A swirl of navy, barely visible energy stands idle in the ruins of a once grand tower.
A man in armor accompanied by a golem of magical origin drag their bound prisoners and arrange them in a small circle around the swirl. The dragon has to stand outside and stick its head in, but otherwise the golem is strong enough to keep it in check.
"Finally, everything we have been working towards... it can begin."
The armored man, named Leviticus, plunges his spear through the heart of the nearly braindead swordsman, his drool staining Leviticus's cape. He gurgles up blood and falls to the ground, dead. As he dies, his essence flies and combines with the purple swirl.
"Oh, shit," says the noseless man. He tries to break his chains, but Leviticus pulls on the iron shackles, burning his wrists. Leviticus walks over to the noseless man now. "Wait, we-" Leviticus hacks off his head before he can finish speaking. His essence flies into the purple swirl. The once-dim sphere of energy now grows bright with power.
Leviticus approaches the skeleton now. It laughs maniacally as Leviticus shatters its skull.
The girl and businessman cry in shock each time Leviticus strikes one dead. The girl cries out for her friend, but he cannot hear her.

Leviticus kills them both with a single thrust of the spear.
The sphere of energy is now roaring with energy. Finally only the dragon remains.
It bears its fangs at Leviticus and breathes a burst of fire, its biology unaffected by the odd magical space.
Leviticus is prepared, though; he lifts his left hand and conjures a barrier of absolute nothingness, blocking the fire with his master's old gauntlet. He throws the spear through the dragon's skull. Its massive body flops to the ground, instantly killed by the throw. Its essence combines with the sphere, the last sacrifice complete.
The swirl rises up into the air, an incomprehensible combination of cosmic energies and geometrical impossibilities fill the air. Pulses of sonic vibrations fill the air as the whirl of energy binds its individual parts back together and an extremely powerful explosion knocks out Leviticus and the golem, Winter.

Darkness. Darkness. Darkness. Light.
A small light, but a light nonetheless. Is it... I can't...
Once again, as I had done so all those years ago, I feel around. Is this... And once again, as before, I crawl out of the taint covering the ground and form my body into the rough shape of a human. I'm... I look down at my purple, festering hands, and when I look up, I see the ruins of the tower in the distance. Impossible! I run over to it and see an armored man lying on the ground. I shake him and he awakens.
"...It really worked..." He says. I try to reply to him, but all that happens is an air bubble pops up from the flat surface where my mouth should be. He stands up quickly and runs into another room. He coms back with a small object in his hands and sticks it in my throat. I rub it for a moment before realizing what he did.
"Hello, Leviticus."
