It’s dark. The first thing I noticed since I wake up that it’s dark. Where am I? I don’t even know. I don’t even know who I am. I tried to remember but nothing came up. I tried to move but I can’t move. What can I do? I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. One day I noticed, there’s a floating ball of light all around me. Since when did I manage to see? I don’t know, I don’t care and I do nothing about it. I still can’t move so I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. One day I managed to move around but not so much before I exhausted myself. So I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. One day I felt hungry. I want to eat. I felt thirsty. I want to drink. But what can I do? I can’t even move, so I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. One day I discovered that I can move, finally. I approach one of the ball of light that hover continuously around me. I touch them and they disappear. I felt warm for some reason and I don’t feel hunger or thirst anymore. But after that I can’t move again, so I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. One day I noticed that I can move again. I want to feel that sensation again. Not feeling hunger or thirst. Waiting can bring back hunger and thirst it seemed. So I move again, looking for another ball of light. For some reason, whenever I approached the ball of light they disperse and get away from me.

I’m not giving up, that sensation, I must feel it again. I tried to move faster and finally caught one of them. I touch it and I feel it again, the sensation of not hungry or thirsty. But like last time, I cannot move again, so I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. One day, I discovered something that I have never seen before, a big ball of light. I don’t know why, but I had the urge to approach it so I did. For some reason, it didn’t scatter like the smaller one before. I think that it intentionally waited for me. I tried to touch it but I felt suction force. Something I never felt before.

Naturally I resist and the suction force becoming fiercer and fiercer until I felt helpless. But for some reason, I continued to persist and fight. It lasted a long time but I finally managed to beat it and absorbed it. Then I felt something I never felt before. It hurts. I felt as if my whole self would cease to exist. But I persist and I prevail. The pain is gone and I felt stronger.

Now I know what I am. I am a Soul Devourer. I eat souls to become strong. What I battled before was another Soul Devourer. Apparently, I still yet to mature so I don’t know what I am, until I eat another Soul Devourer. For some reason, when Soul Devourer ate another one of its kin, they get stronger and mature faster than when eating just regular souls.

After that battle, I exhausted myself and rest. And so I continued to wait.
