The Awakening
Priyam exhaled, flexing his fingers. His body felt different—stronger, faster.
Kaela Bloodfang, the war queen, was grinning like a predator who had finally found worthy prey.
She licked her lips, golden eyes gleaming. “I knew there was something special about you.”
Priyam rolled his shoulders. “Yeah? Took you long enough.”
The air between them crackled with tension. The elves on the walls watched in stunned silence.
Lyria whispered, “Priyam… what are you?”
He turned to the invisible readers. That’s the question, isn’t it? Because let’s be real—if I’m suddenly keeping up with someone who can destroy cities, then I sure as hell ain’t normal.
Kaela vanished again.
But this time—
Priyam moved.
His body reacted on instinct, his foot twisting into the dirt as he dodged before she even struck.
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Kaela’s claws sliced the air where his neck had been—but he was already behind her.
“Too slow.”
Priyam’s fist shot forward—BOOM!—aiming for her ribs, but Kaela twisted mid-air, blocking with her forearm.
Their attacks blurred, speed increasing with every exchange.
Fists clashed. Claws scraped. The ground cracked beneath them.
Then—
Kaela jumped back, breathing heavily.
She wiped a trickle of blood from her lips and grinned. “I haven’t enjoyed a fight like this in years.”
Priyam smirked. “Glad I could make your night.”
Kaela’s golden eyes gleamed with something beyond just battle lust.
“I’ve decided,” she murmured, stalking toward him.
Priyam blinked. “Huh?”
Before he could react—
Kaela grabbed his collar and pulled him close.
Her hot breath tickled his ear as she whispered, “I want you.”
The battlefield froze.
The elven warriors watching from the walls nearly collapsed.
Lyria dropped her sword. “WHAT?!”
Evelyne choked. “No… way.”
Priyam turned to the readers. Wait, hold up. Did I just get confessed to… by a warlord who massacres entire armies?!
Kaela leaned in, her claws tracing his jawline. “You’re strong. You excite me.”
Priyam gulped. Oh, I am so screwed.
Lyria’s Rage
“ABSOLUTELY NOT!”
Lyria stormed forward, pushing between them. Her violet eyes blazed with fury.
Kaela raised an eyebrow. “And who are you to decide?”
Lyria huffed. “As the elven princess, I refuse to let you take him!”
Priyam blinked. “Hold on—who said I was being taken?”
Kaela grinned. “I like my men to have spirit.”
Lyria twitched. “HE IS NOT YOUR MAN.”
Kaela smirked, leaning into Priyam’s space again. “Not yet.”
Priyam turned to the readers. I swear, I just wanted to survive in this world. Now I’ve got an elven princess and a warlord fighting over me. What the hell is happening?
Lyria grabbed Priyam’s arm. “We’re leaving.”
Kaela licked her lips. “I’ll come find you later, human.”
As Lyria dragged him away, Priyam sighed. This world was going to kill him.
A New Threat
But just as they reached the castle—
A chilling presence filled the air.
Priyam’s body tensed. His instincts screamed.
Lyria froze. “This mana…”
A deep, guttural laugh echoed through the night.
Then—a figure stepped from the shadows.
A man clad in black armor, his silver hair flowing like smoke. His crimson eyes burned with ancient power.
Kaela turned, her expression deadly serious.
“Draven, the Abyss King.”
Priyam grinned, clenching his fists.
“Oh, hell yes. Time for round two.”
