When I came to see her, she was already sitting at the table with herbs and plants almost covering it. Looking at the table, I could see various kinds of plants and herbs. Big, small, green, red, with spines, with leaves, with flowers or without them. When I tried touching one of them, my mother hit me with a wooden stick. AH!
"Let's start our lesson about herbs”. My mother smiled. My mother, as well as my father, has a basic knowledge about herbalism. However, herbalists still have far greater knowledge than them. They can create potions which restore HP in an instant or working for a short time. Or even MP potions, but nobody knows how they do that. All of their knowledge is written in their book handed down over generations. If only I could put my hands on it... but forget it! For now, my mother is waiting!
After 2 hours, I memorized most of the herbs. I noted them down and divided them between those with good properties and those with bad properties.
[GOOD]
Aum Plant – It often grows nestled in the crook of trees' roots. Has soft and fuzzy leaves. When gently squeezed, emit a sticky, clear liquid that when applied, heal faster and numb the pain.
Kingsfoil – Looks like basil, but yellow. Grows sparsely around spring. After boiling them in the water, take a rag, soak it and apply it on wounds.
P-thorn – Looks like a rosebush, without the flowers. The stem is darker. Grows randomly in swamps. Its stem contains a green liquid which, when mixed with water and crushed to dust with Avern's spikes, gives a higher resistance against poison.
Magic Plant – Small plant very hard to find, grows at the water surface. Flower (only blooms during the full moon) emits light. When eaten, the flower rises permanently around 10-50 MP.
Flower of life – Blooms every 50 years with crystalline white petals. Supposedly grants a longer life, extending it by 20-30 years. Nobody knows where it grows.
The rest looked like my world's ingredients for cooking.
For example:
Talpey – plant with edible roots and beans. Looks like a green pea
[BAD]
Avern – Red plant with bushy spiky stems. After prick, its spikes inject poison. Under the ground, they have fruits looking like onions, but black. In their fruit underground, there's goo, which works like a poison, good to ease the blade. Grows in dark places, hard to find, mostly hid in bushes.
Gripper – Carnivorous plant. Grows in the ground. It disguises itself with purple flowers and leaves like cabbage. When stepped on, the leaves open up to let their prey fall into a toothed mouth. Grows everywhere.
Sser – Bush with red poisonous berries, smelling deceptively sweet. Good for a trap.
Vines – Crawling carnivorous vines with acidic sap that release infectious spores and have the ability to mimic sounds and speech. They have little space for maneuver. Lives on trees.
Nmind – Has dark orange flowers, which are star-shaped. Emit gas which weakens and causes dizziness. Grows on the trunk of trees.

Bloody Lily – Flower with long, scarlet petals. The petals have black fringes on the edges. Its stem is yellow, but very short and its stamen is long, curled and covered in pollen. They have a sweet scent and abundance of nectar. Their pollen numb the area it touches and its nectar paralyzes you. The flower then sucks your blood using its roots. Grew randomly,
There are two carnivorous plants, looking like the ones from Mario – Carn, and Vious. They have toothed mouth, which shatters meat like a knife slicing butter. Grow randomly.]
New skill acquired. Herbalism.
+1 to intelligence and wisdom, for learning and obtaining a new skill: Herbalism.
Oh! That's good! Now, whenever I want to know, a window will show up, telling me what I know about plants. Happy and tired, I went to sleep.
Early in the morning, I was woken up by my father to resume my training.
First balance. Before sparing, he started teaching me some kind of move and told me:
"Repeat it every day for half an hour". I nodded.
It was a boring move, but I will perform it as if my life was depending on it because my father is mostly deadly serious about everything.
Today, the time for sparing increased and father inflicted more pain on me. Due to this, my dexterity increased. It was probably what father had in his mind. One day, I must thank him for everything.
+1 to Strength and +2 to Endurance, for training and sparing.
After we finished, unlike me, I couldn't see any drop of sweat on father... Looking at father slowly walking away, I gazed at him in awe... I start running with a backpack full of rocks, this time I added more rounds around the village.
I have been told by one of the villagers that chief is looking for free hands.
"You are here Azarrar".
"Hello Chief".
"We will start building a house for Tana and Nocri, which soon will enter adulthood. It will be their house after marriage”. I nodded.
"Hmmm... We will start cutting trees. Take an ax, which is behind my house, and go to Ezes, he will explain everything to you.”
I did as he said. His ax is slightly rusty but still as sharp as razor. I didn't ask where Ezes is... turning around, the chief already disappeared...
I managed to find Ezes. He said to use my all my strength, i.e. interior force. Even if the axe was heavy, the interior force was doing its job, haha! After nearly 60 hits, the tree fell down. Tired, I couldn't grasp my breath. Huh... huh.. ehhh... ahh...
You acquired a new skill. Woodcutter. Woodcutter | Beginner. 1/10 | You will hit with a stronger impact ~ 1.1x
I rested and started cutting more trees. After two I managed to get a new level, which led me to gain a new level in Woodcutter skill. Now, I will hit with 1.2x greater force. HAHA! Amazing! But I was interrupted by Ezes, who told me to carry the trees near the foundations of the new house.
+3 to Strength for cutting and carrying trees.
+1 to Endurance, due to hard work.
I could say that is weird for a child who isn't even 1 month old to cut trees, but during the first month, Saurians grow as quick as fuck!
My body looks like the one of a 12 years old boy! However, after the first month, we grow slower until we reach adulthood, at 13 years old.
"Enough for today. If you want to continue, come back tomorrow”. I nodded.
Once again, nothing is better than a warm meal after a hard day's work.
