Today, I went out together with the father. At first, mother didn't want to let me go. No matter how hard I contested her decision, gesticulating, trying to make her understand that I wanted to go with him, mother only giggled.
Eventually, she reluctantly agreed.
Father took me in his arms, took his chopper and left. As I looked back, I saw my mother waving a handkerchief at us. We are probably out for only a few hours and she is making a fuss already. In the end, I won't disappear for long, right?
I'm walking with father in an unknown area. You could call it the 'Industrial Area'. I thought that we had around 20 buildings, but it turns out that we have more, not residential, but for work. Wherever I looked, I only saw sparks flying from the hammers hitting the metals. Only males were working here. I think you could even say that women aren't allowed to enter.
I was looking around. Every blacksmith specializes in a different metal, a shape of the weapon and technique. It was easy to notice that. I am wondering why they don't forge armors. Maybe because of the swamps? These are wetlands, where you could easily be sucked in and drown. Besides, agility is important. The less you weigh, the better.
+1 to Intelligence and Wisdom, for finding the reason as for why your tribe is not creating metal armors.
In the end, I don't know how to move in the swamps. Apparently, I have to leave everything to my father.
Thinking about it, I didn't even notice that we entered one of the buildings. I quickly started looking around not to miss anything. Everywhere, literally everywhere, firearms were hanging on the walls. Almost each one of them had the same shape. Looking at them I noticed that they don't have a hammer, magazine so how then how it supposed to shoot!? Wait, wait... Forget about the muzzleloader. What about gunpowder? Where is the fuse?... Could they be shooting using magic? It was the most logical explanation I could think of. At least, I managed to see a bullet with the shape of a sphere.
+1 to Intelligence and Wisdom, for understanding how a firearm mostly works, despite never holding one in your hands.
Uh... knowledge from my past life feels like a cheat... but it's good for me. I smiled.
My father ended up talking with an owner. I must really focus on listening. I will dedicate my time to learn.
This time, we went into a shop with various kind of weapons. Spears, swords, bows, and shields were lying everywhere: on the table, on shelves or hanging on the walls. The owner, who had dark purple skin, started talking with my father.
"Amhuus, what dronilnric you here?".
"Hi, I dronilnra my weapon to shalr".
"Si kampiun, is it your son?".
"Yes, Azarrar".
"Svaion ekess mother haha".
"I tepoha ekess go back, Quemma will svent ve".
"hehe, Yours too ekess nakta shafaer on a lead?".
"... Adieu".
My father talks only a little... but at least, I understood some parts of the conversation. He left the weapon, probably to be sharpened. We went back home. My mother nearly squeezed me to death. Ilis was there too, which made me happy. We played together until we fall asleep, glued to each other.
The next day, I said farewell to Ilis. Mother looked at me and ran away. After a while, she came back with a book. She put me on her legs and opened it. Curiosity consumed me, as I looked at the book.

On the first page, there was a woman. A beautiful young woman. She wore clothes similar to the Greek gods'. She was emitting light like she is oozing it. Mother said "Eqphion". It was probably her name. She turned the page.
'Eqphion' was now creating the world 'Terra', similar to Creation, but it only took her one day. After that, she created two gods responsible for different parts of the world...
Mother pointed at the first god and said "Silvanus". It was an old man, dressed in rustic clothes, and was probably the god of flora, having green light emitted from him.
Mom pointed at the second god and said "Fauna", a young girl with a knot and clothes evoking the Roman style. She was emitting a pink aura... I don't really know what her color represents, but I will go with fauna, like her name.
On the next page, even more gods were created by Fauna and Silivanus... gods responsible for nearly everything e.g. water, fire, magic. They divided into two groups, which lead to the war. One group was for the good sake of the world while the second wanted to see it burning...
The war between the gods lasted over a thousand years, without any results. Even if the war ended on Terra, they still fight in their dimension.
The creator of the world is in a different dimension than the other gods, who are also in a different dimension, called 'Godhood', divided in the High Island and the Low Island.
And now, thousands of years later, many different races have been created. Gods established a hierarchy between them. 'Eqphion' stand above everything, and her words are absolute. Next were the High Gods, Silvanus and Flora. Then they chose some gods who had the most followers between all races. There is probably some kind of threshold of worshipers, which allows you to go to the High Island, or more followers meaning more forces. And last, the Low Gods.
The top ten gods can choose a Champion as a demigod, who can live god only knows how long... and they are incredibly strong. Still, they can be killed by 'commoners'. Commoners are people who live on Terra. Quite humiliating.
Ilixochit is our good of plants, life, and fertility. We, Saurians, always pray to him before hunting and before intimate affairs. We imagine him as a handsome, tall man with a black long hair, odd eyes, one blue and the second green. He wears a tunic made of different plants.
Our god Ilixochit is from the Low Island. He can give blessings, but that's it. If he were from the High Island, he would be able to talk to me, which would make me kind of like his priest. But even if he were able to enter the High Island, he can only choose a 'priest' before his or her birth. And what sucks the most is that 'priest' must live in celibacy. If he breaks this rule, he dies... yeah that really sucks... Good thing that he is from the Low Island. It could have happened to me since I received his blessings.
And in the center of our village, next to our chief's house, stay a little monument of our god on a pedestal, which slightly increases HP recovery and gives an aura of protection.
+1 to Intelligence and Wisdom, for learning about the World's Creation.
Mother closed the book, smiled and made dinner for me and father. The rest of a day, I spent my time listening to the others/my parents, trying to figure out what they were saying, as I slowly familiarized on the language.
