"Welcome to Starfall City," one of the men introduced the place to her.
"So it appears," Alaenor replied calmly as she observed their surroundings, taking in all their unique features and odd buildings. A group of children passed by them carrying a bucket full of water, laughing merrily while singing songs under their breaths. There were various shops of different sizes all around the village, filled with food stands and stalls advertising things such as fresh bread, meat pies, and tea. Alaenor looked away for a second when someone caught her eye and turned around to see an attractive blonde wearing a green dress, holding onto her friend's hand. What drew Alaenor's attention, however, was that the blonde's hair was slightly singed in places and there were bruises visible on both of her arms.
Alaenor thought the blonde's behavior was very odd, considering that the blonde should be smiling happily. Maybe the blonde had gotten injured recently? But it was none of Alaenor's concern, she knew nothing of this world and its people so she kept note of the paths and the buildings, in case she got lost. The men led her to some sort of shelter, entering the place where they met an old and wrinkled blonde lady. Alaenor noticed the lady had a kind but worried expression on her aged face, as if sensing her troubled emotions.
"Welcome to Starfall City! My name is Euphemia," the old woman greeted them, smiling kindly. "How are you finding our little town so far?"
"Quite lovely, thank you," Alaenor spoke up after a moment, glancing around to take in her surroundings again.

"That is pleasant to hear," Euphemia continued calmly, "If you're ever tired, feel free to rest inside my hut, I'll gladly accommodate you in any way."
Euphemia led them into the main room where they sat down across from each other. "Now I wonder if there's anything I can help you with?" She placed her thin, gnarled hands together on the table, waiting patiently for them to speak.
"No, that's alright. But I have a couple of questions to ask, that is if you don't mind?" Alaenor questioned, placing her elbows on the table and leaning forward. Euphemia smiled gently.
"Of course! Please do your best."
"Do you know anything about what's going on here?" "Nothing much, just a couple of days ago a pod crashed right in front of the village, and everything seems to be working fine but rumors say the pod fell from the skies and held none but one person inside. Judging by your appearance, I could say you are from the pod?"
Alaenor responded with a nod, "I suppose so. . . but I cannot remember much of what happened before."
Euphemia's brows furrowed slightly in concern, "That's concerning."
"No, not at all. And please don't worry yourself with this," she added quickly. "I am simply curious, but I'm not expecting answers. For now, you may rest here as you please." Later, Alaenor was given a room with all the necessities inside. It was not like her own home where everything used electricity but not that she remembered much of it.
From the door, a single bed was placed against the wall and a small desk sat beside it; next to the bed sat a simple chair. She took a quick look inside the window, noticing there was a view of an empty, grassy field surrounded by mountains. It wasn't quite the same as the peaceful land her parents brought her to after she was born, however, she enjoyed the atmosphere nonetheless. As she lay down on the bed, she glanced up at the ceiling.
As her thoughts were running rampant within her head, she eventually drifted off to sleep, allowing her dreams to take hold of her consciousness while she slept.
