfather always hiding things, but now everything came out at once, and he kept yelling “you better give me explanation for what happened today!”
His grandfather was still looking extremely calm not bothered in the slightest by his yelling at all, and he was just calmly gazing at Lin xiu.
This made Lin xiu even more upset, and he was about to open his mouth but just then his grandfather started to speak.
“Okay first calm down, and let me meditate for a bit to calm down this old injury of mine, go wait for me in the living room” right after saying this he said down, and closed his eyes, and he started to meditate not caring about Lin xiu anymore.
Seeing this Lin xiu could only helplessly walk out of the bathroom, and wait for his grandfather in the living room.
He sat down on the couch, and all sort of possibilities kept spinning through his head. After what seemed to have been ages the door of the living room finally opened, and his grandfather calmly walked in.
He was wearing clean clothes, and his complexion looked a lot better. He first headed to the refrigerator, and grabbed a purple nutrient bottle, and downed it in one go.
He threw away the bottle walked to couch, and sat down next to Lin xiu.
Lin xiu’s head was full of questions, but he decided to wait, and see what his grandfather wanted to say.
His grandfather looked deeply into Lin xiu’s eyes before calmly saying “your real name is not Lin xiu, but Wu xing your family was the hidden guardian family of the Tang family”.
“As you can probably guess now, Lin jia’s name is also fake, and her real name is Tang Jiao. You and Jiao are the only known descendants left of your families” he said.

After hearing this it was like a bomb went off inside Wu Xing’s head, but his grandfather didn’t give him any time to digest this information, and continued speaking.
“The story about the car accident is also fake, these are memories implanted by Tang jiao’s mother Tang jiali by using an ancient technique.”
“This is also the reason you don’t remember anything form before the car crash, due to the limited amount of time she could only seal away your memories completely.”
Bomb after bomb went off inside Wu xing’s head he had a lot of questions, but as if this wasn’t enough his grandfather still continued unleashing even more shocking news.
“The reason for all of this is because of a very big conspiracy that caused the Wu and Tang family to be hunted down for years.”
“No one can know you real names because this would bring doom upon us. I know you have a lot of questions right now, but this is all you have to know for now.”
“Also keep this information hidden from your sister she doesn’t have to know all these things. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.”
“I am going to sleep so my injuries can heal, and you should do the same.” After he finished speaking he didn’t wait for Wu xing’s reply, and just left.
Wu xing’s mind was a mess he had tons of questions, but the last words of his grandfather left a deep impression in him *sometimes ignorance is bliss* he thought.
He decided that he needed to get stronger as fast as possible because only then could he help his grandfather carry the burden.
Only by being strong enough could one stop being ignorant, and know more. He didn’t want to continue being left in the dark like a frog in a well always looking up, but never knowing what was outside.
He was tempted to ask Nadia for information about the Wu and Tang families, but he quickly removed that thought from his head.
He wasn’t stupid, and knew that there was a very big chance that information about the Wu, and Tang was being monitored. If that was true then the consequences of his actions would only be death.
Thinking any more about this matter was pointless, and he knew he couldn’t find the answers he wanted anyways.
So he went back to bed, and decided that from tomorrow on he would do everything he could to get stronger. He would make his training even harder, and more brutal.
Unwavering determination could be seen in his eyes before he closed them, and started to meditate. After roughly 30 min of meditating he fell into a deep sleep again.
What he and his grandfather didn’t know however was that his little sister Tang jiao was awake and had heard everything they had talked about.
