"Are you sure you're going to be fine?"
"Yes. You don't have to worry that much about me. I'll make a lot of friends and bring them home!" I said with poise.
"Hahaha Alright dear. Make lots of friend."
"Right! Bye-bye Mom!" I ran hurriedly and waved back at her.
To be honest, this is pretty much all an act to say the least. I'm actually quite nervous and it's because my family recently moved into this newly formed nation. Apparently, all races here can co-exist like beast people, elves, and etc. However, something else troubles me even more... Barely any humans travel and settle into this nation. Basically, I'm a minority. I even get lots of looks from other races and I can't help but feel uncomfortable. I stopped in place and focused on my breathing.
"Alright...Visualize the wind propelling you forward..."

Phew. Finally arrived at my new school.

"Hey look. It's a human."
"Woah. You're right. Scary."
Scary? Are you serious. Me? I'm literally just a normal girl with a bit of magical power. Hmm... It's frustrating but I get their point. After all, in this world, humans conquer the most land than any race. Still. I've never seen this many varieties of races in a place before. I feel so dull and boring... Stop Clementine! Which race is the strongest! That's right us! Uh, okay that was a bad joke. Forgive me. Anyway, I need to get to my classroom.
*Gulp*
Beyond this door will be the start of my new school life and I think I've been staring at it for too long that some students are looking at me in like I'm weird. Haha. Alright. Brace yourself Clementine.
*Door opens*
"Eh."
No one was inside. Was I too early? Or was this the wrong classroom? No. This is definitely the right classroom. It's not a mistake. Ah, I can't help it I'll have to check it aga-
"Excuse me."
Whoa! I bolted. "Oh, I'm sorry." I moved to the side swiftly and let the student in. Is she, my classmate? Oh, what's with her? A set of elf and fluffy ears and a tail to boot? What race is she? I wanted to ask her about it, but I stopped myself as it might be rude to ask her of that. We'll know about it later when we introduce ourselves later anyway.
I chose to sit in the middle left of the classroom. It was also the same sit in my previous school so I'm fine for now. It seems the elf-beast girl sat at the back. She doesn't seem to talk much huh? She also doesn't seem to notice that I'm human or rather notice me at all. Well, it's better for me. I'm tired of all those stares like I'm some kind of extinct creature. I'm a bit grateful to her.
I'll definitely make a friend today!
