"I think I should level up first," Derek thought.

He decided to check his skills. Upon opening the tab, he saw two sections: passive and active skills. However, the active skills tab was grayed out, so he clicked on the passive skills.

[Passive Skills]

[Danger Detection – LVL 0]

[Fear Resistance – LVL 0]

[Sprint – LVL 0]

Derek clicked on Danger Detection and a description appeared:

[Skill: Danger Detection]

Type: Passive

Rarity: Rank 2

Experience: 6/10XP

Description: Helps detect danger for the user.

Three buttons appeared below: Upgrade, Convert XP, and Evolve.

Derek pressed the first button, but a message popped up:

[To upgrade this skill, it must have max XP and 2 King’s Points.]

Finding it strange that upgrades required points, he tried converting XP instead.

[Converting XP will consume 5 skill XP and grant 1 user XP.

Conversion is available once per level.

Do you confirm?

Yes/No]

Derek thought for a moment, then pressed Yes. Checking his status again, he saw that his experience had changed from 0 to 1. Feeling a bit encouraged, he moved on to the next skill.

[Skill: Fear Resistance]

Rarity: Rank 3

Type: Passive

Experience: 10/10XP

Description: Increases resistance to fear effects.

Since he had no King’s Points, he immediately converted the XP.

[Converting XP will consume 10 skill XP and grant 3 user XP.

Do you confirm?

Yes/No]

Derek confirmed and realized that higher rarity skills provided more XP. He then checked the last skill.

[Skill: Sprint]

Rarity: Rank 1

Type: Passive

Experience: 10/10XP

Description: Short-distance running boost.

After converting its XP, he only gained 1 XP, confirming his theory.

"Just 5 more XP, and I’ll reach Level 1. I wonder what I’ll get after leveling up," he thought excitedly.

Next, he checked his Inventory—only 10 empty slots were available. Disappointed, he moved on to the Missions tab, where two quests were listed.

[First Quest]

Description: Reach Level 1

Reward: 10 XP, 1 King’s Point, and unlock the Shop.

[Second Quest]

Description: Establish a Kingdom with at least 100 people.

Reward: 1000 XP, 100 King’s Points, and unlock the Territory System.

"So I really can become a king… but I need to return home. My family will struggle without me," Derek thought sadly.

He felt hopeful when he saw the Worlds tab, meaning there might be a way to return. However, he needed to unlock it first.

The last section was Knowledge, which contained Blueprints, Recipes, Languages, and Techniques. Except for Languages, everything else was grayed out.

Under Languages, all Earth languages were listed, but only English was unlocked. He found the Universal Tribal Language, which required 5 King’s Points to learn—cheaper than the other languages, which ranged from 7 to 10 points.

After finishing his review, Derek decided to rest. It had been a long and exhausting day.
