Haaaah… It’s been awhile since I started my rampage. When I first started my rampage, I felt tired because I had to eat many souls at one. Not to mention the big one, other souls devourer. But I don’t care. When my soul body refused to move, I forced it to move. When I am sated, I forced myself to eat, all because I want to pass through the gate.

There’s not many souls left here. The one that survived my rampage are mostly the other Soul Devourer. While I want to move and eat them, my soul body wouldn’t let me anymore. It seems I had to rest, so I rest and wait again.

I wait and continue to wait. One day, I discovered something changed inside of me. There’s memories, memories not of myself but the memories of the souls that I ate. Adult, children, animal, beast, magical beast, criminal, saints, all of their memories are now residing within me.

Strangely enough, I don’t lose myself. I’m still me, Logan, who was once human. From what I know from all these memories, is that if someone has too many stuff on their memories, they all went insane. Not me, no. Is it because I’m a soul? Whatever… I want to go straight to the gate but there’s still few souls left to devour. Let the hunt begin!

Haaah… Finally, there are no more souls left. Just like last time, whenever I ate large amount of souls, I can’t move. Maybe my soul body is tired. I just have to wait until I can move again to challenge that old soul. But for now, I wait.

I wait and continue to wait. Finally, I can move again. Now is the time to go to the gate and eat the old soul. For some reason I felt excited to pass the gate and to eat the old soul.

“You’re back again young one” said the old soul

Yeah you’re right, I’m back and I’m here to claim you’re soul.

“Well then, shall we proceed?”

Proceed? Proceed what?

“You eating me of course. What else?” said the old soul

Just like that? I went through a rampage and you letting me eat you just like that?

“Well you see, I may be powerful, but my task is to guard this gate against souls who want to pass here. But since you ate all of them, my job just become dull isn’t it? SO why not let you eat me while I rest in peace?”

Well, that is reasonable…. Wait, how do I know that it isn’t some kind of trap?

“Well it is not a trap young one. I’m just tired that’s all. When you guard a gate for gods know how long you become bored. Especially since no one has challenge you. Besides, the rule for passing this gate is something that even I cannot achieve. Only Soul Devourer can pass and I’m not a Soul Devourer” said the old soul

Not a Soul Devourer? But how come you’re so strong?

“I’m not strong young one, you are just weak. In fact, all of the souls here are weak, even the Soul Devourer here are weak. You’re the odd one. I feel potential, that’s why I told you to eat every single soul here to become strong, and me included” said the old soul

“Are you ready young one? After you ate me, move closer to the gate and it should open up for you. Who knows, maybe you may become someone great out there” added the old man

Someone great out there? Does it mean that when I get out I’m no longer be in soul form?

“That I do not know” said the old man

Fair enough. Are you ready old soul? Because I’m going to eat your ass up

“Hahaha, language young one, language…. But to be young, you need to be brash”

As the old soul said that, I ate it and move closer towards the gate. Then out of nowhere it spoke.

“Soul Devourer number 1771 has passed the trials, opening the Netherworld gate. Destination, Mortal Realm”

All of a sudden, light started to envelope me and I disappeared from the dark space. So long… Hope I never visit this place again.
