CHAPTER 2: TEST SUBJECTS (1)

"Hey, Cory, hey...".

Later, I was awoken from the slight glimpse of my past memories,

I said in a low voice as I was hit with the fact that was my former life. I could only express disappointment as now I live in a world unknown to me.

This was exactly 5 years later in this new world, my limbs grew stronger as I was able to walk more efficiently, but.

Everything was still unknown to me as the only information I was able to find on this new world was that we were all test subjects,

I started to notice this as the [men in white] spoke in a weird way mentioning experiments, tests and etc.

But on the larger scale,

We were ten in numbers as we were all in this unknown facility.

After the continuous circle of being watched over by the [men in white], I could only seem to understand that we were being treated as a test product for a project which was unknown to me,

But due to the fact that we were given matching white clothes and given medical care every now and then, I was sure of my thoughts.

'We are [Test Subjects]'.

But another reason for this mainstay was because.

On a certain day a special person came who was dressed differently from the other

He was dressed with a military-grade hat though his face wasn't visible to me,

He also wore a stunning red military uniform which had a unique style,

As I gazed at him, I was instantly giving off the idea he was the boss around here,

Though I don't know why, the vibe which he gave off was that of a boss.

"Morning, Commander Leazus",

"Morning, how's the project going?",

"Everything is going well, sir, the test subjects are all healthy".

"Okay, how's the coming phase proceeding?".

"All well, sir, just waiting for confirmation to move on".

"OK, All proceedings have been granted, you can now move on to phase 2".

Later on, after talking to the [men in white]

The [red] moved in my direction as he started to walk through the hall to inspect the babies, like how the boss of a company inspects his goods.

The next day, we were brought into a new place after the commanders inspection.

I called it {play hall}, it was filled with mostly babystuffs, toys and books. On sighting this I was overjoyed seeing so many stuffs.

Maybe it was because I'm still a baby, sighting all this stuffs would get me thrilled.

But I was suddenly disappointed after a short moment of checking out the place, and why?

'Hah', normally after being reincarnated you get information on the world you're in from books and stuffs, but the only books here are merely fairy tales and knowledge on stuffs I already know'.

*Sigh*

Where did the normal reincarnation went to?

A little while later,

I noticed one of the [men in white] who came over talking to his partner, as we were all playing,

"Hey, how's the test subjects",

"They are all fine".

"Observing them all as been hectic".

"All they do is play with toys nothing else".

"Well, that's all going to change after the next phase".

"Hah!... Well, we are all looking forward to the next phase of the project".

"Yeah, the Commander has given is approval",

"Ok, that means we can move them to the new place".

"Yeah".

At first I thought,

'What next phase?'

Before I could ponder over it, instantly another [men in white] came in a whispered to the two [men in white].

'What now?'

After the [men in white] whispered over to them the other two [men in white] then gathered us all to the new place I was left pondering,

— What is going to happen now?

On moving to the new hall, I glanced at my surroundings as I could see a walk-way with large glass walls at the sides, I looked over the walls as I could see a vast range of snow piled up above us creating a beautiful frozen scenery, so large that everything there was white.

"Wow",

I said to myself as I couldn't avert the gaze upon this beauty. Though my body froze from the feeling of nostalgia from the scenery, I was made to remember the dream of my former self in the cold of the snowy night,

"Hey".

On hearing the [men in white] calling me over, I quickly ran to catch up, so as to avoid unnecessary suspicions.

As we arrived at a small but big room, I could see various equipment which gave off the feeling of a doctor's office.

[Everyone remove your clothes].

The [men in white] said in a dulcet way. It felt enchanting as he said it.

Instantly we obeyed, without a single delay.

On removing our clothes it felt strange.

I don't know why? But I didn't feel any bit of embarrassment as I removed my clothesif only I was a bit older, I could have been embarrassed in doing so.

As we were all stripped naked,

The [men in white] examined us thoroughly, though I couldn't figure the use of the test,

Moving on, there was another [men in white] who lined us up in a random order,

And to my notice, we were being numbered as we were being placed on a neck tie displaying numbers which started from 100-110,

Mine was 102, though the numbers had no specific meaning, just a means of identifying us,

As I got the strangest feeling, when I was placed a number, I felt inferiority.

After being given those neckties, we were given an injection with a blue liquid.

*Aww*

As I felt the slight pain of the needle piercing through the layers of my skin and into my blood vessels, I couldn't resist but to succumb to the act.

Before I realized the stringe entering my hand, it had already ended, we then wore our clothes back.

After a while, I could hear the [men in white] speaking

"Done, that's the last of them,

Inform the higher ups that the phase 2 had been done"

"Okay, sir"

I then thought to myself,

'Is that phase 2, it did feel that much scary' ,

Little did I know that the real experiment was to come.

After the phase 2, we moved out of the building, heading out through the snow,

Then I realized we were being moved to a new [shelter].

Beside the door of the shelter which had an odd circular shape, I was made to see the [men in white] opening the door with his palm above a dark screen,

My thoughts were,

'It's a hand scanner' .

Through the door there were other doors lined up like a hostel suite with numbers from,

As we were then taken to our rooms,

Inside the rooms there was a provided bed and a desk with a chair placed on the left side and a window in each room.

"This is your room",

The [men in white] said

On the movement of the [men in white] out the door.

I sighed with relief as I thought,

"Finally, some privacy".

*Thump*

I then leaped into the air and crash landed onto the bed.

*Sigh*

It was relaxing having a private room for the first time in my life.

'Wait that's weird why would they put us in a private room without a reason, we're only five'.

*Jolt*

I then felt a weird sensation. As I pondered.

Looking around, I noticed a camera being placed in the top corner of the room.

'I see we're all being watched'.

Despite knowing, we were being put on surveillance all day, my thoughts were still positive, saying,

"Well... At least it's a step to freedom".
