As the party exited ‘The Seamstress’ they proceeded to go about the rest of the evening, and Zutal still has a lot of questions to answer.
Zutal: “Can we head to the docks?”
Sofia: “Why do you want to visit the docks? Are you going to haggle for goods directly from the ship captains?”
Zutal: “I just want to know more about the Gods that are worshipped in this world, particularly The Storm God.”
Sofia: “Well it sounds to me that you want to find out about an old God. Let me ask Marie real quick.”
‘Sounds like I will not be getting any answers here either, wonder if I will learn more from the temple ruins about the past than trying to dig up something that doesn’t exist, or has long since been gone.”
Marie: “Maybe two thousand years ago some real old fashioned sailors would have still worshipped an old God, however since Snout Port got destroyed by the old guild leader that is unlikely. Poseidon is far more common with sailors, since he is a new God that beat the old Gods from the draconic empire.”
Allelu: “We still have an old temple built for multiple Gods in the city. The mausoleum should still be open, but I haven’t used it in a while.”
Zutal: “Yes please visit.”
‘This will hopefully allow me to find the two other Gods that I worship, although the Dragon God could be difficult to find as well.’ The walk to the multi-God prayer building is not too long, however the building itself is impressive.
Slightly off the beaten path from the main road and nestled between residential buildings the squat mausoleum is a large complex with multiple floors, both above and below ground as well as prayer Idols on the roof for the Gods that symbolise the sun.
Walking inside the building feels like a separate world, as the outside noise of the bustling port city is completely gone while inside of the almost silent building. There can be heard a few murmuring in the distance as people kneel before idols and the shuffling of feet, however for the amount of people in the building the air feels much heavier than on the outside.
Zutal: “What does a person do if they follow multiple Gods?”

Sofia: “I would not recommend that, as you might get contradictory challenges, or useless rewards because no one God likes you. I would recommend picking one and sticking to it.”
Zutal: “Have you heard of the Dragon God?”
Sofia: “I have in a few tribe history books. One of the main Draconic Empire old Gods, bloodthirsty and the sort to encourage degrading behaviours like greed and strength above all.”
Zutal: “Why was it degrading?”
Marie: “Part of the blame for the fall was that the economy of the empire ran extremely poorly, stupid old dragons took all the gold so they couldn’t pay their own people or mercenaries, they also fought the mercenaries and in the end got nothing for their show of strength.”
Zutal: “So bad worship the Dragon God?”
Marie: “As a worshipper of Vidar, I would be debating your morality worshipping the new Gods or the old Gods downfall.”
Zutal: “But like strength, let you think.”
Allelu: “That is what I like to hear. Me smash. Me get hit.”
Sofia: “Stop teasing the naked monster in the party.”
Allelu: “Well, let us head downstairs since that is where all the dark Gods and the old Gods are relegated as least favourites.”
As the party moves down the hall most of the God statues have their own holes in the wall, that display their Gods idols or statues. There are a few idols that are placed together, for example a new God Dionysus and Bacchus.
Zutal: “Why are those two together?”
Marie: “That is Bacchus, he used to be named Dionysus but after the fall of the old Gods he changed and became a lot more in line with the new beliefs. He still has a lot of zealous believers in his old God name in the Sentient Assemblage, however in the Claret Confederacy he would be only used in his new name.”
Zutal: “I also interested in God Kukulkan.”
Marie: “Sorry but I do not know that one. Maybe he will also be in the downstairs of the mausoleum.”
As the group sets down a spiral staircase to the basement they come across a vast array of Idols lining the four walls of the basement. There is a damp smell, as well as a smaller number of people, Sofia and Marie peel off as Allelu goes to the other end leaving Zutal to walk around and look at the meagre offering.
‘This place is so depressing compared to upstairs, the Draconic empire must have fallen really hard for their benefactors to forsake them.’ As zutal walks around he can spot a dragon figure seen in classical western fiction, the four legged lizard with wings on its back and horns coming out of its head has got no feathers depicted on its body.
‘Strange, weren’t all old dragons supposed to be feathered, and it is in a chubby hole with another Totem made of bronze that shines like a rainbow under the candle light.’ As Zutal approaches he decides to give an offering to the two shrines that do not even have an offering bowl.
Zutal proceeds to take a fully healed scale on his right forearm and rip it off, with a bit of blood flowing out of the scales place the dragonkin places the arm over the dragon idol and lets the blood seep onto it, while leaving the scale on the other idol because it feels right inside of his chest.
As the group reconvenes back at the stairs of the basement they leave in silence, all thinking about their personal offerings to their Gods.
