Came the day when I'm able to proudly say, I can now WALK. Mountainful of struggles was endured to make me be able to catch a breath after a year, and I ain't planning on stop learning. Writing? Third-rate. Drawing? Lesser than Picasso. Talking? . . . Eh, passable.
With Nurse Tio out of the check up room . . . as he often does for buying drinks, all that's left to do is for me to ponder on what to do with something new I discovered.
Me: "Nurse Liyan, play?". Those words will keep me sufficient for now, don't want to be looked at weird for being mature beyond my age.
As it is now, the both of them are currently discussing things with the other figure, yet still his or her or their(cases of non-binary gender) image not in the known for me and the nurses here.
Liyan: "Mmm, not right now, kid". Uncaringly she keeps at doing what she does, typing in data with little to no motivation in her eyes. . . when her other significant(Nurse Tio) is out, that is.
That can't be helped, after all, even this turns mundane for me after the 2nd time unless the cheery clown(Tio) isn't here. Though, that's just to confirm whether she had her focus on me or not, and I confirm it is of the latter(not focusing on me).
Reason is, an innate talent awakened, not something I had prior to reincarnation. Mainly my ears, for now.
For instance, this voice, it is of Father Garvin's, and quite displeased from the sound of it.
All that I must do to hear about their conversation, is to focus and put it all to my head and then to the ears, trying to isolate wandering thoughts and give it my all to the single locked door of this room:
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Garvin: "-(E)ven so, no(t)... meet with hi(s) . . . family at the city?". This has been going on about for sometime while I was left with the two pairing nurses(Tio and Liyan), and maybe it's for the fact that I have the blood of Father Garvin's blood that inherits wolven characteristics like theit keen sense of smell and hearing.
I can't gather up more than that, since my head starts to ring with sounds coming out from other sources, like Nurse Liyan's tippy-tapping her reports, maybe with the wind's howling, and how about the chattery outside of the room, while also not to mention the Freaking MAGICAL MACHINERY of the hospital!
'OWW... Fucking A! Tinnitus don't compare to this woe of mine!'
About 4 seconds after, everything sounds just as it normally should for a human's ears. That's 1 more from my previous run of eavesdrop and as little it seems, improvements are most appreciated, after all.
'If this is, say, an Active Skill, then maybe the duration are affiliated with this tiny, developing vassal of mine that may not store sufficient amount of Mana?'
*Ker-chak*
Alongside two drones, Father Garvin and Mother Fiona got out of the room with uncertainty in their eyes, and I' m getting moody from the direction where I can at least predict the outcome of the talk that just took.
Garvin: "! Ah, sorry if that took some while, Arl"
Standing by with these brown-coated pajamas, I raise my arms up for him to pick me up.
Me: "Yah~. Play with me!"
Garvin: "Okay, okay then, little one". He picks me up and there's Mother apologizing for taking the time for looking after me(not needed, really). "Father now have a day off from tomorrow to play with you. So, what's it going to be?"
A day off. One may seem minor, but these days, he doesn't come back in the night without some dark circles on his eyes for whatever the cause is. Poor guy.
Me: "Bed Storytime book!". I wave at Liyan, as she tilts her head but doesn't give a proper look at me, like a wall made up just for staying away from her patients.

'. . . So cold, that one. Is there anything I can do to brighten her up aside from being near Tio and resting away from her job?
Hmm. . . '
At least that night, I got the session of wordplay I wanted to learn wordings and meanings of each letters and sentences more clearly. More so than those two pair yet to be.
