He leaned to get a better look at me from head to toe, damn this guy was so tall it makes me feel like a little kid. Hes hair had red streaks and he was wearing those scary looking earrings on his left ear. He was pulled away from me and tossed to the ground by Julius who was fuming "What do you think you are doing to Richard?" he was scary, I gulped and placed my hand on his shoulder to calm him, hes shoulder tensed a bit then relaxed he turned to look at me with an apologetic smile. "Sorry big brother instincts just kicked it" I scowl at him a bit before playfully punching his shoulder and looked down at the guy who was staring daggers at Julius.
"Sorry about that he was just worried" I explained, he stood up and stood in front of me
"I can't believe I was assigned to baby sit a little brat, and here I thought I was going to get someone useful, you don't even know your powers yet" he complained, I huff .
"So what?" I stare at him but those eyes were just too familiar. Please don't tell him hes one of my long lost siblings as well?
The room began feeling cold Julius began to shiver and sneeze "Dang whats up with this room?" I turned to look around and saw everyone was frozen and when I mean frozen the ice are color black, I gulped and backed Julius pushes me behind him. Hes skin was starting to turn ice cold.
"Stop it what are you doing to everyone?" I shouted at him, Julius fell to the side heaving so much.
"I am just having a bit of fun that's all" the guy said with a sadistic smirk on his face I scowled at him and went to land a punch at him, he moves his finger and my feet began sinking into the ice, I glared at him but his face was filled with confusion. "Why aren't you shivering like the others?" he walked closer to me and checked my entire body "Not even a single frost bites" he muttered a little angry and looked at me with those eyes, I can't stand to look at them.
"Let everybody go you bastard!" I shouted breaking the ice and sending him backwards, he was too shocked to move and I used that time to check on Julius, the skin was already turning a shade of blue and Julius was not breathing much anymore. I turned to look at the guy "Let them go right now!" I was already seeing red, my anger can no longer be contained I walked towards him each step I felt something growing behind me but I did not take the time to look at it I was just to angry.
"What are you?" he looked at me with great surprise he was just standing there.
My my to think Mercucio was the one I heard a voice inside my head, it was a woman's voice she sounded like she was having fun. My head began to hurt so much and I was having trouble breathing I fell to the ground and tried to get in some air.

I felt someone push my lungs a bit and then again I felt numb I can't even talk right now it was supposed to be cold but it feels like I was walking on air.
"Richard can you hear me?" Julius...I can hear Julius's voice hes fine?
"Come on man knock it off already you can't die right now you finally got your powers you can't just die like this" hes voice was overly dramatic for my taste.
"S-shut up Julius can't you see I am enjoying a nice sleep right now?" I muttered
"you think? you are the only one who can actually sleep in this kind of temperature" he mumbled and helped me sit up, I looked around and everything was back to normal the teachers were enjoying their punches and the students were dancing around.
Where the scary guy should have been standing was replaced with dancing students, he was no where to be seen and it was kind of freaking me out right now. Julius stood beside me and heave a sigh of relief "First day and this happens man you always attract the dangerous ones" he muttered as I punched him in the gut making him laugh a bit.
"Not funny man" I could really use a cheeseburger right now but the buffet was serving only healthy stuff like carrot cakes, banana pound cakes, scones, Cesar salad and blah blah blah I can't eat this stuff its going to destroy me for sure. I turned to leave only to face a crippled old lady that looked like she came from the walking dead my heard pounded so fast and I grabbed the nearest thing that should serve as a weapon. Yeah you guessed it a carrot.
"Don't worry Richard I'm sure she is not from the walking dead series or came back from the dead at all" I gulped and looked at him in panic
"If shes not then maybe she came from Tutankhamen's thomb !" the old lady snorted and swatted the carrot away from me and placed it back on the table "Don't play with food young man" her voice made me run out of the gymnasium in a flash "gahhhhh"

"Richard come back here!" I heard Julius's voice but it was muffled now because of the crowd, I stopped in front of the school's statue of their founder 300 years ago, I breathe in and out trying to catch my breath "Gosh a scary weird biker guy and a zombie what kind of place did I enroll in?"
I looked around the court yard and it was empty I walked around and checked out all the flowers that were growing some of them I did not recognize. I should really get back and apologize to that zombie lady.
Before I could even get back I heard a kitten's purr beside me I looked down and saw it was a white one with hetero chromatic eyes the left blue and the other green. I bent down to pick up the kitten it licked my hand and cuddled me I laughed a bit and placed him on my lap, it curled into a small ball and fell asleep I really wanted to take him with me but then again someone might look for him his owner maybe so I placed him beside the flower beds and went back inside the hall for the party.

The party was exhausting really both me and Julius along with the (weird) twins went back to our rooms, someone had already brought my things up there so I don't really need to worry about anything, I managed to smuggle out some cheeseburger from the senior section and some high class looking desserts, the twins helped with the escape so we brought a lot with us without getting caught.
I entered the room first, we were on the 14th floor room 324, I entered the room first and what I saw made me jump out of my sockets the room was huge complete with a flat screen tv, gaming consoles, one side full of updated games and out own mini bar on one side right before you enter the kitchen. The balcony was great it was big enough for all of us to go out together and the coffee table was made of bronze and silver with one credenza filled with expensive looking teacups.
I entered the bathroom and it was what every kid would want, a Jacuzzi right in the middle of the room, 3 separate shower cubicles and a full body length mirror complete with weird buttons that might be interesting to press later. I heard Julius whistle when he entered a door made of iron I ran to his side and also whistled at what I saw, the hall was wide enough unlike most hotels and each side had 2 doors each with their own design where the twins were standing their door was decorated with old looking vine designs with animals from the zodiac sign were embedded to their left the door was plain white meaning no one occupied that room yet, on the other side one door was made entirely of metal and barb wire it had those cool sensors that will only let you in when you place you thumb on them then on the next door it was decorated with plants and earthy animals that must be Julius's room.
I heard scary banging from the scary looking door like those from a war zone then I think I heard someone shooting a riffle around the room I taught that it was from a game but the sounds seemed real to me. I ignored the sounds and went inside my room, sitting on my pillow was the kitten from before he was breathing evenly in his sleep I walked closer to the cat and poked it with my finger it purred making back up a bit.
"Hey Richard wanna play battle...strike?" Julius saw the cat and walked closer carrying it my the fur on its neck making it whine, I caught the cat and placed it back on the pillow "Dude seriously its a cat be gentle with him!" I huff and ruffled the cat's fur. It purred and licked my fingers with a meow.
Julius's left brow twitched and tries to catch the cat but it jumped off the bed before Julius can catch him I just stared at them playing cat and mouse the irony though....."Come back here you little feline!" he pounced on the cat but ended up sinking behind the bed rest the cat walked and sat on my lap and began to snore lightly. "You cat!!!" he yelled but he could not get out making me laugh a bit.
"That cat has been following you around hasn't it Richard?" Carla said eating a cookie while Carlos was drinking his milk with a straw. I look down at the cat and poked its ear hearing it purr and snuggle close to me normally my mom would not let me keep pets inside the house much less my room but now the cat seems to take a liking to me.
"you know you can keep him as your own familiar you know" the twins said at the same time creeping me out a bit. The cat mews and pounces at their feet leaving ice paws behind I blink and pick up the cat. It whined a bit before jumping on my shoulder, I hear Julius creep up behind me probably to catch the cat I turn only to see the cat swinging its tail back and forth creating a weird shield around me but the room began feeling cold.
The cat mews happily and runs out to the kitchen making Julius growl and runs outside as well trying to catch the cat. I laughed along with the twins because the cat was like playing with him I wanted to help my friend but watching them is way more fun than trying to stop them.
"So this familiar thing, how does this work exactly?" I asked the twins as we sat on one of the leather sofas facing the tv playing geographic channel. We drank tea and heard banging inside Julius's room and things crashing to the floor guess they really get along well.
"Simple really you make a contract with the cat and when he feels like your up to the challenge of this harsh institute its going to let you order it around till you die of course, just when I stood I felt something breathing down my neck I slowly turned around and saw a very huge cat with those same hetero chromatic eyes staring at me intently I gulp and back away a bit but the cat just walks closer to me forcing me to sit down but it just kept staring at me.
"nice kitty?"
