The arena was just like any old arena with seat, surrounding the battle area. Except the battle area is also shielded by a force field that will stop any of the broken shards of metal or any other material from going out. If you wanted to you, could even change the terrain of the arena.

We all decided to do a team battle, four people to a group. Erica and I were paired up with Cole and Alec.

Cole has black hair with streaks of orange in them, while Alec’s is all green with little dashes of blue

In total there was five groups with two having an extra member. Once that was done we went into an area where we get the mechs ready for battle.

Oh, and I eventually did stop crying…..

I pulled out my mech from the necklace around my neck to get it ready for the battle.

“Wooow, is that your mech? Man, it looks boss!” (Alec)

“Thanks! Finished remodeling it yesterday. I have to say the same for all of yours too.” (Eli)

Alec’s mech was giant, green, heavy, equipped with two large cannons, rifles on it’s head and sides, and a massive magnetic plasma sword.

Cole’s mech was black as the darkness of the abyss, it shape was that of a wolf and had razor sharp claws, and teeth that could tear you apart. A wolf built for assasination.

Erica’s mech had a humanoid shape like mine with propulsion engines on the back. The mech was red and armed with a 45GH type assault rifle.

We got our mechs loaded with anything they need, got into the cockpits, and went onto the arena where the others were waiting. In the arena were mechs of all kinds and colors.

“So what is the terrain that we are using?” (Eli)

I asked Cassy through my mech’s communication system.

“Hmmm, the old factory! There’s lots of hiding spots there!” (Cassy)

The map Cassy choose had the scenery of a factory taken over by nature, but she’s right, there are lots of hiding places.

Our groups each went to their starting area. When they were all there, the scenery changed to that of a destroyed factory, the buildings that once surrounded us were now gone and replaced by clear blue sky. Even if we can’t see outside the people outside could see us.

“Game start!!”

The computers came on and announced the start of the game and everyone switched to team only communication.

“Okay guys, we should probably split up to cover more ground.” (Cole)

“Agreed, let's go for for Carlos’s group since they’re the closest.” (Erica)

“Okay, then Eli you’re with me while Alec and Erica will go together, we’re going to sneak up on them.” (Cole)

Cole took charge as the leader but we didn’t really mind since his plan was explainable.

Cole and I went to the left while the others went to the right. After some time we spotted Carlos’s team on the radar. We had already removed ourselves from their radar by hacking, so they won’t know were here till we shot.

“Okay Alec, fire your cannons at them.” (Cole)

Alec fired his cannon at them. He hit an orange mech with a large magnum sword, ripping one off its arm and leg.

The group was now alerted that we were here and scanned the area for us, but Erica had already put up a jammer in the area.

“Nice! Now Eli you take Lucy’s mech, Erica go for Rick’s mech, Alec….keep messing up Waldo while I go for Carlos.” (Cole)

I went to were Lucy’s mech was and attacked it, she tried to fire her gun at me, but I was already out of her firing range due to my robots speed.

“!!...Eli! Did you teleport or something?! I couldn’t even see you move your mech!” (Erica)

“Erica not this time! Your in the middle of something!” (Eli)

“Oh! Right!” (Erica)

I was moving faster than the eye could see and hacking away at Lucy’s mech till it was down. This made the safety system activate and Lucy and her mech were teleported back to the prep room. She won’t be allowed in the game till it’s completely over.

The others also finished and we continued to our next target.

Battle raged on for a while till it was only my team of four and Chloe’s team of five.

“Five against four….like that’s fair.” (Alec)

“Oh Alec, it’s only a one person difference.” (Erica)

Chloe’s group was composed of her, Mark, Lucifer, Cassy, and Jackson. Chloe’s and Jackson’s mech were yellow while the others were blue. Cassy had a bow and Jackson had a sniper while the rest had assault type weapon.

“We need to take the sniper out first, so Eli, since your fast go take out Jackson. Once that’s done the rest of us will attack.” (Cole)

“But there’ll still be four of them against our three. One of them, if left out, could seriously damage someone.” (Erica)

“Hmmm….anyone have a drone?” (Cole)

“I have one, four actually.” (Alec)

“Okay, then send them Cassy’s way. It will be hard for her to hit them at a close distance with the bow.” (Cole)

“Ok!” (Alec)

We discussed more about the plan before going in.

**Chloe’s POV**

“Chloe, I can’t find them on the scanner.” (Cassy)

“I see….let’s try to find them manually.” (Chloe)

“Ok, I can’t anymore! Chloe are you okay? You’ve been acting strange for a while. Tell me wha—“ (Mark)

Just when Mark was about to finish his sentence, Jackson’s sniper was pieced apart, generating a loud explosion big enough to send Jackson’s mech flying back.

“Jackson! You ok?!” (Cassy)

“Man! Where did that come from!....Cassy! Drones heading your way!” (Jackson)

“Huh? Oh!” (Cassy)

Cassy tried to battle the drones, but couldn’t even hit one with her arrows. We tried to help, but we were taken by surprise when the other team showed up.

“Got you!” (Cole)

Cole’s black wolf came out and attacked Mark while Erica’s came for me. Erica fired her gun at me as I pulled up my shield. Then we heard some sort of explosion coming from Jackson location. It seem his arm has been ripped from his mech’s frame.

“Jackson! You good?!” (Chloe)

“Uhh, no! Something’s attacking me! but I can’t track it.” (Jackson)

This fight isn’t going very well for us! Umm, what should I do?! And where is Emilia?

“Cassy! Use the distortion field!” (Chloe)

Cassy’s dad is an inventor who created a field that stops all mechs and drones from working. That basically means it shuts them down, but they have to be within the field’s range for it too work.

Cassy used the distortion field, so us and our opponent’s mechs stopped in their tracks. In front of Jackson was a mech that seems to have been built for speed, that must be Emilia.

Cassy destroyed all the drones before they could reanimate themselves, but eventually our mechs started to come back to life.

**Eli’s POV**

“Man! Totally not expected this!” (Cole)

“Cassy can now shoot us with that bow, what do we do?!” (Erica)

“Hm, Okay! Change of plans, Eli go after Cassy while I’ll take care of Jackson and Mark.” (Cole)

“You sure? That’s two against one.” (Alec)

“I can manage.” (Cole)

I went for Cassy and attacked her, but she blocked it. It kinda went on like this for a while with neither side gaining much progress.

**Lucy’s POV**

I finished fixing my mech after we were defeated in battle. To be honest, my team and I didn’t want to battle, so we let them defeat us.

I went outside of the repair room and on the bleachers were lots of people that weren’t there before. I ran to the arena’s control room and found Carlos there.

“Carlos! Where did all these people come from?” (Lucy)

“Oh, hey! I was just streaming the match live on the hyperlink and It seems a lot of people wanted to watch, so they came over.” (Carlos)

“You and your videos! You’re always trying to involve people in things!” (Lucy)

Carlos continued his steam through the arenas cameras, without paying any attention to me.

“Hm, let's make this more interesting.” (Carlos)

“What are you going to do?….oh...my….god…” (Lucy)

I watched as Carlos changed the game mode from team battle to mech wave mode and selected ten thousand adv. mechs as the opponents.

“Carlos are you crazy?! They can’t survive a wave like that!” (Lucy)

“Don’t worry, it’s all for the viewers!” (Carlos)
